YSL certainly brought the heat with these stunners. Sporting a stingray-print patterned platform and heel and broad elastic straps, they’re such a statement piece without being so overpowering. You can make heads turn for $795. Get them here!
Taking our cues from yesterday’s Bombshell, Chastity, we just thought a bib necklace would be a perfect steal for this upcoming season.
This number from Charlotte Russe has such a luxurious look, and thinking like a recessionista with this $20 necklace will get you everywhere. Get your piece of chic and cheap here!
So as we speak we’re preparing to hit the Bryant Park tents!
Until we can report back, we’ll keep the Fashion Bomb goodness going with Bombshell Talecia (Tah-lee-cee-ah ) from Toronto:
She says, “I’m a young fashion student who loves to shop and play dress up in clothes that have a vintage vibe. I’m in love with thrift stores and once in a while I’ll look in the mall for things I cant find.“
“I try to stay away from trends and look to the 90’s for fashion inspiration. I just put on my clothes and go!“
Talecia, you certainly know how to switch it up!
Whether you’re edgy, vintage, or casual, you manage to look fly.
What do you guys think of her style?

Kid Cudi wore Louis Vuitton’s Conspiration Pilote Sunglasses to a recent event:
The understated $560 shades feature the LV Damier print on the nose bridge and arms. It’s a great way to show your brand devotion without going too overboard.
Learn more about the fly specs at www.louisvuitton.com.
She says, “”I’ve been doing okay…Work helps focus all of that energy on something that is of value to you.” She’s just back from vacation, a princely three days on a beach. “It was the first time I had to myself since Michael passed, the first time I could get away since all of that.”
Some of the best fashion can be seen off the runway as fashionistas and fashionistos adorn themselves in the most creative ways. I’ll be there with my Canon and Flip Video to capture it all.
3. Beautiful New Faces
We of course love Chanel, Arlenis, and Sessilee, but it’s also great to see new girls on the block. Be on the lookout this year for Jeneil Williams (left), a 5’9″ stunner who’s made cameos in Teen and Italian Vogue, and Texan R’el Dade who recently debuted on Valentino’s runway.
4. Shows
We’re not 100% sure if Baby Phat is showing this year, but in case Kimora takes a year off to tend to her newborn baby and family, we still have lots of shows to dip into! Adriana and I have been confirmed for BCBG, Herve Leger, Christian Siriano, Nicole Miller, ARISE, and more. While the tents still hold their allure we secretly can’t wait for She by Sheree at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Stay tuned!
5. Parties!
With the MTV Music Awards going down on the 13th, there will be an onslaught of celebrities and paparrazzi flash moments. We hope to report on all the after hours fun bringing you the hottest pix and fashion dish.
Today I wanted to tell you about one of Britain’s most fantastic designers, Duro Olowu:
A Nigerian native and UK resident, Duro began his career as a lawyer before trying his hand at design. His vivid prints, bright colors, and expert cuts caught the eyes of US and UK editors, whose praise and exposure eventually helped him secure the ‘Designer of the Year’ award in the 2005 British Fashion Awards.
Most noted for his fearless combination of patterns and fabrics, Olowu flawlessly marries African prints with European tailoring. In his Spring 2009 collection you can find dresses patched together from Parisian silk or Moroccon upholstery, gold lamé and polka dot shifts, and blazers and pants groupings featuring purple, yellow, and teal. Busy tones and designs are calmed down by Olowu’s simple proportions and flattering silhouettes:
Olowu is married to Thelma Golden, Chief Curator and Director of the Studio Museum in Harlem:
Golden’s eye for art and beauty undoubtedly helps inform her husband’s work.
