So this weekend, I hit up a party for a French rapper called Disiz:

It was at a cool club called Gibus (www.gibus.fr) by Place de la Republique. I didn’t have my camera with me (shame!), but did get a few friends to snap some Real Style. Check it:

These girls were so sweet! I liked young lady on the left’s jumper and hair, and the exotic print skirt on the right.

I spied lots of oversized t-shirts, but appreciate this guy’s nod to Vogue!

Can’t go wrong with sunglasses inside and a cute swept up do…

And guys seem to love logo t’s and baseball hats…even if they’re not from the States!

Lastly, these girls represented in sunglasses and fun t’s. Cute looks for a great night!

Hey y’all,
It’s Memorial Day weekend so the fashionable are in far-flung exotic locales, from Antibes to Atlantic City. Although no one seems to have taken a vacation from fashion, the pickings for Hot or Hmm are a bit slim since everyone seems to be kicking back and enjoying the first unofficial weekend of summer. Let’s take a look at who did come out, shall we?

Zoe Saldana continued her quest to dominate the global red carpet in Antibes at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala, where the Bomb fave donned a complicated, nude colored frock with black and gold, high-heeled sandals. Her simple accessories and hairstyle throw her dramatic features into stark relief, and while it’s hard for the stunning Zoe to look all the way bad, the voluminous drape of fabric on the left side of the dress seems to swallow the effect of the outfit instead of making a statement, Hmm…

Also at the amfAR gala, Kerry Washington sported a close-fitting, floor-length gown with an intricate deco print in what appears to be silver brocade. Love her gold clutch and loos, romantic waves but something about the cut of this dress is a little staid and dowdy, even though I love the print. I’d really like to see Kerry take more fashion risks, Hmm…

The weekend wouldn’t be complete without a Kim Kardashian sighting, this time visiting of The Pool club at Harrah’s. The silhouette of this dress makes Kim appear a bit fuller than what she really is, and even though I think the fabric is interesting and love her chunky bangles, it’s a tad awkward, Hmm…

Finally, fashion editrix extraordinaire Carine Roitfeld had a rare Hmm moment at the Dolce & Gabbana dinner for the Cannes Film Festival. Her asymmetrical, one-shoulder wrap, hot pants, sheer hose, and gladiator heels might each work separately but, together, not so much.

Lots of hot accessories, but I think the best part of this look is his confidence.  The thumbs in the pockets and slightly off kilter stance communicate a certain pride that makes this ensemble special.

This year the GAP asked winners of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion fund to rework another GAP classic:

My Samsung SGH E-307 flip phone (Tape is holding the battery.  What can I say?  It gives my phone character.)… My classic iPod Nano 4GB (They literally don’t make em like this anymore.)… My War Child bracelet ($5 each and 100% of net proceeds go to aiding kids affected by wars.  GREAT cause!)…My Christy’s Crown Wool Slick Fedora (It brings out the hipster in me)…and my absolute fave…ChapStick Spearmint (Cherry ChapStick is so 2008.  This gives you a cool feeling on the lips that leaves a minty taste.  Great for all you kissers out there.)

Methinks I should get an iPhone and ditch the cell phone and vintage iPod Nano.  What say you?
