The first week of August is already done— this Summer is flying by!
Celebs flocked to Crop Over in Barbados, jetsetted through the world’s biggest airports, glammed it up at the 2015 Summer TCA Tour, and more.
Let’s see what they wore!
Rihanna had all eyes on her in feathers and embellishment at Crop Over. Hot!
You know Rih’s BFF Melyssa Ford was also in attendance in a similar costume in shades of orange and yellow.
Supermodel Jourdan Dunn showed off her lithe physique in a look that was pared-down, but didn’t skimp on skin. She looks like she’s having the time of her life!
Pregnancy isn’t slowing Kim Kardashian down one bit! She was spied at LAX in a cropped leather jacket, bralette, and high-waist pencil skirt.
Cara Santana showed off her toned gams in LA in a pair of denim cutoffs, a short-sleeve black t-shirt, and a pair of black mules. A great Summer look!
While at the David Jones Spring/Summer 2015 Fashion Launch in Sydney, Gigi Hadid looked every bit the model in a long-sleeve embellished Marciano dress with a plunging neckline.
Jessica Gomes was also at the event, giving her black and white pleated dress with a thigh-high slit a pop of color with red t-strap pumps. Isn’t she gorgeous?
Bangs, drop earrings, and black strappy sandals gave a bit of flair to Halle Berry’s LBD as she was grabbing a bite to eat at West Hollywood hotspot, Craig’s Restaurant.
It was all about stripes for Jamie Chung in Sherman Oaks, where she sported a short-sleeve top, trousers, and a Henri Bendel Jetsetter Backpack while walking her dog. The perfect example of why I live for her style.
Kourtney Kardashian kept it cute and casual with son Mason in a graphic t-shirt, cutoffs, and suede boots.
Little sister Kylie was spotted in Calabasas in all-gray.
A sheer stripe crop sweater, boyfriend jeans, and simple slide sandals were Leona Lewis’s choices while in NYC.
Priyanka Chopra was pretty in pink at the Quantico Panel during the 2015 Summer TCA Tour in a Victoria Beckham dress in the hue and a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps. Hot!
An appearance on Good Morning America was the perfect venue for Salma Hayek’s modern take on florals, anchored with a pair of Gucci sandals.
One thing you can always count on from Rihanna every summer: a trip to Barbados and sick swimwear.
She grabbed a drink for a day in the sun in a Karijini Deep V Orange Reversible One Piece by Gypsea Swimwear:
See it in motion here:
Her swimsuit features orange and yellow tones and a slashed front.
Rih’s swimsuit isn’t available as yet, but you can peruse other styles by Gysea here. Gotta admit, there’s some cute stuff!
What do you think of her piece?
The industry has been patiently awaiting the first glimpses into Beyoncé’s sportswear collaboration with Topshop! And though images haven’t surfaced, the line has hired a Communications Director: Amie Witton-Wallace.
Witton-Wallace has been in the industry for two decades, acting as Alexander McQueen’s PR person in the mid-90’s and serving as a Luxury Partnerships Consultant over the last three years with Roksanda as one of her clients. She even wore McQueen on her wedding day: a fashion girl’s dream!

Beyonce’s Topshop line is set to debut in Spring 2016, and with Witton-Wallace at the Communications helm, we can guarantee the launch will be massive. We have a lot to look forward to here including clothing and pieces geared toward our favorite sports, so stay tuned!
What do you think? Are you excited for Beyoncé’s Topshop collaboration?
So last night, I met J. Cole at a Bally event (post coming soon).
The young lyricist spits conscious content that crosses over age and color lines. Served Fresh’s Last of the Mohican’s t-shirt shines a light on him, and on his contemporary Kendrick Lamar.
On the site, they say, “In an era where thought provoking lyrical content across ALL genre’s of music comes few and far between, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole have become the socially conscious voices of not only hip hop culture but our generation. This piece titled, ‘Last of the Mohicans’ pays homage to their extroadinary artistic expression.”
The $37.50 tee features the brand’s NEW Barcode logo design and reinforced double-stitched collar construction!
If you love Cole and Kendrick, purchase here.
Would you wear it?
Her stretch cady dress features a plunging neckline, sleeveless silhouette, racerback, drop-waist seam, a straight skirt with a thigh-high front slit, and a straight hem.
Vanity Fair’s 2015 International Best Dressed List is out and I’m happy to report that a number of the stylish men and women we’ve featured here on FBD have landed a spot! From our favorite ballerina to one of the world’s most fashionable bad gyals, take a look at who got it right in the style department this year.
WOMEN
Misty Copeland
The principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre is a force both on stage and on the red carpet. She wowed this year in Hervé Léger and might just land a spot on our list of Ones to Watch in 2016.
Amal Clooney
All eyes have been on Mrs. Clooney this year and she has not disappointed us one bit, clad in pieces from Stella McCartney, Giambattista Valli, Tome, Maison Martin Margiela and more. She’s serving up beauty and brains which always deserves an applause.
Rihanna
The Bajan songstress continued her fashionable reign and we love her for her effortless, high-fashion looks, whether on Instagram or the red carpet. Giorgio Armani, Dior, Discount Universe, and Jeremy Scott have all been in her arsenal this year and we can’t wait to see which collaborations the superstar has up and on her sleeve for the remainder of 2016.
Mellody Hobson
Hobson is an inspiration both on and off the red carpet, as the president of Ariel Investments and the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dreamworks Animation. This year, she dominated in Valentino, though Peter Pilotto and Naeem Khan are also on her list of favorite designers.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw
We named the British actress as one of our six fashionistas to look out for this year and it seems we were right! She’s donned Prada, Narciso Rodriguez, and Louis Vuitton this year and we cannot wait to see which high-fashion designer she tries on next.
Fan Bingbing
Fan Bingbing has long been one of my personal favorites and this year the industry took notice. She wears couture like we wear boyfriend jeans with Ralph & Russo, Christopher Bu, and Stephane Rolland among the brands she slipped into in 2015.
FKA Twigs
The British songstress and songwriter is a risk taker and champion for London-based brands including McQueen and Christopher Kane.
Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned of Qatar
The Sheikha is literally revered worldwide because of her role as a philanthropist, as well as for her fashion choices which include wares by Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior, and more.
MEN
Iké Udé
This was my first time hearing of the artist, but a quick Google search made it clear that he is a fashion powerhouse. Bold prints, expert tailoring, and a flair for vintage mark his unforgettable style and he owns almost 400 pairs of shoes. I’d definitely love a peek into his closet one day.
Russell Wilson
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback is new to the fashion game, but has been causing some buzz for sure. This might be in large part to his relationship with songstress and style maven Ciara, but we’ll have to see what else Wilson serves up on the red carpet this year.
Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School
The design duo are known for their artful and cool spin on black and white and had a pretty big year, announcing their collaboration with the Jordan brand as well as stepping into the creative helm at DKNY.
