Happy Thursday!
So The Fashion Bomb doesn’t have an App (yet!), but in the meantime, I’ve taken on the role as Creative Director of RNWY, an APP that seeks to put global fashion in the palm of your hand.
I’ve joined forces with the ever so brilliant Egomeli Hormeku to consolidate every photo, gif and video of every show, presentation, and collection into one chic place. With RNWY, you’ll have access to the latest streams, live replays of shows, and exclusive access to purchase looks right off the runway.
If it sounds like a serious undertaking–it is. But Hormeku’s background as the editor of Fashion Week Online (and mine as the EIC of Fashion Bomb Daily) puts us in as good of a position as any to lend our talents to the world of fashionable apps.
If you’re a designer and are interested in taking part, register here. And if you simply want to download RNWY, mark your calendars for February 2nd, 2015. RNWY will be available as a free download in the App store and Google Play.

Images submitted will be featured on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any of our social media platforms. Comments can be harsh, so bring your A game! Please be advised: once published, pictures will not be removed or taken down.
Her Italian made there-quarter sleeve dress features a bateau neckline, a decorative seam detail at the bodice and an asymmetric golden zipper at the front.
Her smooth open toe black calfskin stiletto 4″ heel sandals feature a thin buckle strap layered over wide ankle cuff.
A cute and sophisticated look, no doubt. If you’re feeling her ensemble, shop the look below:
Well, last week’s Bomb Blogger was received with mixed reviews. I was actually shocked at some of the comments but I soon realized that my take on “bomb style” may not necessarily correlate with some of our readers; however, (as you all may know) I’m always up for blogger suggestions and recommendations!
With that said, I’d like to personally thank Gem who suggested I check out this fly twosome! Gem also wrote “You should take a gander at this blog. Its two South African twins, Nyane and Mpho“. So, without further ado, let’s get into the sartorial musings of the Lebajoa twins. **FYI: If you’re wondering which one is which, Nyane is the twin with the lighter tinted hair (she also rocks the pixie look) and Mpho is the sister with the darker shade. Just had to give you guys a quick heads up!**
When I first set sight on this inseparable pair, I was shocked at the contrast in both their styles – it’s like you get the best of both worlds! Let’s start things off with Mpho! Obviously the more subtle of the sisters, this fashionista has mastered the minimal look. Her M.O. includes neutral colors, wide-brimmed hats, a bold lips and eclectic platforms. I absolutely love the way she effortlessly pulls off simple looks while presenting such a cool and refreshing vibe. I can really appreciate her style, as the designer within the duo, Mpho certainly knows what she likes and kills it everytime!
Nyane, on the other hand, prefers to spice things up a bit. From stacking on loads of jewelry to switching up her creative ‘dos, she embodies an undeniable sense of self and can literally wear anything; in addition, her tastes border more along the lines of funky and experimental. This Lebajoa twin loves in-your-face-prints, bright colors and midriff-baring crop tops. As an aspiring artist, Nyane has garnered quite the following but her style leaves room for boundless inspiration. I absolutely adore this girl’s confidence! Cute, no?
Wanna know more about this gorgeous duo? Well, head on over to their Tumblr here or visit their IG pages @nyanelebajoa and @mpholebajoa. Honestly, I don’t believe this feature did them justice – both their blog and their Instagrams are FILLED with astonishing photos – definitely check them out!
Covergirl Joan Smalls attended WSJ Magazine’s Innovator of the Year Awards last night in a cool hued ensemble from Chanel‘s Spring 2014 Haute Couture collection:
Sassy Nicholas Kirkwood lace ups provided a scintillating focal point.
Her ensemble was modeled by Lindsey Wixson with white sporty shoes.
Her sandal boots were apart of Kirkwood’s Resort 2015 collection.
Hot! She looks lean and lovely. And those shoes are the biz.
What do you think?

Happy Wednesday!
I’m currently en route to Harvard to speak on a panel on Breaking into Fashion!
This week definitely qualifies as my busiest…ever. I’m interviewing Bravo’s Fashion Queens tomorrow (have anything you’d like to ask them?), then heading to San Antonio, Texas for the Blogalicious Conference with Toyota this weekend! Yesterday, I combined quite a few events into one day, shooting interviews at Harlem Haberdashery and doing a Closet Confessions video with my homie Legendary Damon!
The videos will be up throughout the month (I’m trying to add some sparkle to Fashion Bomb TV). Until the videos are ready, please enjoy these flicks!
My first stop was Harlem Haberdashery, a custom clothier beloved by everyone from Rick Ross and Jay Z to Carmelo Anthony and Lebron James.
They got their start in the 90’s under the name 5001 flavors, and were instrumental in outfitting most of hip hop’s bold faced names (think Biggie, Diddy, Total, and Missy). Their Harlem location carries an edited selection of designer and original pieces, and also offers custom creations for the everyday person who might want to look like a star.
I chatted with owners Guy and Shay Wood, along with designers Lou Johnson and Kells Barnett.
I also learned about @TakeCareofHarlem, a movement that seeks to feed hundreds of Harlem’s homeless.
After snapping a bit of street style of friends and family of HH, including Brittny of Valencia Atelier…
…I headed to the next engagement!
The evening called for a pop by party promoter and style curator Legendary Damon @LegendaryDamon‘s crib.
His closet is absolutely amazing. Though he described his style as, “I can wear anything,” I’d say he’s one of the boldest, brightest, and best dressed gents in New York City. To wit: He had no less than 3 outfit changes during the video. I loved it!
At any rate, I can’t wait for you to see the videos. We’ll be rolling out weekly vignettes. In order to get updates, be sure to subscribe at Youtube.com/FashionBombTV or just stay tuned to this space;)
Can’t wait!
*I dug up my Givenchy skirt, Balmain OTK boots, and fur for the day.
I’m all about shopping my closet!

The latest collection from Kendall and Kylie Jenner for Pacsun is almost here. Targeted at holiday, the collection includes tees as well as dresses, flared trousers and quite a bit of boho flare. Have you been a fan of their past collections? (Teen Vogue)
The Victoria’s Secret show model line-up for next month’s London show has been released. John Galliano’s chapter with LVMH is officially over for now. As a final matter of business, Galliano lost the unfair dismissal lawsuit he brought against employers Christian Dior SA and John Galliano SA. In his defense, the designer noted that both companies were aware of the drugs he was under. The courts sided with the companies, forcing Galliano to pay one symbolic euro. (Hollywood Reporter)
Transgender model Lea T is undoubtedly most known for her role as muse, assistant, and model for Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy. But now, her modeling career has just come up on it’s next big moment: a Big Redken contract. As brand muse, Lea will be one of the first openly transgender models to get a top dollar beauty contract. The move is the latest in a series of high profile announcements for openly transgender persons. (Fashionista)
TV just got hit with two new fashion television series: “House of DVF” and “The Fund.” New York Times writer Vanessa Friedman says that there’s something to be learned from their overlap, mainly in that in today’s day and age, having a personality is just as important as talent. Friedman points to the iconic look of Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington is The September Issue as well as the humanizing shots from both DVF and The Fund as evidence. So a note to all of you hoping to make it big in this industry: don’t lose yourself! (NY Times)
