Happy Thursday everyone!

Summer is in full swing and I plan on taking full advantage of it!

While the menswear shows are going down across the pond, our favorite starlets slipped on fashionable fits for dinner, traipsing through the airport, on the red carpet, and more.

Let’s see what they wore this week!

Selita Ebanks demonstrated the timelessness of the white button-front shirt and polka dots, sporting the former and the latter in the form of breezy trousers while dining at Craig’s Restaurant. Hot!

While traipsing through LAX, Jada Pinkett showed off her enviable figure in a mesh embroidered t-shirt, denim cutoffs, and sneakers. Even when keeping it casual, she looks flawless.

I would really love to get my hands on these new Yeezy Boosts and Kim Kardashian has been putting them to good use over the last few weeks! The mommy-to-be kept it comfy in the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport in a long trench, flesh-tone bodysuit with a low-cut neckline, and Haider Ackermann Velvet Joggers. A great travel ensemble for sure.

A mixed denim-ensemble and strappy leather flat sandals were Ashley Madekwe’s choices while out and about in LA.

Gigi Hadid was pretty in pink at the 2015 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto donning a cropped biker jacket with her last name emblazoned on the back and a matching textured crop top and high-waist slit pencil skirt combination, anchored with a pair of blush pink cutout booties. Hot!

At her Breathe In, Breathe Out CD Signing Event in NYC, Hilary Duff was draped in a metallic striped short-sleeve cropped turtleneck and short set. Cute no?

Though in the City of Angels, Jamie Chung showed her love for Paris in a stripe, graphic tee giving a nod to the stylish city, a destructed denim skirt, and black leather sandals.

Jessica Alba was simple and chic in a white Narciso Rodriguez dress while in the Big Apple. You can never go wrong with a LWD right?

Kourtney Kardashian opted for all-white while sister Khloe chose all-black while filming Keeping Up With the Kardashians in Calabasas. I loved Kourt’s off-the-shoulder top and bold clutch!

While dining at Cecconi’s Restaurant in West Hollywood, Nicole Scherzinger flaunted her lean physique in a high-neck, cap-sleeve bodycon dress and python pumps.

I’m not a huge fan of mullets or black chunky leather boots, but Rita Ora’s classic white button-front shirt and Chanel skirt made up for them both when she was spotted in NYC this week.

Closing out the week was Selena Gomez who uplifted denim cutoffs and suede booties with a metallic brocade jacket.

Sandra Vainqueur has been on my radar for a while now. She’s new to the blogosphere and, let me tell you, she’s the truth!

Her style journal, AmiraaVee, is a beautifully designed collection of some of Sandra’s most riveting ‘fits. Not only is she a beast in front of the camera but she also manages to provide little nuggets of inspiration along the way. In a quote from her bio, Sandra urges, “Never stop doing your best just because someone doesn’t give you credit for it. Whenever the feeling of quitting comes into play, think about your WHY. (why you started, what it means to you, who can you impact). Life is all about risking everything for a dream no one can see but you.”

Sandra’s style is dope. Her looks are eclectic and funky. And, she effortlessly stands apart with a sense of fashion that’s all her own. With a firm grasp on mixing prints and a knack for combining colors, this Bomb Blogger is awesomeness personified.

It seems every day, magazines are seemingly losing the sensitivity battle when it comes to race relations!
The latest glossy to cause a curfuffle is Teen Vogue, whose Beauty Editor (and Fashion Bomb Friend) Elaine Welteroth penned a piece about getting Senegalese twists done in Rwanda:

While her gorgeous mug illustrated the piece for the story online, the magazine cast model Phillipa Steele to accompany the article’s print edition. On Models.com, Steele identified as half Fijian, and also Tongan, French, English, and American.

The story went on to include other women of color who have adopted braids, locs, and the like, and highlighted Zendaya and Zoe Kravitz. Critics of the article wondered why Teen Vogue wouldn’t use at least one darker skinned woman to display the trend.

While some Twitter fans displayed their distaste, writing, “@TeenVogue A hairstyle predominantly worn by varying shades of Black ppl and you pick the lightest skinned black ppl to feature,” and “@TeenVogue Why’s your Magazine so Anti-Black?” Buzzfeed highlighted @JoJoThaJawn as one of the most adamant critics of the display. She wrote,

F*ck @TeenVogue for their bullsh*t article about Senegalese twists and only showing one black girl for example! How could you!!!!
Seriously not buying @TeenVogue again. I’m so insulted by this! You interview a White girl about African hairstyles!!
Zendaya is not the only POC who wears these hairstyles. So why is she the only POC you showed as example!?? @TeenVogue
Snuck a pic of Zoe Kravitz in there. Two light skin black women. What about Solange? Janelle Monae?? Non celebrity POC??!!

Model Phillipa Steele eventually wrote, “For the record, if anyone even cares . ? Yes im half black and half French.”

What do you think of the hubbub? I personally am always an advocate of diversity, and highlighting the various shades of brown beauty. A woman of Lupita Nyong’o or Viola Davis’s complexion would’ve been a great addition to the article. Mainstream magazines should be more mindful, especially when addressing Afrocentric topics (I mean look at all the gorgeous examples that pop up when you Google Senegalese Twists).

That said, not sure this is a reason to write off Teen Vogue. At least they didn’t act as if twists were a cool new thing without providing any historical context (which many magazines tend to do). The original story gives credit to and celebrates the origin of the hairstyle.

Bella Thorne skewed sultry at the Ted 2 New York Premiere in a Julien Macdonald Fall 2015 Embellished Mesh Dress and $1,300 Fendi Black Ava Sandals:

On the runway, her frock was paired with a black choker, black silky robe-inspired coat, black leather opera gloves, and black leather cutout pumps.

Her sandals are punctuated by triple leather adjustable ankle straps, crocodile back panels, and 4.13″ heels.

A sexier look than I’d want from a seventeen year-old, but there’s no denying the frock is hot!

Christina Milian couldn’t be missed while out and about in West Hollywood, sporting an OTT Teddy Jacket, $72 Res Denim Shorts, $570 Giuseppe Zanotti Strappy Pink Sandals, and MCM Shoulder Bag:

Her slouchy denim shorts feature shredded holes and raw cuffs for a deconstructed look and 5-pocket styling.

Her pink leather strappy sandals showcase an open toe silhouette, ankle straps with side buckle fastenings, brand embossed insoles, and 4.7″ high stiletto heels.

Quite a bit to digest, but the look is cute! Not too keen on this particular jacket, but I think varsity jackets can give a fun, athletic-inspired flair to almost any ensemble.

She showed off the back of her dress, and threw up the deuces.

Her dress is lime green and features a geometric print, a cutaway neckline, a mock neck, arching side slits, and a bandage design at the back.
