Just because it’s fashion week doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about our daily bombshells! Today we have sorority girl Cherelle:
She says, “As a member of a sorority, I get invited to many balls, dinners, cabarets, etc. …the whole nine. They require me to get all dolled up which I love so much. Here is my favorite look for this year. And it’s another one for us thick girls. What do you think?”
I personally love a simple look, and you pull it off! Feeling the strapless draped sweetheart and your exotic print shoes.
What do you guys think of Cherelle’s style?

The stars came out in droves last night for Baby Phat’s Spring 2010 collection, Moroccan Kiss:
As soon as I walked into Roseland Ballroom, I spied several celebrities peppering the front row, including the elusive Amber Rose, stylist June Ambrose, raven haired Kim Kardashian, and more:
After about half an hour, the show began with a loud blast of music, as brightly colored clothes and a bass driven soundtrack literally shook up the room:
Kimora’s Spring 2010 collection mixed the easy feel of 70’s separates with Moroccan opulence and style. Using a color palette of coral, turquoise, pink, and violet, she showcased laced blouses, draped dresses, sequined separates, and tailored outerwear all with oodles of gold jewelry and embellishments:
The line included skin clinging jewel toned dresses, colorblocked flouncy tops, floor grazing floral maxi dresses, and easy oversized white shirts , predominantly worn with gold accented sandals and oversized tote bags. Artfully combining tie dye, acid wash, and look-at-me patterns, Kimora presented a line made for a cool tween or young adult with a daring sense of their blooming sensuality:
My favorites included ruffled monokinis in navy and exotic print:
And bright sequined skirts that reflected the gold dust on the runway:
Out of all of Kimora’s collections, this one seemed the most wearable. I could see all of these hot items hanging on the racks in Macy’s, awaiting an eager tween or twenty something to scoop them up. From her new husband and baby to her increasingly chic collection, it seems everything for Kimora is on the uptick!
For the final walk, models stomped out to Michael Jackson’s PYT:
After a bit of a wait Kimora appeared with Ming, Aoki, and newborn Kenzo:
I also stopped Teyana Taylor after the event to ask her what she thought:
Upscale Hype has the scoop on Rihanna’s latest splurge, a $3,385 Zagliani Python Puffy Bag:
She recently rocked the expensive piece to catch a flight to L.A. Does anyone else remember the Real Housewives episode where Sheree purchased this (the bag “Shot full of Botox”)?
At any rate if you want to get down Real Housewife or Rihanna style, find store locations at www.zagliani.it.
Hey Guys!
So last night I attended the endlessly fun Baby Phat show at Roseland Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan. The stylistas were out, the music was blasting, and clothes were pumping down the runway!
I managed to interview a few style stars, including Sheree and Teyana Taylor. Until I get the bomb show review together, here are just a few snaps of Real Style:
I was feeling the sequined tights, blazer, layered necklaces, and ruby red shoes, but what really set this oufit OFF was her polka dot bowtie. How cute is that?
Loved this girl’s feathered frock, which she apparently purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue. Her brown and black open toe shoe boots were killer as well.
Simplicity is key! Young lady on the left added a floral bolero to a white top and skinny pants, while diva on the right shined in a draped gray dress.
And of course I took a pic! I chose to wear Dolce Vita hooded dress from Pieces, a Chanel Metallic Evening Bag from Avelle, and gold bracelets and necklace from Jenny Dayco.

Stay tuned for a show review, celebrity pix, and tons of video!
Smootches!
Last night model Jessica White was spied wearing one of fall’s most coveted items:
Balmain’s $13,395 Peak Shoulder Leather Quilted Jacket.
The work of art has tulle and chain link detailing around neck and through the front, concealed hooks to fasten, and three-quarter length sleeves.
The droolworthy jacket is definitely dope, but looking at it on Jessica makes me go hmm…does it look like a $14,000 jacket?
If so, get it plus a few more options below:
New York Magazine has the following scans of Amber Rose’s spread (no pun intended) in the October Issue of Elle Magazine:
The five pager shows Rose in various states of contemplation and repose, lounging and gazing in different sections of a high rise city apartment:
While Amber is now a legitimate model, it seems she can’t quite let go her ‘Smooth’ and ‘King’ like aura, posing with her back arched high and unabashedly showing her bare buttocks in a dominatrix like leather bodysuit:
Am I the only one surprised that this will be in Elle Magazine? And are you impressed with Kanye’s styling skills? Source
So when I interviewed Dwight Eubanks of Real Housewives of Atlanta fame backstage at the ARISE fashion show, he revealed that he would be showing his own ‘Toolbox’ collection on Monday. As with all things Real Housewife related, I was skeptical…until I received the press release.
Apparently the show would go on at 9pm Monday night in the meatpacking district, so, encouraged by a few Dwight lovin’ Twitter followers, I went:
I was slightly impressed by the professionalism of the event. Dwight had a very legitimate looking press check in, and once I received my armband, I made my way downstairs to a room filled with people:
I recognized several stylists, fashionistas, and editors from Sheree’s event, and also spied former America’s Next Top Model Jade and former Apprentice castmate Stacy J. It wasn’t the most star studded gathering, but it was surprisingly well attended.
After a few introductory songs and performances…
…Dwight sent out his definition of high fashion.
His male and female models were outfitted in lingerie for the first few looks, with men in semi sheer white and black unitards with artfully placed cut outs, and women in scintillatingly skimpy teddy’s, nighties, and g strings:
Audience goers gasped and audibly said “Oh my God” as buff mannequins sauntered by with breasts, butts, and chests on full display:
After the lingerie segment, Dwight teased the crowd with slick silken pajama combinations and robes, seemingly suited for the playboys and girls who spend lots of time lounging:
And ended his spectacular presentation with suits and oversized blazers, made to flatter both men and women:
Dwight is known on TV for his over the top personality, and his theatrical event simply reflected his flamboyant nature. I’d hesitate to call what I saw new and revolutionary, as it wasn’t. The robes, oversized suits, and skin baring lingerie pieces reminded me of an International Male catalog.
What I can say is that Dwight put on a great performance. The costumes, especially the feathered creations, were bold, bright, and unabashedly out there. The lingerie wasn’t meant to make you run out and buy–rather it was simply shocking and titillating. If Dwight’s goal was to put on a show, honey, he did. And I enjoyed every minute of it!
While waiting for Dwight’s presentation to start, I took a few pictures of fashionable attendees:
I snapped aspiring stylist Jashiem Wiggins who looked dapper in a bowtie, cardigan, and silver link chain necklace…
I chit chatted with stylists Yolanda and Jai of The Art of Fashion, who looked both artful and stylish in a floral belted jumper and pouf shoulder shirt…
Marveled at designer Ugo Mozie of Aston Mozie‘s cool sunglasses, sharp sleeve vest, and ripped jeans…
And coo’ed at the outfit of this anonymous fashionable man who had the cutest fur hat!
Not a bad crowd for Mr. Dwight.
