The agency behind stunners like Ajuma and Oluchi need someone based in New York to help around the office. If you have a knack for being on time, are a computer whiz, know models like the back of your hands, and have some experience in fashion, this may be the job for you.
The internship is unpaid, but the experience and connections will make it worth it! For more info, click here.
I’m pretty sure Rodarte duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy wouldn’t be too pleased with the way Bebe’s turned out, and neither am I. The ombre in Bebe’s dress looks unfinished, the textures seem to have cheapened the look, and there isn’t as much volume in the tulle.
Needless to say, at $229 Bebe’s Shred Party Dress is significantly less expensive than Rodarte’s–great for any recessionista. Then again maybe this look shouldn’t have been “duplicated” to begin with.
To round out this week in chic, we’re giving you a few more BET Awards pics plus party shots and tributes to the late Michael Jackson:
I’m not quite sure where Trey Songz has been hiding…maybe it’s his new sleek hair cut, but he gets my vote this week! That white suit is white hot.

In addition to rocking for RL, she has also worked with Levi’s, Sephora, and Target, and has scored editorials in Cosmopolitan, Essence, Allure, and L’Officiel:
Today our boys over at Stuff Fly People Like are hitting us with a bit of nostalgia for the great eighties and its singular fashions:
While Rae reminisced on his dope slope haircut, all I can think of are those stone washed jeans I used to rock that are mildly reminiscent of the tie dyed joints of today.
What about you? What childhood trends are you wearing now?
Last week model Chanel Iman turned up super early for a cover shoot at Teen Vogue. Instead of wait around or go sip on a latté, she asked if she could help out in the fashion closet, and help she did:
A tickled Teen Vogue staffer said, “To our surprise, she was in such awe over the closet, [her] quick drive-by turned into a day interning with us! While clothing and accessory returns were being made around her, Chanel helped reorganize our closet and proved to be a major asset–there’s nothing like having a tall model around to help restock those high shoe shelves!”
Sounds cute!

Today I decided to take a look at consummate arm candy and budding fashionista…
…Amber Rose!
Say what you want about her short haircut, questionable past, or around the way girl swagger, this future model has been making her fashionable rounds, wearing some of the best pieces–period. Let’s take a look!
When Ms. Rose drops in to fashion shows with style connoisseur Kanye, she makes her mark in coordinated spandex outfits that pop in pink, red, or skin skimming black…
…almost always topped off with a sick pair of shades and clutch.
For red carpet events, she trades in the pants, favoring dresses with long or short hems, finished off with a bright lip and Blue Steel stare:
When she’s out of the spotlight Amber lets it all hang out, going for comfort in her traditional spandex or opting for a pair of easy shorts:
Wherever she goes, she always stands out–perfect for an outstanding up and coming style star.
