Style File: Vanessa and Angela Simmons

Hey!
It’s been a while since we’ve had a Style File, so today I decided to highlight budding bombshells Angela and Vanessa Simmons:

vanessaangelasimmons

Ever since their reality TV debut on Run’s House, they’ve silently yet steadily increased their style quotient:
When the dynamic duo first hit the celebrity circuit in 2006, they favored a ‘girls next door’ approach comprised of ho hum jeans, lackluster t-shirts and skirts from the juniors department…

In short shrift they either hired a stylist or had Auntie Kimora work her magic, as they started bringing the Fabulosity on a regular basis.
For casual events, they rock tailored jeans, offset by bright colored hoodies with boots…

…or age appropriate dresses, with the younger Angela going for fun patterns, and the older Vanessa favoring more sophisticated neutrals like black and tan topped off with statement bags:

Red carpet events invite a slicker aesthetic, but Angela captures the fun in glittered sequined cocktails while Vanessa keeps it chic in black satin and peep toes:

They both have distinct looks, yet it seems neither is afraid to play with textures…

Fashion Query: Stockings for Brown Skinned Bombshells

Last night curvaceous Toccara made her way to the premiere of Cadillac Records in NYC:

toccara-jones-new-yo9aed76

All looks fine until you reach Toccara’s legs, where it seems she quickly popped on a pair of sheer stockings in a color far from ‘mocha brown.’
Can’t blame her: it’s hard to find hosiery that actually complements our skin color. I remember back in the day finding a few pairs of Mahogany sheer hose at Kroger, but now I just skip the drama and opt for a pair of black opaques.
Still, this begs the question: Have you guys found a great brand of brown skin colored pantyhose??

Rumors: Anna Wintour Possibly Out at Vogue??

Talk about grist for the mill.
The blogosphere is abuzz with news that Conde Nast head Si Newhouse is in Paris negotiating with French Vogue Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld to have her replace current Vogue EIC Anna Wintour.

Gawker , Jossip, and Fashionista offer more details but I must say, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard this. I’m taking it with a big ole grain of salt for now. But it does beg the question: are we ready for a change of the guard at America’s Fashion Bible?
