If you had to pick, who would you say had the flyest ‘fit?

New Years outfits vary as widely as New Years party themes: the club jam, the house party, the gala ball. Since everybody doesn’t pop their champagne the same, here are three looks to satisfy three types of divas: The Glam Goddess, the Downtown Scenester, and The Around the Way Girl.

You’re the type of girl who loves the glitter and gold, and dressing down is not an option! Go for a shiny look that focuses on sequins, eye catching cocktails, and fur (faux of course!):

1. White Faux Mink Wrap, $119 2. BCBG Ivory Ruched Sequin Dress, $90 3. Stuart Weitzman Pipesashay Shoes, $345. 4. Charlotte Ronson Faux Fur Bolero, $281. 5. Rachel Gilbert Scottie Sequin Dress, $875. 6. Victoria’s Secret Embellished Peep Toe Pump, $119.

You might get your shine on, but you’re also not afraid to go the uncharted route. To dress up, you throw on a scene stealing dress with bad accessories, and unflinchingly play with it all–ruffles, feathers, and unexpected pops of color.

1. Givenchy by Ricardo Tisci Jacket, $2,760. 2. Pencey Feather Dress, $524 3. Yves St. Laurent Jeweled Silk Pump, $890. 4. Patricia Field Bronze Half Glove with Studs, $58-$68 5. Generation BCBG Strapless Dress, $132. 6. Marc by Marc Jacobs Peep Toe Pumps, $435.

A saucy look is important, but for you casual comfort is key. You keep it laid back in liquid leggings, but showcase your bold side with exotic patterns, metallics, or scene stealing stilettos:

1. Geren Ford Black Leather Jacket, $400 2. American Apparel Lame Black Bodysuit, $30 3. American Apparel Lame Shiny Leggings, $42 4. Casadei Suede/Patent Pump, $390. 5. Members Only Metallic Liquid Leggings, $88. 6. Charlotte Russe Zebra Sequin Tank, $17. 7. Report Signature Shoes Downey Platform Cutout Ankle Bootie, $175. 8. Members Only – Gold Zipper Jacket, $995.

Way back in July 2007, curious Fashion Bomber Lindsay wrote in about a mysterious sexy dress she noticed popping up on every red carpet imaginable.
She said, “Who makes those dresses that many celebrities such as Rihanna, Solange, Ciara, and Kim Kardashian have been wearing?”

“…I saw a picture of Solange wearing a fuschia one, Rihanna wore a pink one, and Kim has one in like every color of the rainbow!“
We did a little research, and found the dresses in question were Herve Leger. It was an exciting time: we loved the frock’s silhouette and sultry cut. Fashion Bomb stars also couldn’t get enough:

Now that seemingly everyone on the celeb circuit has a Herve Leger in their closet, does it have the same appeal?
I personally start to roll my eyes when I see one. “You’re having a party. Banded skin tight dress? How creative…“
Are you similarly suffering from HL overload?
Tis the season for company holiday fetes and get togethers!

I was perusing the Billionaire Boys Club blog, and happened upon one of their newer items: A $310 BBC Space Reindeer Knit Zip Hoodie

I actually love the idea of holiday sweaters for women, but the jury’s still out for men. Part of me thinks it’d be really cute, part of me thinks the look would be a little suspect. Would your man rock this?
While you mull it over, a gratuitous Pharrell picture:
Yum! Can I have him for Christmas??
Hey!
So while I’m in Paris, I of course have my chic barometer out for dope designers on the French front. One that should definitely be on your radar is Dumpe Fresh:

With T-shirts starting at $37 and hoodies averaging $70, Dumpe Fresh pieces are certainly affordable wardrobe upgrades. And I could see anyone from Teyana Taylor to Kanye West rocking one of their t’s!
It seems they have events here in Paris, so I’m going to try to check them out in person. For you guys in the States, visit their myspace page at www.myspace.com/dumpefresh, check out their online store at www.dumpefresh.com or read their blog at blog.dumpefresh.com.
Bisous!
Sophisticated designer Rachel Roy popped in to the Cinema Society and Entertainment Weekly screening of “The Wrestler” last night at the Tribeca Grand Screening Room:

I’m a sucker for shoe boots and I want to applaud her creativity in refashioning an oversized jacket into a dress. Edginess is always hot, but this look makes me go hmm…
What do you think?
In addition to his verbal dexterity, it seems rapper Common also has a knack for fashion design…

He recently collaborated with Microsoft’s t-shirt line SoftWear to create the following retro gems:

The Fashion Bomb readers are super savvy, talented individuals, and 16-year-old Lovetta Conto is no exception!

A survivor of Liberia’s civil war, this young entrepreneur and finalist for the 2008 International Children’s Peace Prize decided to use her talents in jewelry design to help others. Fashioning necklaces and bracelets out of bullets left behind from the war, Lovetta sells her creations to raise money for the renovation of a war-ravaged hotel in Liberia that will soon be home to other gifted youths from challenging circumstances.

Left to Right: Akawelle Bracelet in Silver, $125;Akawelle Necklace in Leather, $75; Akawelle Necklace in Silver, $125
Turns out Lovetta loves the Fashion Bomb! She became a fan when she moved to the US from a refugee camp in West Africa–the good old TFB was her first bookmarked site and one of the reasons she learned to use the internet! Wow.
The young stylista hopes to create her own teen fashion magazine in Africa. You can do it girl!
Read more about the fabulous Lovetta on her website here, and buy one of her pieces as a holiday gift for a good cause.
