I filmed a little ditty for Fashion Bomb TV (that was left on the cutting room floor!!!)
Then was off.
I tend to go for shorter hemlines, but I was kinda digging this look.
Are you?

“… but mainly I like to wear a plain t-shirt with a gold chain or bomber jacket to cool down to a sophisticated look.”
“Tell me what you think!”
“Kisses from Belgium”
I love it! There is beauty in simplicity, and you’re a perfect example.

Ready for one of my last Style Diaries?
I sure am. I much prefer to hide behind my computer screen, but it’s always fun to give you a quick glimpse into my life before I recede into the shadows;)
For Day 6, I went back to patterns, slipping on a printed Dries van Noten dress and Pierre Hardy boots.
I fell in love with the Pierre Hardy joints once I saw Naomie Harris in them. The minute they fell into affordable territory, I snapped ’em up!
It’s still very much winter, so I slipped on my standby coat. Do you think it works here?
After taking a few snaps, it was on to the next show.
Today’s Bombshell is blogger Yvonne from Sudbury, Ontario:
The native Nigerian writes, “My style is anything…”
“…that compliments my body.”
“…I’m into vintage wares..”
“… and african prints.”
” I also love shoes that stand out.”
That African printed jumpsuit is cute! See more of Yvonne’s style at Thekaleidoscopian.com.

Ola! On Day 5 of NYFW, it was all about presentations for me, including stops by Laquan Smith’s Fall 2013 collection and Alice + Olivia’s showing downtown. I decided to calm it on the prints for the day and just wear classic black and white, adding interest with a fringed Thakoon dress and a contrast collar Rag & Bone blazer (can you tell how much I love R&B?)
The outfit was pretty understated, so I slipped on a pair of statement shoes (these DSquared Raso Boots to be exact).
In between shows, I stopped at Cookshop, a fun little restaurant on the West Side, conveniently located close to a lot of off site venues.
Then I was off (expect to see this Theory Cassius coat a lot. It’s warm and sorta goes with everything!)
In the midst of Fashion Week and Grammy madness, we still have to bring you our regular features! Take a look at today’s Bombshell, Nikki from Austin, Texas:
” I’d like to say I just wear what feels right for the day…”
“… but I’m that girl that sits in the closet in the morning for hours trying to put something together.”
” After over complicating my outfit…”
“…I usually scale everything down and these effortless looks come to life.”
Casually cute, and your hair is gorgeous!

This time we went backstage to interview Tracy Reese about her Fall 2013 collection, and also asked her to offer a few words of advice to upcoming designers. For those who want to break into fashion, check it out for a few inspiring words:

The weather is NYC is simply not cooperating with fashion week, though show attendees are making the most of it, splashing color and patterns onto wintry looks. With a strong focus on outerwear and cold weather accessories, ladies and gents have managed to look rather stylish:
Check out our best picks from day 3:
It’s all about a great coat and shoes! These two young ladies looked lovely in blue colored jackets and metallic heels.
This young man simply wasn’t playing around! He pulled a turtleneck over his face for extra warmth.
These two Fashion Bomb readers punched up black looks with neon separates, studded boots, and coated jeans.
Layering is oh so essential: these ladies places skirts over pants and chunky scarves over multiple sweaters.
Plays on proportions made these black looks interesting.
This diva worked with different colors of houndstooth, yet tempered her look down with a black coat and boots.
Talk about a pair of stylish snow ready boots! This young stylist looked ready for anything in white and light brown tones.
Black on black always works.
A stud covered leather jacket uplifted a pleated white maxi skirt.
Lastly, while designer Tracy Reese called a car, industry veteran Bethann Hardison smiled for our cameras in a furry hat and loose fit jeans.
What did you think of our latest Real Style installment?
I covered up in a Helmut Lang for Intermix jacket, and offered my interpretation of reasonable footwear in a pair of Altuzarra booties (they weren’t reasonable—I went home limping a couple hours later).
