Hey Bombers!
Welcome to Wardrobe Remix, where we show you different ways to incorporate one foundational item into your wardrobe!
Today we’re looking at a celeb favorite, black ankle boots. The trend was hot this summer, and can definitely carry on to fall, accenting dresses, jumpsuits, and jeans:

Liya Kebede wears a a pair of Alexander Wang combats boots with a white t-shirt, blazer, and statement scarf. The look is perfect for back to school:

Lala chose to wear black ankle boots with a See by Chloé sequined creation for a night on the town. Try the look with your hottest shimmering freakum dress for a red carpet worthy appeal:

Rihanna rocks ankle boots with an Alexander McQueen jumpsuit–definitely a hot look for a high wattage event:

Too dressy? Rock a zippered pair with a short romper, as Beyonce displays with her $975 Giuseppe Zanotti black leather multi-zip ankle boots:
Any way you wear ’em, you’re sure to look fly!

Hey Bombshells!
So after my trip to the Bahamas, I popped into NYC to catch up with friends and fashionable peeps!
I hit the ground running yesterday, dropping into a press conference…

…for men’s brand Alfani’s new line, Alfani Red, which features sleek designs, and a modern, closer fit:

It turns out Grammy award winning singer Ne-Yo is an ambassador for the brand and appears in their Fall 2009 Ad Campaign:

Of course I had to sidle up to him and snap a picture:

…and then I asked him a few questions about his personal style:

(Yes that’s my Baby Phat Notebook!).
Here’s our interview, which I filmed with my Fip Video:
Quite a nice introduction back to NYC! I’ll be here for about a week and will see what else I can get into.
Smootches!
Nothing says ‘classic style’ more than a Chanel Quilted 2.55 Handbag:

The $1500 bag is steeped in a storied history. The bag was introduced by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in February 1955 (which explains the number 2.55), and contains design elements that reflect Coco’s upbringing in an orphanage. The double chains represent the key chains of orphanage caretakers; the diamond quilting corresponds to the orphanage windows; and the red color inside matches that of the guard’s uniforms. Now you can wear the bag with just about anything–it’s undeniably chic!

Today, we have another Florida Bombshell, who calls herself “Goldie”:

She says, “I’m a PR student in Florida! After graduation I would love to pursue a career in Fashion Publicity ( I was inspired by your Breaking into Fashion posts), and follow in the footsteps of Bonnie Morrison. I love vintage clothes and have plans to open an online boutique.“
Such a great, quirky style, love!
Goldie has a blog as well, called Gold Labeler. Check it out at www.goldlabeler.com.
In the meantime, what do you think of her style?

Hey Bombshells!
It’s Eileen here for another Beauty Tuesday!
If you’ve ever longed for the looks of your fave celebs, I’m here to show you how to get it–step by step. Let’s go!
Gabrielle Union:

Eyes: Use Pur Minerals Shadow in Chocolate Topaz on lids and highlight brow bone with MAC Eyeshadow in Phloof. Fill in sparse brows with Pur Minerals Mineral Brow Perfection.
Lips: Lips stay very bare so try a clear or light pink gloss like Josie Maran Plumping Lip Gloss in Daring. And it tastes yummy!
Cheeks: Sweep a blush on cheeks like Benefit Cosmetics Thrrrob and highlight cheekbones and temples with a highlighter like Benefit Cosmetics High Beam.
Christina Milian:

Eyes: Sweep Avon’s Perfect Wear Extra Lasting Shadow in Bronze over lids and highlight the brow bone with Lancome’s Eye Shadow in Positive. Line the upper lid with MAC’s Liquid Eyeliner in black and use a black pencil for the lower lid to really make eyes pop. Finish up with DiorShow Iconic Mascara in Black.
Lips: Line lips with a nude or clear lip liner like L’Oreal Automatic Lip Liner to keep color from bleeding out. Fill in lips with Nars Lipstick in Funny Face.
Cheeks: Use a rosy shade of blush like Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy in Cherub. Seal in the look with a bronzer like Smashbox O-Bronze Intuitive Cheek Bronzer.
Nails: For the pretty in pink nails, give yourself an at home mani with China Glaze Nail Polish in Shocking Pink.
Solange:

Eyes: Use earth tone shadows on the lid, crease and under the brow using medium, dark and light shades respectively. Try LORAC Starry-Eyed Baked Eye Shadow Trio. Line the upper lid with a brown pencil to create a soft line like Neutrogena’s Nourishing Eye Liner in Brown Sugar. Brush brows and fill in as needed with Pur Minerals Universal Pencil in Natural to frame the face. Finish your eyes with a layer or two of Mascara in Dark Brown or Soft Black to upper and lower lashes.
Cheeks: Try using a soft blush like Bobbi Brown Blush in Tawny to create a natural glow.
Lips: To get Solange’s lips use a sheer pink lipstick. Try Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupte Sheer Sensual Gloss Stick SPF 9 in Chilled Raspberry.
~Go forth and get gorgeous!
