So I’ve begun to notice a handful of Bomb Celebs rocking big, look-at-me, bangs:
Expectant mother Kelis wore blond bangers in a magazine spread for Oyster Magazine, Sheree grew bangs to bless the second season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and J. Lo rocked hers on set for her new movie.
The style can instantly change your essence, adding a dash of mystery to your look.
While I 100% cosign a little side sweep action like Christina Milian:
It’s the summer time, and of course we all like to showcase our cute toes in chic sandals!
At home pedicures are easy to do with the following goodies.
Follow these steps so your feet are at their best!
1. SOAK: Every great pedicure starts with a great relaxing soak with aroma therapeutic benefits. Try something with peppermint, lavender or rosemary to get skin and senses relaxed and revitalized. A great pick is the Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Foot Soak in Tranquil Mint ($15 at www.bbw.com)
2. SCRUB: Tackle those rough spots with a pumice stone or foot scrub to get silky, smooth soles. Lippmann Collection Soul Mission Foot Scrub will deeply repair dry cracked feet and provide moisture at the same time. And it has yummy crystalized grapefruit that will also energize!
*If you need a little more than just a scrub, use Sally Hansen Just Feet Smoothing Pumice Stone in addition to the scrub for some heavy duty exfoliating. It also doubles as a foot massager!
3. TREAT: Cuticles need love too! Hook them up with Carol’s Daughter Lemon & Jojoba Cuticle Oil and push them back. (FYI…Mary J Blige and Jada Pinkett Smith are fans)!
4. MASSAGE: A pedicure isn’t a pedicure without a foot and leg massage.  To keep the minty freshness going, massage feet and legs with peppermint infused lotion like C.O. Bigelow Mentha Foot Cream. Skin feels refreshed and cool long after the pedicure is over. ($14 at www.bigelowchemists.com)
*Pssst…. If you’re headed on a date later that night try a sexy body cream instead like Benefit Touch Me Then Try to Leave Me Cream for use on ALL body parts. The end result is silky, smooth skin from the tootsies all the way up!
5. FINISH: Finish off the pedi with a great summer color from the Essie Summer Collection, which includes soft corals and nudes, with bursts of bright pinks and oranges. Pinks and oranges are the IT shades for the summer season!
BONUS: For extra pampering during a pedicure, try lighting a Banana Republic Beach House Candle for ultimate relaxation. ($24 at Banana Republic Stores)
Hey Beauties!
If you’re looking for the perfect all-in-one product for your at-home pedicure, you might want to try Barielle’s 60 Second Mani Pedi scrub. I recently got a sample to try and, overall, was mighty impressed!
Pros: It really does work in 60 seconds. My hands and feet were *positively silky* after I used it. After you rinse off the scrub, rub in the residual oil (which is not greasy at all) to moisturize your skin, then voila, you’re good to go. Also: fab citrus scent that’s not overpowering. Cons: The salt granules are not a game and can be quite rough, especially on sensitive skin. Try just a small dollop at first and work some more in if necessary. Also, at $25 it’s not exactly cheap (then again it will save you a few trips to the nail salon).
Cop one online or visit Barielle.com to find a store near you that sells the brand.
Let us know if you’ve tried it or will!

Young reader Sydney submitted the following pictures for Fashion Bombshell of the Day:
With a cool, easy swagger, Sydney looks just as cute in a floral dress as she does in jeans and a tank.

Today I wanted to officially welcome beauty correspondent Eileen to our team!!
You may have noticed her posts on Tuesdays, where she gives us the bomb beauty advice.
In addition to fashion, we strive to give you the best in style and beauty–thankfully Eileen is a certified makeup maven. Take a look at her makeup bag!
She says, “My love affair with beauty first started while interning at Bloomingdales as a junior at Syracuse University. I just could NOT resist all the makeup counters! I see beauty and cosmetics as something fun–it’s my current obsession.“
Pretty soon we’ll have Eileen all set up with a Fashion Bomb e-mail account so you can shoot her any beauty questions you may have. Until then, leave a comment…
So I was perusing hot magazine 5Point and came across this arresting editorial featuring Chain Shades by Odd & Even NYC:
If you lust after the look of Rihanna’s A Morir by Kerin Rose shades, but don’t have $250 to spare, these are for you! Odd & Even’s shades are recession and wallet friendly at only $20. Woot!
And take a look at a few of their fabulous accessories:
Did I mention most items are under $50?!? I want…everything.
So I was cruising on one of my new fave shopping websites, Colette.fr, and came across this bracelet by young designer Johanne Mills:
According to the site, “London based designer Johanne Mills graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Mixed Media Textiles. Specializing in textiles while working in ceramics, sculpture and photography, Johanne’s entire graduation collection was bought by Donna Karan.” That’s a pretty dope graduation present!
Take a look at her designs plus prices at Colette.fr. This particular bangle is €380 or about $540 . Quite a splurge, but imagine it with a black shift. Fire!
