@Shakeerah2.0 hit us on in Instagram, and asked, “Hi, Would you happen to know the details for this lovely dress worn by Lala?”
Yep! Lala was styled by Daniel Hawkins in a lace overlay dress by Lumier by Bariano. I wasn’t able to find her exact dress, though this $180 frock by the brand has a similar color and design, plus cap sleeves.

Though a litany of looks cascaded down the carpet for last night’s 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, only a select few stood out to Fashion Bomb Editors.
While most stars looked lovely, many missed the mark due to too little fabric, poor accessory pairings, and redundancy (i.e. haven’t we seen this before?).
Here are five looks that made it to the top of our chic list, in no particular order:
1. Rita Ora in custom Vera Wang
Rita Ora tends to do the most in the best way for the MTV Video Music Awards! Feathers and high slits are her thing, as witnessed by the leg baring Donna Karan number she wore in 2014, and the voluminous Alexandre Vauthier feathered frock she rocked in 2013.
Her custom Vera Wang gown married a few of her favorite things, and while her gown seemed more Met Gala appropriate than VMAs, few can deny the drama of her ensemble. She turned heads in the best way and brought high fashion to the event, which is why she found a spot on our best dressed list.
Kourtney Kardashian supported brother in law Kanye West at the annual show in a strawberry red jumpsuit by Balmain. Her look triumphed because of its simplicity. The color? Gorgeous. Tailoring? Impeccable! And her subtle makeup and slick locks added just the right amount of chic.
While most on the red carpet did the absolute most with sheer panels, glitter, and sparkles, Kourt skewed streamlined and looked ever so graceful doing so. A breakup has never looked better.
Ciara wholeheartedly embraced this season’s Fringe trend in a Fall 2015 look by Alexandre Vauthier. She accessorized with feathery sandals while a blunt cut highlighted her gorgeous face.
Her look was artful, adventurous and avant garde, and showed off her frame without letting it all hang out.
Nicki Minaj gave full on glam in a custom gold dress by La Bourjoisie. The metallic sheen looked gorgeous against her skin, and the frock fit her every curve. She was feeling herself…
…with good reason! A blunt bang, straight hair, and nude makeup allowed her gown to shine.
There you have it!
Who had your favorite look from the night?
Betsey Johnson always has one of the most spirited collections during NYFW. From her love for pink, bold patterns, and signature cartwheel and split at the end of each collection, we’re always in for a treat! For Spring 2016, the iconic designer is taking a cue from Benjamin Button with an assortment titled, The Curious Case of Betsey Button. Take a look at a sketch below:
Betsey Johnson is celebrating 50 years in the business with this collection: no small feat for any designer. She’s guaranteeing the wares on display will be a “big bang”. We’re predicting bold hues, voluminous silhouettes, outrageously fun hair and makeup, and perhaps a huge celeb sighting or two.
It’s a pretty fitting title considering Betsey’s ageless and youthful spirit!

Hey all! We all live for stunning red carpet moments of our favorite celebs. But at the MTV Video Music Awards, the real show happens when a few guards are let down and celebs let loose. Just ask Nicki. From moments inside the arena to some after party pics, we’ve got the rundown on who wore what for the ‘Gram. Let’s take a look!
Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift came together for the opening performance despite past Twitter disagreements. The duo absolutely slayed in ornate red looks, Taylor’s designed by Yousef Aljasmi. Hot!
Taylor and about one-tenth of her Bad Blood Squad posed for funny pics on the SMPTE color bar carpet, each of them just as beautiful as the other. Can we get into Hailee’s Jennifer Fisher choker and Serayah’s fringe Herve Leger? Hot! Miley Cyrus gave a ton of looks as last night’s host, and this embellished custom Prada may have very well been her tamest. Hmm…neither here nor there for this one, but I love the way it sparkles.
Fifth Harmony came through and looked ravashing in bedecked minidresses. I love when members of a group don’t wear the same thing, but they still look cohesive.
Designer and creative director for Moschino, Jeremy Scott sidled up next to Tinashe for a few pics before the show. A lot of people had mixed reviews about Jeremy Scott’s look, but given the occasion, and carpet, I absolutely loved his look! It’s fun, attention grabbing, and despite the MANY colors, it’s well-tailored. Tinashe could’ve kicked things up a notch with her dress choice, but the patent leather boots are killer.
Rita Ora presented an award at last night’s affair. Fringe is definitely at the forefront of this season’s trends as Rita followed suit. The singer dazzled in an Alexandre Vauthier number that left just enough to the imagination. Thigh high slit and some fringe were on the menu, and it’s pretty safe to say that Rita ATE! Hot!
Iggy Azalea and Demi Lovato found perfect ussie lighting before hitting up an after party. So pretty! And I’m here for Iggy’s makeup…very soft and subtle.
Ariana Grande kept things pretty casual in an oversized Moschino t-shirt and suede thigh high boots. Cute look for Ariana, but a little sparkle never hurt anyone.
And last, but not least, is Kyle Jenner, who chose a black Balmain bandage number for some post award show celebrations. A bit risqué in my opinion, but the fit is perfect.
That’s it for this week! Who would you have partied with?
