On top of shopping at affordable J.Crew, Michelle Obama shows she’s recession friendly, repeating a Moschino Bow Top she wore while in Europe again today for the White House Bring Your Children to Work Day:

In response to the question, “Would you Wear the Same Thing Twice?“ Michelle answers “Yes!” but does it right by switching things up and adding a new Junya Watanabe cardigan:

Bombshells,
It’s Adri, and I’m finally back from the Matthew Williamson Mayhem at H&M this morning!

Maybe it was M. Williamson’s proppah Britishness or the fact that the quality of this capsule collection went over and above H&M’s last one, but this time around the atmosphere was *tons* more convivial and fun. Also, I went in with a plan: I was getting a blue blazer and studded belt even if it meant abandoning all dignity and running in “Supermarket Sweep”-style to grab the wares.

I spent the hour chitchatting with fellow fashion die-hards and even got interviewed on-camera by WWD.com! Then, the doors opened and we all rushed forward to do our part for the economy.

Thankfully, no one bum-rushed the mannequins this time but everything did go quickly. The items that disappeared right away were the blazer and belt, along with this gorgeous beaded mini-dress, which lasted maybe a good 30 seconds on the racks.

These were by far the three best items of the collection. And…I got the two of them that I wanted!

Euphoric, weary, and looking just a little worse for the wear, I called it a morning and went home to think about how soon I could wear my loot without looking too thirsty.

Let us know if you made it to your local H&M!

I think I’ve found a new obsession: Ruthie Davis shoes! Sky high and gorgeous, the shoes come in a rainbow of colors–from neon pink and yellow to black and white with a twist.
I like these $895 Sushi Double Platform Mary Janes:

From the front they may look like regular black peep toes, but turn around and…bam!
A few more hot selections:
Beyonce’s a fan!

Vuitton’s favorite runway model Georgie Badiel covers Arise Magazine’s May Issue. A few shots of the spread:

Isn’t that first pic a little reminiscent of Naomi Campbell? Gorgeous.
Take a look at the cover:

Has anyone read Arise? Is it any good?
I’m suddenly in love with peplums, short overskirts or ruffles attached at the waistline to a jacket, blouse, or dress. The look is hot right now in the UK…only a matter of time before it hits American shores. Get a leg up on the trend with this Rule Breaker Dress in Gray from Lulus:

The strapless style is great for a night out, and $35 is the perfect price for a splash in the pan piece.

I was over at Glamour’s blog, and came across a good discussion they were having over the definition of plus sized:

In a photo shoot, they featured a woman they called plus sized who was actually a size 10– ‘real sized’ by most standards.
We’ve come across the same discussion before in a Plus Sized Style Spotlight about former ANTMer Toccara.

Readers were upset that we classified her as plus size saying, “Tocarra is NOT a plus size model. Tocarra is like a size 6 haha. She just has big knockers. But Im a big girl and I wear a 16…that’s plus size to us real women.”

Bold and Beautiful said, “I don’t think she is plus size anymore. Just my opinion,” and BRG said, “I don’t see anything plus sized about Toccara.”
In Hollywood, is everyone above a 6 considered ‘plus sized’?

And if that’s the case, aren’t we all plus sized?
A few of fashion’s finest came out last night for a Vanity Fair Party in NYC. Some got it right, while others…hmmm…
Andre Leon Talley affixed an oversized Obama family pin to a double breasted military jacket topped off with crystal adorned black flats:

Supporting Obama through fashion is hot! but those shoes…hmmm…
Kanyeezie also showed up in a simple close cut black tuxedo, v-neck top and his own Louis Vuitton sneakers:

After the mullet, short shorts, and other fashion eccentricities, Kanye looks sexy and fresh dressed! Hot!
Last but not least, designer Rachel Roy shined in a orange off shoulder Rachel Roy dress and Louis Vuitton Spicy Sandals:

The sandals are always hot, but the draping on the dress makes me go Hmm…
