Happy Tuesday!
Today’s Bombshell is designer Mali Romeo aka Mali Ro from Brooklyn, NY:
She writes, “My style is definitely my own.”
“… it’s a reflection of my mood.”
“… sometimes I’m really classic…”
“…or really bold…”
“… or both!”
“… I’d like to think that I’m always dressed for the occasion.”
” I’m also a tall and slim girl, (I’m 5’9), so I always dress to compliment my height and shape.”
” If you noticed I rarely wear any jewelry.”
“… maybe a nice watch, bracelet or a necklace, if the outfit calls for it–that’s about it!”
Mali is super modest and didn’t mention her clothing line, so I’ll go ahead and do it for her! See some of her work at www.maliromeo.com.

She says, “I would describe my style as casual, glam-rock, and androgynous.”
” I love simplicity…”
“… but I also don’t mind thinking outside of the box!”
” I’m an eighteen-year-old senior in high school.”
“… and although we have to wear uniforms, I refuse to just stick to the regular ol’ collar shirt and khaki’s.”
” I am also a big fan of grunge fashion and I don’t believe in dressing straight off the mannequin.”

Hey Hey!
I’m giving you our Bombshell a leetle early, as I’m jetting off for a day of relaxation and fun. Hopefully Gaynelle from LA will keep you entertained:
The owner of LA’s Philthy Ragz Boutique was actually submitted by her daughter, who reads daily:
Her daughter says, “Even though my mother is a bit shy, I know she secretly would love to be a Bombshell of the Day!!”
“…She had so many options to post…”
“…I didn’t even know where to begin!”
“…She owns a boutique in Southern California”
“I’d be uber excited and proud if she were featured!!”
Well, there you go! I can totally see why you wanted her featured. She has flair and style, and I adore her hair.
What do you guys think of Gaynelle?

Hey Hey!
So it’s my birthday! While I plan to celebrate with a mani at Polish Bar of Brooklyn, lite shopping, and a birthday dinner, the festivities truly started earlier this week with a whirlwind trip to LA to meet and greet world champion runner and Olympic hopeful Jason Richardson.
Bevy Smith, Syreeta of Black Sports Online, and more gathered to meet the Nike Athlete, see what he is about, and support him in the pursuit of his Olympic dreams. Our first stop was to meet Jason, and observe what he could do on the track.
And at night, we attended a dinner to toast to his accomplishments.
Today’s fabulous Fashion Bombshell is Courtney from ATL:
She writes, “My style is a representation of my personality…”
“… and describes who I am.”
” My style is one-of-a-kind, simple, elegant…”
“… classy, sexy, fun…”
“… and my style makes me feel comfortable in my own skin.”
“I OWN my style!”
Ok, Courtney!! I’d say you have a flawless dress game. Focus on bringing a bit of your nighttime pizazz to your daytime looks.
What do you ladies think?

She says, “My style is definitely very risky, as a plus size woman I still wear my shirt tucked in, I wear shorts and short skirts or dresses.”
“… Fashion is not meant to be limited by the price on your clothes tag.”
” I think my style reflects my moods.”
” I wear what I like, even if its a couple season old.”
” My style is very much me…loud and out there, fun and colorful.”
” I take a lot of pride when I get dressed, and I hope others see that as well.”
Alright! I’d say you have some hits, some misses. Be careful of fit, especially with pants. What do you guys think?

Happy Monday!
As you read this, I’m flying out West for a quick trip to LA! To keep with the California theme, I thought I’d feature Valerie from San Francisco as today’s Bombshell:
The Nigerian native says, “I originally fell in love with fashion after being immersed in the modeling industry once I finished playing basketball in college. I realized that I needed to have a clear understanding of my own personal style and comprehend what influences today’s well-known and successful designers.”
“…I began reading more fashion magazines and blogs, both domestically and internationally. I’m largely influenced by the NY fashion scene and European culture.”
“…My personal style for the fall/winter is a more of a grunge, rocker chic look. I love mixing dark and neutral tones and pairing it with a vampy lip color. Fashion is an art that I have grown to love and may eventually venture from modeling into more of a designer role.“
“…I currently have a blog, www.entertainmentchic.blogspot.com, which not only delves into my love for fashion/sports, but also includes discussing trending topics, such as dating. With my goal to travel/move to Australia this year, I plan to share more of my thoughts on international fashion and how they are influenced by the US.”
Sounds interesting! I’ll check it out. I would have loved to see just a few more pix, but from what you submitted, you’re quite fly.
What do you think?

Happy Friday Bombshells!
A lot of you have written in asking about my workout routine, so at the top of the year, I’ve finally decided to divulge:
The quick and painless story is that I love going to the gym. For health and vanity reasons I think it’s important to stay in shape, even if only to minimize all the bumps and rolls one may spy under a bit of spandex:) Aside from shopping and writing, I’d put working out on my top five list of things to do in my free time. I hit the gym 3-5 times a week, and at least 2 out of those 5 days I work with a trainer:
Why I love trainers: they know what they’re doing. You’re in and out in an hour. You ensure you’re not wasting your time. And though it’s painful (and can be expensive), it’s the most sure way to achieve your goals. At any rate, here’s a quick breakdown of what I do every week:
Mondays are all about cardio. I’ll hit the stairmaster on a hill interval at level 10 for 45 minutes, or hop on the arc trainer at level 5 for the same amount of time. This ensures lots of sweat with minimal impact on the knees. Tuesday, I LOVE my spin class…! My instructor always plays the best music (from Beyonce to Rihanna to Jay-Z) and gets you pumped. Wednesday, Thursday, and sometimes Friday, I link up with Emiliano:
For 60 minutes, we do a series of drills together, including lunges, weights, push ups, and other horrible, torturous things.
On the weekend (weather permitting), I run at least 4 miles in the park, outside, bumping to Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, and an auditory potpourri of Southern Music.
Though I love to work out, I also love to EAT, so have resolved in 2012 that in addition to working out, I’d work on my diet to bring my body to where I’d like it to be. I’ve totally sworn off red meat, eat cheese rarely, stick to poultry and fish, drink mostly water (or coconut water if I want something sweet), and snack on nuts and almonds. Apparently for my body type, it’s best if I’m mostly vegetarian, so I try to eat at least a few all veggie meals, and of course stay up on fruits like apples, oranges, and bananas.
I am FAR from my fitness goals, but hopefully this year I can push it to the limit. Tell me about your workout routine, how you stay fit, and your goals for the New Year!
Smootches!
2012 continues on a stylish note with Briana from Baltimore, Marlyand:
She muses, “Fashion is an Evolving theme in my life.”
“… It builds my confidence, embraces my prettiness, and introduces my sexiness.”
“… Fashion is relevant & I am it.”
“… I love to have fun & try different styles that are unique to me.”
“The way I dress is simply a way to express myself or how I’m feeling for the day.”
Ok! Do you think Briana from Baltimore ‘is’ fashion?
