Emily Ratajkowski took to the photocall of her new film, We Are Friends in NYC in the same Solace London Wrap Over Top Wide Leg Culotte Jumpsuit Zendaya Coleman originally wore just a couple of weeks ago:
Emily paired the design with loose waves and simple ankle-strap sandals. Zendaya also chose ankle-strap sandals, pulling up her hair in a sleek topknot.
The strapless one-piece features seamed detailing, cutout accents, a wraparound back, and culotte trousers.
Celebs have a new fashion fixation: Balmain’s Gabardine Mini Dress!
Eniko Parrish was the first to wear the piece in white for the Get Hard Premiere in LA.
Kim Kardashian then gave fever in the black version of the dress, cinched to the hilt.
Marlo Hampton rocked the frock in pink, uplifting it with Balmain rope sandals.
The dress is cut for a close fit and features padded shoulders, a wrap-effect front, and faux flap pockets.
Getting one of your own will require a significant splurge! It retails for $4,525, though Marlo’s pink option is currently on sale for $1,478 on The OutNet and Kim’s black version is on sale for $2,130 at Balmain.com.
You can get a similar look for less with this $70 Crepe Front Tailored Bodycon Dress from Missguided (just swap in some gold buttons):
I was hoping the next news involving Ja Rule would be that he and J.Lo were releasing a late Summer anthem, but alas, that isn’t true! What is up next for the rapper is a collaboration with famed accessories designer Steve Madden.
News of the collection started circulating back in February when the line was debuted in Las Vegas. Now, the assortment is up for grabs in select stores and on the brand’s website.
The offerings include four sneaker silhouettes in an array of textures and colors. Some clearly give a nod to Nike, Balenciaga, and others, but I must admit: the designs are actually pretty good looking!
Of working with the Grammy-nominated artist, Steve Madden said: “He came to the table with all of these ideas. He’s an awesome guy. We click. It’s been fun to collaborate with artists. I enjoy it. I enjoy the creative spark.”
Ranging from $145 – $195, the collection is teetering in the middle of the affordability scale—though definitely aligned with Madden’s price points.
The premiere of Empire’s second season is a little more than a month away and I’m excited! The drama, the music, the fashion— let’s focus on that last bit for a second shall we? Hakeem and Cookie Lyon are my personal favorites when it comes to style on the show and it seems the fashion industry is also taking notice. The hit TV show is partnering with luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue on a number of curated collections that reflect the sartorial choices of Empire’s main characters.
Of the partnership, the President of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, Jeffrey Godsick said, “The influence Empire has had on so many aspects of popular culture proves it has the ingredients to become a stand-alone fashion brand.” The collaboration has already enlisted some fashion heavy hitters including Fashion Bomb favorite Cushnie et Ochs, Alexis Bittar, Jimmy Choo, MCM, and many more.
And that isn’t all! There will also be Empire-themed windows from September 10th to October 7th at Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship stores in New York City and Beverly Hills. We’re sure there will be lots of bling, metallics, bold hues, and animal prints in store.
Empire’s second season premieres on FOX on September 23rd, so get your DVRs ready. And stay tuned for more shopping info for these fabulous collections!
What do you think? Would you wear Cookie Lyons-inspired looks for Fall?

The show’s cast gathered last night to tape at Kenya Moore’s HairCare lounge, plus a few new cast members: Marlo Hampton and Sheree Whitfield (they’re back!), actress Kim Fields, and transgender model Amiyah Scott. For the scene, Porsha Williams wore a $430 Ronny Kobo Ribbed Cut Out Megan Dress:
The dress has cut out details on the side and a backless design.

Today’s Bombshell, Dami from Maryland, wrote a bit of an essay to accompany her submission!
Settle in to enjoy her style treatise.
The 2nd time Bombshell writes, “After being featured as a Bombshell about a year ago, I thought it would be really cool to submit a post for Bombshell of the Day.”
” I wanted to share my style story, maybe others could relate. Or maybe someone would think I look crazy but see the confidence and be influenced to be fearless and take some risks with their style.”
“Needless to say, that wasn’t the exact outcome; I wasn’t bothered by the comments about my looks because as I described in my feature, I wasn’t born in the US and I don’t have a conventional type of beauty at all.”
” Most of my life has been comprised of being made fun of, you literally learn to brush it all off once you find that love in yourself and all your quirks.”
“What I was upset about, and frankly still bothered by, was when people said things such as “you need to look less scattered and disorganized”, “these looks would be saved by a sleek heel” “step out of the ‘90s” etc etc.”
” The reason I was bothered was because, since when did fashion have all of these rules!? Since when did fashion and your personal style have so many boundaries, demands, and directions? This is something I have never understood, why does your self-expression have to be restricted?”
“How can you define style as organization? What fun is there in always being in heels because apparently “The Rules of Style” says your look’s not complete without it? In always looking like you have it all together? In your hair only being pulled back or in nice neat curls?”
” In only wearing muted tones and nude lipsticks because someone tells you that’s all that “looks right” on you? What fun is there in listening to others to dictate how you dress? How you feel about yourself? How to live your damn life?”
” Life is already controlled by rules and standards, dressing shouldn’t be a chore as well.
“You know how we women say we don’t dress for men? Well I don’t dress for your approval and you shouldn’t dress for mine.”
“If everyone from the DMV claims my story, that’s fantastic but it doesn’t change anything at all.”
” As I grow, of course my style will consequently evolve. I’ll more than likely look at an old outfit I’d thought was a hit and think it was a total, heart-wrenching miss. And there’s nothing wrong with that! But I won’t be restricted by imaginary rules based on the perspective of another.”
“***And quick tidbit, it’s also really silly to make assumptions off of people’s lives simply based on how they appear. I actually do not attend Howard U, coincidentally I actually go to a PWI, so you can see how far off you were from that one.”
” But everyone’s a critic right? J And someone’s probably going to say I’m really hurt or something just to discredit everything lol and that’s fine as well.(Sorry if this was eternal! Had to get that off my chest).”
Vent, girl! Well, I like your style. You make flats fashionable, which can be a feat. But you work it!
