Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Charee from Ohio

Happy Day Before Thanksgiving!
The Fashion Bomb staff is signing off a bit early to enjoy the holiday. But first, check out today’s Bombshell, Charee from Ohio:

She writes, “My name is Charee and I am from Ohio (Go OSU Buckeye’s) currently living in Atlanta.”

“… I’m a new 2nd time mommy to a 4 month old baby boy and I’m a personal style blogger over at www.chareelenee.com.”

“I break all fashion rules!!”

“… My style is trendy, stylish and modern and I believe shoes are EVERYTHING!!!”

My motto is Fashion is not always about how much you spend, but how good you can make a $2.00 outfit look like a million buck$!!”

“Have a great day and an awesome Thanksgiving!!”

You, too! What a way to begin the holiday! I love your colorful looks. The mustard top and leopard pants are bomb and the purple look is perfect!

Jewelry Bomb: Manish Arora x Amrapali Spring 2013

Ready for some beautiful jewels to get you in the Holiday spirit? Look no further than designer Manish Arora’s collaboration with brand Amrapali. Chock full of Indian-inspired baubles that give a whole new meaning to the term “statement piece”, I imagine celebrities and “It” girls worldwide are already scheming on how to wear these designs on the red carpet.

From jeweled ear cuffs to simple bracelets fit for everyday wear, the offerings range from functional to absolute showstoppers. Manish Arora is known for his outrageous and very eccentric designs, but with Amrapali’s vision, he was able to present his signatures along with pared-down styles.

I can definitely see the likes of Nicki Minaj and Naomie Harris trying on this jewelry for size.

Just gorgeous no?

You will have to be in possession of a hefty set of coins to snag these pieces, but they will surely be worth it.

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Julesia from St. Vincent

Yesterday we got a tweet from @JulesiaDesigns saying, “Do you do Caribbean Bombshells or not?” Remembering Pricilla from Guadeloupe and T’wana from the British Virgin Islands, I replied, “We feature Bombshells from Everywhere!” Julesia went on to say, “Checking because I few persons like myself who e-mailed never got a [response] or were never featured.”

Well, alright! Take a look at Julesia from St. Vincent:

She says, “[I’m a] Caribbean Fashion Designer and stylist.”

” Most of what I wear [is] made and designed by me.”

“… My style is very chic , modern and vintage urban wear with a twist of edginess which tells a story about me.”

“[I love] prints and colours…”

“… being from the Caribbean it’s never a fail.”

” I have a Fashion blog about my Fashion Lifestyle. Called ” A Fashionista Name Jules” at www.pixij.blogspot.com.”

” Also on facebook at ‘PixieJ’ and Twitter @JulesiaDesigns.”

” Hope you do enjoy my style.”

Ok! I like your lime green top and high low skirt combo.

Style Diary: Baroque and Velvet Accents

Hey Y’all!
So most of my days go like this: blog like a bum from 8 am til 3ish, gym it up, then hit the town for press events. Yesterday I had a lot on my plate, including a Spring 2013 Press Preview for Mango, an H&M x Margiela pre-shopping event (I didn’t get anything), and a fundraising meeting for my alma mater, so I opted for comfort in an on trend Baroque Rose Print Scarf Neoprene Dress by Clover Canyon:

It may look familiar, as I included it in our Style Inspiration titled Baroque Flair and Ornate Embellishments. Yes, I’m frequently ‘inspired’ by most things I blog about! Though I paired the dress with Nicholas Kirkwood Metallic floral-embroidered mesh sandals in the Style Inspiration, I decided to let the dress play centerstage for my day on the town, so only wore a Via Spiga cape for warmth (last seen here) and House of Harlow velvet gold button platform booties (last seen here):

I hope you enjoyed my time with the braids. They’re coming out immediately (it’s a pain to work out with them, they’re heavy, etc.)! For one of my last forays, I opted for a braid bun, and accessorized with gold hoops and spiked bracelets from Urban Outfitters:

Then it was off to a Mango Press Preview at Factory PR:

I saw what was on tap for Spring for the brand, took some pix for Instagram, and tried out a few of their delectable accessories.

I want those mirrored sunglasses!
At any rate, there’s a quick peek into a typical day in my life:

Back to hiding behind my computer…

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Nel from DC

Today’s Bombshell is Nel from Washington, D.C.:

She writes, “My blog is Girls of Plenty (www.girlsofplenty.com).”

“.. While my blog may masquerade as a fashion blog…”

“…it is anything but.”

” It is a platform for a plus size woman to encourage others to be themselves through fashion.”

” As a married, professional woman well into my 30s (very close to 40), with a family to raise, I aim to show women that fashion is what you want it to be.”

” There are no rules that you need to adhere to…”

“… no trends that you have to follow.”

” Wear what makes you feel good on any given day.”

As an African-American, I also try to pay homage to my African ancestors by wearing something that celebrates my heritage and the sacrifices they made for my freedom.”

” All in all, my style is what it is.”

I adore your style philosophy! Not all your looks are my taste, but that’s what I love about them. You’re boldly, uniquely you, which is refreshing in this age of copycats and me-toos.

“I wear whatever is comfortable.”

“I’m a Lawyer with a huge crush on Fashion.:-)”

OK, way to represent! I love your looks, particularly you black peplum outfit. Effortless sophistication.
