It’s that time of year again! September is undoubtedly the highlight of the fashion season as the who’s who of fashion hit the scene to take in all that is Spring/Summer 2016. For a few New York Fashion Week inspired looks, tap into today’s style inspirations.

Opt for editor chic realness in a wrap sleeveless blazer and cropped pleated pants.

Add details to the look with a pair of fringed sandals, a leopard print tote, burgundy wide-brim hat, and a pearl embellished choker.

Incorporate jewel tones to a neutral palette for a flash of color.

A sleek peep toe bootie, fringed suede satchel, and a chunky gold ring highlight this cropped-maxi combo.

Work a few layers in a shawl collar sleeveless waistcoat, a high neck jersey top, and cropped leather straight-leg pants.

Punch things up with a suede clutch, lace-up heels in a vibrant hue, and tortoiseshell oversized shades.

Add a feminine spin to a fringe pencil skirt with a silk crepe pussy bow blouse.

Embellished leather pumps, a black Hermés cuff, and silver aviator shades give the look an edgy feel.

Happy day before Fashion Week!
Yesterday, I was honored to join fashion icon Iman for her talk at the 92nd Street Y with Fern Mallis!
The Somali model was discovered by Peter Beard while a political science student at the University of Nairobi in Kenya. She moved to New York with little knowledge of the fashion industry, but became a muse to Yves Saint Laurent, and walked the runways of Versace, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, and more (read about her story in Vintage Visions). In addition to her beauty, she’s brilliant (she speaks five languages), and a serious business woman: her makeup line, Iman Cosmetics, is a $25 million beauty empire, and her collection on HSN is its 2nd best seller! She’s the Bomb!

For the night, she offset a droolworthy plum ensemble with a bright red Balmain gold button blazer. I was so in love with the blazer, that she let me try it on!

How did it look?

For the night, I wore a Balenciaga t-shirt, Michael Kors sequined joggers, and Prada sandals.

So, today’s Bomb Blogger is no stranger to Fashion Bomb Daily.

Back in 2013, Tiffany Battle of The Werk Place snatched the title as our Fashion Bombshell of the Year! I’ve been a loyal follower of  her blog for quite some time and it seems that this fashionista is constantly evolving.

In my opinion, this Bomb Blogger possesses the three F’s: she’s fun, she’s fearless and she’s flyyy! Tiffany’s personal style is like no other. She uplifts some pretty complex pieces and styles them in the most creative ways. (Never have I seen anyone rock a multi-colored faux fur vest like this chick!)

And, Tiffany definitely knows the importance of piling on the layers! Her unique looks always combine an immense amount of accessories, mixed prints and quirky details. I only wish that I could pull off half the ‘fits she rocks!
