I see you Cici!
Hey Bombshells,
Spring weather is anything but predictable, but this weekend’s celeb fashions? I’ve never seen so many of the fashionable play it so safe all at once. Makes me long for the days of Demi Moore’s spandex shorts at the Oscars…let’s take a gander and see if you agree?

Model-mogul Tyra Banks sashayed onto the red carpet at The New York Times’ Sunday With the Magazine event wearing a sleeveless caramel colored Black Halo Jackie O Dress with matching peep-toe pumps. Her subtle makeup and the pop of color from her ring enhance the look (is it just me, or is she also looking a bit more svelte here?), and she’s quite well put together for an appearance at a cultural gig. A simmering Hot.

Further south at Churchill Downs, Gabrielle Union stuck to her usual red carpet black ensemble and rocked a strapless satin sheath, platform sandals, and oversized derby hat. While it’s hard for Gabrielle not to look lovely, this look is a bit boring and could use more punching up to go with the formal yet festive attire the Kentucky Derby is known for. Certainly not a Hmm, but not sure it’s a total Hot, either…

Is there a weekend after which we haven’t featured Kim K.? Her eye-catching fashion sense is almost always Hot or Hmm-worthy, and the outfit she chose for the Derby is just fab. The sleeveless white sheath, black lace gloves, and dove gray chapeau with netting are elegant yet fun, and something I’d have loved to wear while sipping a mint julip and taking in the races. Loves it, and a definite hawt!

Back in NYC, Ciara came out to support the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women charity in black skinny jeans, a cropped gunmetal windbreaker, and black leather boots with pink soles. I’m not sure if Ci-Ci performed but everyone else who was photographed at this event had on their running shoes and exercise pants. And even though it’s always better to dress up than down, those boots are in violation of Vuitton’s “elf shoes” edict, which I wholeheartedly agree with. Hmm…

Finally, at the Rally for Kids With Cancer soiree, Eva Longoria-Parker channeled her inner Holly Golightly with a strapless black-and-white A-line dress paired with what’s becoming a celeb staple, YSL’s back patent platform pumps. A girlish, adorable look for the normally sexy “Housewife”–innocently Hot…
While there was not a hot mess among the ladies and no one looked less than passable, is it just me or were the fashionable a bit too low-key this weekend?

It’s Friday and I’m up way too early for my liking! All the better…that means more Mail Bombs for you!

Let’s get it crackin!
First Meeka says, “Is it possible to tell me the designer of these shoes Alicia Keys has on… they’re HOT!!!!“

“I must add them to my shoe game!“
Adriana says, “Alicia’s distinctive, goddess-heeled sandals are from Christian Dior’s Spring/Summer 2009 Collection, which we reported about in our seasonal Paris shoe roundup:“

“…Exact pricing was unavailable on Dior’s site but Web rumor has it they go for upwards of $1,500. Contact the label directly for further details.“
Next, Talia says, “I saw this picture of Leona Lewis in the airport and fell in love with her bag!”

“…I need it! Where can I get it??”
According to our friends at Red Carpet Fashion Awards, Leona is wearing this $68 Deux Lux Ruffle Bag:

…get yours at www.urbanoutfitters.com.
Tyi asks, “I was wondering if there’s an alternative to the Louis Vuitton Spicy sandal that’s rocking the fashion world?“

“…I know you guys mentioned the Bebe Katrin sandal, but that shoe has since sold out! Do you know of any good alternatives? I MUST have them for my Vegas trip!!!!!“
Tyi, the Spicy Sandal is a one-of-a-kind expensive shoe, and unfortunately Bebe is the only brand that has come close to offering a look alike. We found you some funky sandals that’ll set your outfit apart from the rest. Not quite the Spicy, but still hot:
Now for some wardrobe queries!
Corinne says, “I’m interested in wearing a tubed romper/jumper for my birthday party, but I can’t seem to find one. Do you have any suggestions?”
Adriana says, “Happy birthday, Corinne! Here are a few sleeveless jumpsuit options at various price points:”
Lastly Nikhol writes, “Hey Guys, I’m going on vacation in August and traveling to Europe for 13 days. I was hoping you could provide me with some comfortable yet stylish ideas of what to wear while sight seeing, etc in the heat. Also, I’m a thick girl so short shorts are a no-no. lol. Thanks a bunch!â€
Vuitton says, “Here are some perfect pieces for that European heat:“
“Dresses in prints and sunny colors coincide with the atmosphere perfectly:”
“…Keep it flirty in cute skirts. If you make your way through Italy, pencil skirts are great as they’re classy and give off a vamp edge:
“Choose a few flattering tops”
“…Wide-leg trousers are perfect for the weather and can easily be worn with heels or flats:”
“Saunter around town in flats or wedges, and pull out a pair of sexy sandals for a night out:”
“…And hold all of your maps, itineraries, and that multi-lingual phrase dictionary in your large tote. Top everything off with a pair of oversized sunglasses:”
“Have fun on your vacay! “
And have great weekends!
Bisous!
Atlanta’s finest came out last night for Ciara’s album release party, offering fodder for a quick morning Hot or Hmm:

The lady of the moment stunted with best buddy Monica looking edgy in a pompadour hairstyle and leather vest. Monica also kept it super cute in a sheer white tank, cascading pearls, and sunglasses. Her footwear didn’t hurt either:

Those lace up Chanel shoes are Hot!
My favorite housewife Nene also made an appearnce in a green tube dress and leggings:

I loves me some Nene, so will give her snaps for a cute outfit and hot hairstyle.
What do you think?
