Fashion Bomb friend and celebrity makeup artist Jackie Gomez has created some of your favorite beauty looks for stunners like Beyonce, Solange, and Zoe Saldana.
One of the looks she’s recreated regularly for Solange is the signature “war stripe” Solo often sports across her eyes (she did the above one for Solange’s appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”). Below, Jackie gives us the *exclusive* scoop on how to paint it on yourself, along with recommended products for each step!
*********
1. First: make sure to do your foundation. Recommended:Korres Organic Primer, MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation.
3. Select a creamy eye makeup in any color. Using an angled eye makeup brush, apply it between the eyes. Start at the center of the nose as both a guide and to achieve a perfect line across the eyes. Make sure to go a little under the crease of the eye for a thin and sexy line! Recommended:MAC Paint Pot.
4. Once you’re done applying the cream color, take a liquid eyeliner and apply it as close to the lash line as possible. Recommended:Makeup Forever Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.
5. After the eyeliner dries, curl the lashes and add on 3 coats of mascara. Apply lash extensions for a fuller effect. Recommended:MAC #7 Lashes.
Beauty bastion MAC Cosmetics recently debuted a new line called Style Warrior, a bronzing collection dominated by golds, browns, and pops of color:
Featuring products like Refined Golden Bronzing Powder, Deep Dark Skinsheen, Golden Bronze Iridescent Loose Powder, and Lustre Drops, the collection seems perfect for dark skinned beauties looking for highlights to make their skin pop in the summer sun! Take a look:
I absolutely *love* the eyeshadow colors…and the packaging is fierce! And hey, maybe I can go for a yellow lipglass for the hot summer months?
Swedish photog Therese Aldgård and prop stylist Lisa Edsälv decided to bake and photograph cupcakes in designer style. Apparently it took them three days to fashion these yummy creations inspired by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Betsey Johnson, Agent Provocateur, and Christian Louboutin:
We all saw Sheree with her Louis Vuitton cake, but for some reason this idea seems a tad more classy. Don’t you think?
Beyonce continues to show her allegiance to Balmain, wearing a white cream military style jacket from the line for a London outing with hubby Jay-Z:
While I like Beyonce’s other more Michael Jackson-esque Military Jacket, this ones seems more versatile. And it’s a bit cheaper at $3,564!
If you still can’t swing it, get Beyonce’s look for less with these items:
So this weekend, I hit up a party for a French rapper called Disiz:
It was at a cool club called Gibus (www.gibus.fr) by Place de la Republique. I didn’t have my camera with me (shame!), but did get a few friends to snap some Real Style. Check it:
Kanye West’s presence is felt even overseas…
These girls were so sweet! I liked young lady on the left’s jumper and hair, and the exotic print skirt on the right.
I spied lots of oversized t-shirts, but appreciate this guy’s nod to Vogue!
Can’t go wrong with sunglasses inside and a cute swept up do…
And guys seem to love logo t’s and baseball hats…even if they’re not from the States!
Lastly, these girls represented in sunglasses and fun t’s. Cute looks for a great night!
