Betsey Johnson always has one of the most spirited collections during NYFW. From her love for pink, bold patterns, and signature cartwheel and split at the end of each collection, we’re always in for a treat! For Spring 2016, the iconic designer is taking a cue from Benjamin Button with an assortment titled, The Curious Case of Betsey Button. Take a look at a sketch below:
Betsey Johnson is celebrating 50 years in the business with this collection: no small feat for any designer. She’s guaranteeing the wares on display will be a “big bang”. We’re predicting bold hues, voluminous silhouettes, outrageously fun hair and makeup, and perhaps a huge celeb sighting or two.
It’s a pretty fitting title considering Betsey’s ageless and youthful spirit!
Are you excited for Betsey Johnson’s Spring collection?
Hey all! We all live for stunning red carpet moments of our favorite celebs. But at the MTV Video Music Awards, the real show happens when a few guards are let down and celebs let loose. Just ask Nicki. From moments inside the arena to some after party pics, we’ve got the rundown on who wore what for the ‘Gram. Let’s take a look!
Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift came together for the opening performance despite past Twitter disagreements. The duo absolutely slayed in ornate red looks, Taylor’s designed by Yousef Aljasmi. Hot!
Taylor and about one-tenth of her Bad Blood Squad posed for funny pics on the SMPTE color bar carpet, each of them just as beautiful as the other. Can we get into Hailee’s Jennifer Fisher choker and Serayah’s fringe Herve Leger? Hot! Miley Cyrus gave a ton of looks as last night’s host, and this embellished custom Prada may have very well been her tamest. Hmm…neither here nor there for this one, but I love the way it sparkles.
Fifth Harmony came through and looked ravashing in bedecked minidresses. I love when members of a group don’t wear the same thing, but they still look cohesive.
Designer and creative director for Moschino, Jeremy Scott sidled up next to Tinashe for a few pics before the show. A lot of people had mixed reviews about Jeremy Scott’s look, but given the occasion, and carpet, I absolutely loved his look! It’s fun, attention grabbing, and despite the MANY colors, it’s well-tailored. Tinashe could’ve kicked things up a notch with her dress choice, but the patent leather boots are killer.
Rita Ora presented an award at last night’s affair. Fringe is definitely at the forefront of this season’s trends as Rita followed suit. The singer dazzled in an Alexandre Vauthier number that left just enough to the imagination. Thigh high slit and some fringe were on the menu, and it’s pretty safe to say that Rita ATE! Hot!
Iggy Azalea and Demi Lovato found perfect ussie lighting before hitting up an after party. So pretty! And I’m here for Iggy’s makeup…very soft and subtle.
Ariana Grande kept things pretty casual in an oversized Moschino t-shirt and suede thigh high boots. Cute look for Ariana, but a little sparkle never hurt anyone.
And last, but not least, is Kyle Jenner, who chose a black Balmain bandage number for some post award show celebrations. A bit risqué in my opinion, but the fit is perfect.
That’s it for this week! Who would you have partied with?
After the show is the after party!
There were a slew of fun fetes after the VMA festivities.
Take a look at a few highlights:
Iggy Azalea and Demi Lovato grabbed a pic together at the Jeremy Scott and adidas Originals party at Union Station. Demi kept on the same Nicolas Jebran dress she wore to the Awards show, while Iggy slipped on a double slit skirt and a strappy bra top.
Theophilus London threw up the deuces while Virgil Abloh looked solemn while sporting a t-shirt declaring it ‘The End.’
Tinashe kept it cute in houndstooth and smized next to model Shaun Ross.
ASAP Rocky was feeling the soundtrack. His skin is gorgeous!
Quincy Brown is absolutely adorable.
And lastly, Rita Ora posed with Jeremy Scott in a comfy Adidas outfit.
Across town…
Kylie Jenner asked for silence next to bestie Justine Skye at the Republic Records after party at Ysabel. She sat pretty in a $1,250 Balmain jersey and viscose dress.
Ariana Grande gave a bit of attitude in a Moschino t-shirt dress and thigh high boots.
Lastly, Dania Ramirez hit the scene in a multi patterned Dora Abodi mini frock and Le Silla sandals.
That’s all for now, folks!
Who had your favorite after party look?

We might not be able to hum one of her songs, but Rita Ora brings the fashion and style when it counts!
She presented an award with Emily Ratajkowski (who donned Altuzarra) last night at the MTV Awards in a fringed white dress by Alexandre Vauthier.
She slicked back her platinum hair and went for nude makeup.
The frock was modeled with strappy sandals, which Rita swapped out for metallic heels.
Hot! In case you need any more confirmation: fringe is in for Fall.
What do you think?
*More into Emily’s look? She’s wearing a Altuzarra’s Fall 2015 ‘Andy’ Top and ‘Faulk’ Skirt in Black Tibetan Wave Embroidery:
Garcelle accessorized with lace up pumps while J. Lo stuck to the runway styling with thigh high boots.
See the frock on Zoe’s Fall 2015 runway below:
This dress is actually advertised as a shirt on some websites because it’s so short! Because it’s so mini, I think the boots work best. J. Lo takes this one!

The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards are happening now! With Miley Cyrus hosting the show and Nicki Minaj opening, we’re definitely in for a wild ride tonight!
The celebs are storming the event naturally. Let’s see what they wore!
Before accepting his Video Vanguard award, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian posed for the cameras. He looked comfy in camuel-hued separates and his own Yeezy kicks, while she covered her baby bump in Balmain.
Before opening the show, Nicki Minaj was gilded in a gold embellished Labourjoisie gown. Hot!
Ciara wore a new bob to go with her showstopping Alexandre Vauthier look. One of her sexiest to date and I was here for every inch of it.
It was all about denim for Pharrell and wife Helen Lasichanh. I would’ve loved a bit more glamour here, but there’s no doubt they both have great style.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are always one of the best dressed couples! Her sheer fringe and embellished Marchesa gown was pretty spectacular.
FKA Twigs skewed sultry in a black sheer Atelier Versace design. I love her style!
Rita Ora definitely brought the drama in a feathered Vera Wang gown. Applause-worthy.
Empire’s Serayah served fringe in a white sheer Hervé Léger dress and cage booties.
Amber Rose chose a colorful graphic catsuit created by Iris Barbee Bonner and Brittany Deshields with words like “stripper” and “golddigger” embroidered onto it. Blac Chyna wore a long-sleeve gown with the same pattern. Not very subtle, but I understood their message—I can dig it!
Taylor Swift took a risk in an Ashish sequin houndstooth long-sleeve crop top, joggers, and Christian Louboutin ‘Pumpstagram’ heels. She’s never looked better!
Selena Gomez kept it simple and chic in a black-long sleeve Calvin Klein gown and Aquazzura platform snadals. Very Morticia Addams, so of course, I loved it.
Demi Lovato was pretty in pink in a long-sleeve form-fitting Nicolas Jebran number in a blush hue. Gorgeous!
Miguel repped for the fellas in a printed blazer, white silk shirt, destructed denim, and black pointed-toe shoes.
Jussie Smollett went bold in an expertly-tailored printed suit. I can’t wait for Empire to return in just a few weeks!
Big Sean picked up his first VMA in a denim jacket, white t-shirt, olive denim, and black leather boots. A bit casual for the event, but I did like this look.
Mom-ager Kris Jenner went glam in a black crisscross neckline gown. She rarely disappoints! This was definitely one of her best looks.
Kylie Jenner wore one of the Kardashians’ favorite brands in a long-sleeve crochet mini dress from Balmain. The hair left a bit to be desired, but the dress was hot!
Kourtney Kardashian also wore a piece from the iconic French fashion house. Her Balmain halter jumpsuit was chic no?
Kat Graham donned a printed bustier dress for the occasion. She’s always daring, so I wasn’t surprised with her look, but I wasn’t too keen on the dress.
Hailee Steinfeld had one of my favorite looks of the night in a white Stella McCartney caped jumpsuit and Jennifer Fisher gold choker. Hot!
Gigi Hadid showed off her mile-long stems in a tangerine Emilia Wickstead dress. She went a bit far with the spray tan, but I liked the look overall.
It’s pretty hard to pull off a leather jacket and pants, as well as chocolate brown, so I’m on the fence about Nick Jonas’s fit…there’s no denying that he’s a cutie though!
Cara Delevingne loves Saint Laurent, so she slipped on a star print dress from the iconic French fashion house.
Lily Aldridge looked every bit the model in an Alexandre Vauthier gown with a plunging neckline.
I’m normally a fan of all of Kelly Osbourne’s ensembles, but her pinstripe jumpsuit missed the mark in the fit department.
A floral and jersey-inspired printed crop top and floor-grazing skirt set with a gold statement belt were Jeannie Mai’s choices. This is definitely the night to go bold, but there were one too many focal points here.
Good Morning America correspondent Rachel Smith was impossible to miss in a long-sleeve yellow embellished number. Pretty!
The host of the night left little to the imagination in a custom Versace look. What else would you expect from Miley?
Maria Menounos wore an artful ruffled navy dress for the awards show.
Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex have reunited to form duo Dumblonde! They both wore hot pink and black Nicolas Jebran designs. Cute!
Justin Bieber tried out a new edgy haircut. Still not sold on it, but he’s handsome nonetheless!
Britney Spears followed Nicki’s lead in a gold and silver sheer inset Labourjoisie mini dress. Her body is on point!
Vic Mensa certainly turned a few heads in a Free Assata t-shirt, logo embroidered denim, and platform lace-up sneakers.
Actress Arden Cho shimmered and sparkled in a black embellished Macduggal crop top and long skirt. Pretty!
Tinashe stuck to the classic black and white palette in a houndstooth mini dress and black patent thigh-high boots.
Who had your favorite look of the evening? Stay tuned as we update with all of the night’s ensembles!
Her airy babydoll dress was modeled with swirled, multicolored boots.
Her sandals are expertly crafted from fuchsia and coral-suede and feature a peep-toe, a flatteringly low vamp, and wraparound ankle ties with playful, tasselled ends.
I love the sandals, but am on the fence with this dress!
