If you haven’t yet heard of Maison Kitsuné, then get familiar! Maison Kitsuné is a French fashion brand and record label that launched in 2002, artfully combining both worlds of fashion and music.
More exciting is their newest collaboration with vocalist, songwriter and visual artist Kilo Kish in a new capsule collection. Kilo Kish, born Lakisha Kimberly “Kish” Robinson, has been slowly infiltrating the music scene with her music since 2012 and has received music and fashion accolades from Rolling Stone, MTV, Vogue, and Elle to name a few.
Kilo Kish wanted to infuse her American roots with this iconic French brand and designed a collection of striped tees and accessories, including a cotton scarf, an iPhone case, and tote bag.
Kilo Kish exudes all the casual chic cool that women on both sides of the Atlantic celebrate. I’m loving the curls in the campaign for the capsule collection!
The lightweight sweaters will make for the perfect add-on during cool summer nights and everything she designed was meant to go with your favorite pair of denim jeans.
The iPhone case features a paint-inspired spotted and striped print. Before starting as a musician, Kilo Kish partially attended the Pratt Institute and completed her education at FIT, so her capsule collection certainly came from solid fashion credentials. In a show of cross-cultural unity, her custom tote featured both the French and American flag.
What do you think of Kilo Kish’s collaboration with Maison Kitsuné?
Her flawless makeup and sleek mid-length bob hairstyle were simply ravishing!
The Layered dress has a boat neck, a flowing cut, wide sleeves, and a low cut back.
Her stand out 4 1/2″ stiletto heel stompers were a Bomb Product of the day! They are crafted from contrasting panels of red and yellow patent-leather with bright-blue elaphe.
She looks amazing! I guess 40s is the new 30s huh?
She says, “ I describe my style as casual chic with a bit of edge.”
” I love bold patterns, colors, and prints.”
” I like having fun with what I wear, but doing so while keeping comfort in mind.”
” I love dressing up with heels pretty tops and skirts, but I also love throwing on some cute sneakers and a graphic tee when running around town.”
” I do not make many outfit choices by following fashion trends. I just enjoy shopping and I allow my intuition to guide me.”
” When shopping, I will gravitate towards any items that catch my eye. And since I love bold patterns and color, most often, my outfits will include items of that nature.”

” A team of Harvard scientists led by professor of dermatology Alexa Kimball analyzed data from over 1 million people (provided by 23andMe) and found that Methuselah genes, or “younger genes” — the ones responsible for characteristics like more-effective DNA repair and the skin’s ability to protect against damaging environmental factors (sunlight, etc.) — are found in one-fifth of black Americans, while only one in ten white Americans is a carrier. The presence of these genes allows some people to look ten years younger than their age, according to the paper.”
