I’d recommend wearing as much protective sun gear as possible! I would’ve brought a hat had I known. But for the day, I shielded my eyes in my Dior So Real silver shades.
I later caught up with the guys from Street Etiquette, who are doing some pretty amazing things with the Open as well.
Take a look at a few shots they did for an editorial for the US Open titled, ‘Sibling Rivalry.’
They’re so talented, don’t you agree? You can see the rest of their shots @StreetEtiquette.
At any rate, it was a fun day!

Janelle Monae, Jidenna, and more popped by 2Chainz’s mixtape release party last night in Atlanta. For the night, Janelle slipped on a black and white geometric boydcon and $1,178 Aquazzura Queen sandals:
Red lips and a hat completed her look.
Her sandals are fashioned out of multicolored leather, boasting red and silver tones and shiny disc embellishments.
I own these sandals, but haven’t figured out a way to wear ’em. Ms. Monae is giving me a few ideas!
Get her heels at FarFetch.com.
Thoughts on her look?
*Jidenna was in the building, looking very dapper.

No details on what products her beauty collection would include or a release date, but it certainly sounds extra exciting. Given her successful partnership with MAC, it looks like Ms. Fenty is ready to step out on her own. (Refinery29)

Too Street for Bond?! Right, that is the phrase that had Idris Elba fans everywhere outraged on social media this week. Anthony Horowitz, the writer behind the new James Bond novel, said that Idris Elba was “probably a bit too street for Bond,” a statement Twitter fans took to mean “too black.” Horowitz has since apologized for his comments.
