I can’t wait to watch ALT telling model hopefuls about the general ‘famine of beauty‘ in fashion and offering other fun quotable quips! ANTM will suddently be must see TV again!
The poster for Sex and the City2 has hit the ‘net with Carrie rocking a Halston Heritage Dress, Mykita & Bernard Willhelm’s Franz Limited-Edition Aviator Sunglasses, Solange Azagury-Partridge Necklace, Christian Louboutin Pigalle Gold Sequined Pumps, and Chanel Clutch. The movie will hit theaters May 28, 2010–are you excited??
I was a latecomer to the Sex and the City madness, only truly becoming a fan thanks to marathons after the show ended. I bought the box set before I moved to Europe, and watch it when I miss NYC! The original seemed so organic and fun, but the movie took fashion and consumerism to another level! The Chanel scarves, Louis Vuitton bags, and product placements seemed forced…even so I’ll most likely see the film (at least on DVD).
Vuitton here to bring you the latest on the best and worst looks from this weekend. Fashion Bomb favorites sashayed in stylish ‘fits across the globe, rocking everything from House of Harlow to Roland Mouret and Jean-Pierre Braganza. Let’s take a look:
Let’s start this off on a good note with none other than Zoe Saldana at the London premiere of Avatar. Over the past year the Dominican beauty has certainly stepped up her red carpet game!Ă‚ Rocking this gown from RM by Roland Mouret, she deserves nothing less than a simmering hot!Ă‚ I love how her choices are out of the box yet effortless.Ă‚ Chic!
Tolula Adeyemi also dipped into the London Premier of Avatar, killing it in a pair of Charlotte Olympia platform pumps and this unusual yet stunning white layered mini-dress. The up and coming stylista managed to look fashion forward yet not over the top. Hot!
Red carpet regular Kim Kardashian was spotted at a Hard Rock Cafe event rocking some very fierce black sandals and a black dress to match.Ă‚ Beautiful lady, but lately she’s been wearing a lot of black.Ă‚ It’s beginning to look a little “one trick pony” to me.Ă‚ Hmm…
Nicole Richie spent a day this weekend at Bloomingdales launching her holiday collection for House of Harlow.Ă‚ Her post-baby body is beyond, but I feel like the color of her dress is a little mundane for her often vivacious personality.Ă‚ She’s treading in lukewarm water…
The Noisettes singer Shingia Shoniwa was seen on the scene at the St. Trinian’s 2 premiere donning this vibrant Jean-Pierre Braganza Cold Shoulder dress.Ă‚ While hot pink isn’t exactly a shade for the season, she executes the look perfectly with matching nails…and the hair alone deserves a hot!
Lastly, our girl Kelly Rowland attended a Grey Goose event in London in a gorgeous navy embellished gown.Ă‚ Not a huge fan of the hair, but her makeup is, as per usual, en pointe.Ă‚ Hot, Miss Kelly!

The Fashion Bomb has had many facelifts since it debuted in August 2006. Let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we?
It all started with the brown and pink cursive header accented with the red Kenneth Coles of a formerly anonymous urban fashionista (me!). Back in 2006, we were rocking with the Pepto Pink background and not much else! Unfortunately I wasn’t technologically savvy enough to take a screenshot, but thankfully I saved the header for posterity.
August 2008 ushered in a new, brighter template. We got rid of the collage effect, and simply had yellow rays shooting up towards the cursive “The Fashion Bomb” font we still have today. Categories boasted fun colorful buttons of Louis Vuitton bags, Chanel heart shaped hoops, and oversized shades.
We’d clearly gotten the hang of redesigns, as we injected a bit of purple into the site in December 2008. Our pretty buttons stayed on the top as we added a bit of flourish to the sidebars. One thing I loved about that design was the “Just Because” section:
With thumbnails of everything from Judge Judy to Spongebob to Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous, the pictures were random, funny, and me. And they needed no explanation…they were there just because. I miss them so! Thankfully you can reminisce at the old blogspot, www.thefashionbomb.blogspot.com.
In February 2009, we made the courageous move from Blogger to WordPress. We adopted a new URL, www.fashionbombdaily.com, and a new ‘blogazine’ format to match.
In June 2009 we transitioned to a cityscape background that paid homage to urban fashion and even incorporated the Eiffel Tower to highlight my move to Paris.
6 months later, voila! We teamed up with the designer of Young, Black, and Fabulous and Necole Bitchie (among others) to come up with our new look. The goal was to streamline, get rid of the scrolling categories and headlines, and make the design simple, chic, and hot! We also referenced our collages of days past with sleek accessories and a dash of beauty.
We hope you like!

Rihanna rocked Jean Paul Gaultier’s spring 2010 denim overall top and jeans with lace gloves and a cute headband for a recent 106 & Park performance. The all denim look is part of a collaboration between Jean Paul Gaultier and Levi’s.
I remember seeing those 90’s throwback looks when I reviewed the Spring shows, and wondered to myself how they’d look off the runway. I think Rihanna rocked it.
Celebrity couples have been jetsetting all over Europe, stopping in Paris (woot!) and Rome wearing comfy Nike Air Jordan Sneakers. Swizz Beatz was spotted with girlfriend Alicia Keys rocking Nike Air Jordan 60+”Detroit Pistons”sneakers ($135) and Kamber was spied in Rome wearing his and hers Air Jordan Retro 3’s ($150).
Though I couldn’t call myself much of a sneakerhead, the unisex shoes seem to work for laid back strolls in far off locales. And they’re pretty affordable!
Rachel Roy came out last night for The Cinema Society Screening Of “The Young Victoria” in a floral mini dress and chic trench worn with shimmer tights and boots. To play up her colorful frock, she rocked a candy pink clutch and opted for a dark red lip and sultry smoky eyes. Rachel Roy is consistently impeccable, but something about this choice gave me pause. Perhaps it’s the sheen of the tights? Or the ‘done’ makeup?
