You guys weren’t too jazzed with yesterday’s Bombshell. Hopefully Niama from Brooklyn will get a warmer reception!
She says, “I’m from Brooklyn, NY originally, I stopped in D.C. for almost a decade as many Howard alumni do; however, I am currently living in London, UK finishing grad school.” “It may seem trite but if I had to describe my style the best word would certainly be eclectic.”
“You can catch me in jeans, a vintage bowtie, a fedora & oxfords just as easily as you might see me in fitted dress and heels.”
” I make it a point to visit a vintage market in whatever city I may be in whether Amsterdam, New York, LA, or here in London as I often mix vintage pieces with contemporary items.”
” Some of the clothes and jewelry I wear come from independent designers, and sometimes are one-of-a-kind pieces.”
” The bottom line for me when I’m getting dressed is: “Do I feel amazing wearing this?” If so, I wear the hell out of it!”
“… Sometimes it may be hard to put a label on my style but my look is always a reflection of me and the many different parts that have made me a whole.”
Another strong submission. I love your first and last looks the most, and need details on your printed halter dress. I’m in love!

” My motto is that if I’m going to do it, do it big. I wasn’t born to fit in, I was made to stand out, and I do.”
” My influences are Rihanna, Azealia Banks, Jeffrey Campbell, Jeremy Scott, Lady GaGa etc. I love to make statements without saying anything.”
” I’m currently working on my own clothing line so stay tuned for that. I think what I love most is that I really don’t care what people think about my outfits because its what I’m comfortable in, no one else has to wear these clothes but me.”

Happy Friday Bombers and Bombshells!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of chatting with songstress and reality starlet Tamar Braxton about all things fashion.
As you all are well aware, the mommy-to-be has been generously lauded of late, not just for her hit songs (Love & War, anyone?), but also for her maternity style.
Of course I had to ask her about her favorite brands, how she keeps it cute, and how she’s preparing for her bundle of joy.
Well, no surprises here, Tamar loves Alexander McQueen! She divulged, “ I call it Maternity McQueen. I turned it into my own maternity line. It’s the only thing that really fits, and really fits comfortably–and you’re still stylish at the same time.”
She continues, ” I like to accentuate my curves. It took me a long time to get comfortable with the new curves I had. It’s good to accentuate it, because when you try to hide it…it’s not cute.”
She said, “I love oversized camisoles. I put a shirt on top, so my stomach is not completely tight. For all the moms to be, I would say, ‘stay away from the Moomoo stuff.'”
As we know Tamar likes her heels! Is she still rocking with her Christian Louboutin pumps? She laughed, “After my 6th month, my Louboutins went out the window. I had to put them on the shelf, and I had to have a little talk with them, and say, “I love you , I still want to wear you, but my pain does not allow me to….”
She offers, “… But I’ve found comfort in wedges. And the wedges with the cork have been the most comfortable to me. I hate flats [because] I think flats make my feet grow. I already started out with fat feet and I can’t let them get too much bigger. The wedges with the cork heel have been a lifesaver.”
When you’re pregnant at the same time as other celebs, of course it’s easy for people to draw comparisons. I had to ask Tamar how she felt about Kim Kardashian’s maternity choices, and the criticism Kim has received for some of her ensembles.
She said, “I feel bad for Kim because it’s really hard to be comfortable with the weight gain, especially [if you’re] someone who works out all the time and actually cares about [your body]. [It’s not easy] when you’re trying to find out who you are [as a pregnant woman].”
“… At first, I was wearing clothes that were too small for me, and I was in straight denial. You have to have good people around you who are gonna keep it real, keep it honest with you, and be like, ‘Girl, you’re not a size 4, you’re not a 6, you’re not an 8, you’re a 10. So we gone get you some clothes that are gonna fit you.’ Now, she’s starting to look much better because she’s started to accept this new body. But, it’s really hard.”
Indeed. But back to her baby! How is she preparing? She said, “Everybody thinks that I’ve been the person who’s been buying clothes. It’s Vincent Herbert. He is so excited. The baby already has Baby Dior, Burberry, Versace, and all these things I’d never put my kid in, cuz I’m thinking Baby GAP, and he’s looking at me like I’m crazy.”
So cute!
Well, congrats to Tamar & Vince, and be sure to tune in to the 2nd season of their eponymous show, which will chronicle their time prepping for the baby, and all the fun surrounding childbirth.
What do you think of Tamar’s take on maternity style?

We’re featuring another London Bombshell today! Get into a few of Dami’s looks:
She says, “I graduated with a degree in fashion marketing, and worked as a freelance fashion stylist for over 3 years.”
” I am now working as a visual merchandiser.”
“Being in the fashion/retail world, I feel the need to make sure that my style speaks for itself.”
” I’ve been told my style can be quite “daring.”‘
“One word to describe my style? Versatile.”
” I could opt for a classy look one day…”
“… and then decide to rock a more grungy causal look the following day.”
” It all depends on my mood.”
Love it! Here for every little bit of this. You’re a Bombshell in my book!
See more of Dami’s looks on Instagram at @LeBlackUnicorn and on her blog www.trashygobs.blogspot.com.

She writes, “I would describe my style as ‘casual glam’.”
” For the day, I live in T-shirts and comfy basics like high low dresses, jeans and crop tops…”
“… as I like to keep it simple and to comfortable as I run around London or any other country I find myself in.”
” I also think how an outfit drapes on your body is more important than how much it costs so I have lots of vintage pieces and hand beaded dresses as it seems clothes were made to fit the female form better back then!”
“I work in the corporate world so for work I’m usually in a nice fitting dress and a blazer. No suits for me, they remind me of straight jackets!”
“The evening is when the ‘glam’ aspect of my style is more evident as I tend to rock outfits with more detail at that time, and I wouldn’t be caught anywhere without heels!”
” I appreciate trends, and follow them when flatter me or pique my interest but thats where it ends, I’m more interested in sticking to styles that flatter me, than getting caught up in what the fashion magazines dictate every season! “
Ok, Adele! I love it all. Thanks for providing so much variety. And your green maxi dress is divine.

Today’s Bombshell is from Queens, NY! Check out what Arielle sent in:
She types, “I love fashion, and I think there is no better compliment someone can give you more then, “I like your style!””
” I definitely gravitate towards color…”
“… though if I bring out black, it’s mostly paired with white, for the ultimate shock value.”
” I consider my style to be pretty first…”
“…with an undertone of sexy.”
” Florals, pastels, lace, all are in my wardrobe. “
“I love dresses, because they are basically an outfit, and I do love to show off my legs.”
“Keep up the bomb blog, as I look forward to checking in daily!!”
We will! Well, I like your style! Lots of cute looks, though I think a few outfits could be upgraded with a pump or simple sandal.
