Ciara rocked all black for a night at Libertine Club in London!
She’s a Topshop ambassador, so naturally wore a black dress by the British Brand, topped off by Christian Louboutin Thigh High Boots:
Are you feeling her blunt bangs?
Her exact dress isn’t available, but these Topshop options come close:
Kerry Washington is heavy on the promo trail today! She hit up Good Morning America this am in a red dress from Giambattista Valli’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection:
She later changed in a black floral dress from their Resort 2016 collection, along with Christian Louboutin Marguerite black satin and mesh point-toe pumps.
Neither of her looks were modeled in the brand’s presentations, so we’ll just have to ogle her awesomeness!
So Empire Season 2 sizzled back on our collective TV screens last night! Did you watch?
The show is back in fly style, with loads of cameos (I saw Andre Leon Tally, Chris Rock, Al Sharpton, Swizz Beatz, and more), runway fashion, and dope hair!
I hosted a fun watch party at my crib, sponsored by Carol’s Daughter:
During the show, I was living for Cookie’s Gucci and Moschino pieces, topped off by a slick bun with every strand in place (achievable with Carol’s Daughter Monoi Flexible Hold Hairspray):
Boo Boo Kitty has some moves on her, doesn’t she? That scene was certainly a surprise!
Lastly, Porsha’s updos can stay popping with a boost of volume from new Carol’s Daughter Monoi Conditioning Dry Shampoo.
Of course, as you know, all the products are the bomb!
At any rate, last night was fun. I’m still recovering.
Did you watch Empire last night? Are you excited for the season?
*A few people on IG were talking about the cords on my wall. I’m honestly clueless. Any thoughts on a solution?
**I wore a Kanye for Prez tee (just for fun!) and leather pants to my party. Stay tuned to TheBombLife.com for outfit deets.

Beyonce recently unleashed a slew of pictures from her vacation in Italy! Though we covered a load of her looks already, there are several more.
It seems Mrs. Carter went on a shopping spree at Zimmermann for most of her leisurely ensembles.
Take a look:
Her wide-rib jersey turtleneck dress is made in Kenya. It features leather-covered buttons that accent its vented cuffs, long sleeves, and contrast banding at its double-layered turtleneck.
I think black booties would have been more effective here, but the dress is autumnal perfection.
Selena’s dress is sold-out, but you can get other frocks from the brand here.
Scandal comes on tonight! Who’s tuning in?
Kerry Washington popped by Jimmy Kimmel to promote the show in a Black Calfskin and Silk Slip Dress from Balenciaga’s Resort 2016 collection:
Her exact dress wasn’t modeled, but you can see a top with a similar silhouette below:
Hmm…nothing to write home about, but that lip is gorge!
Her tan shearling coat hails from the Pre-Fall 2015 collection. It features concealed snap front fastenings and shorn side panels.
Her black mini skirt is crafted from leather taping over suede. It showcases a natural-rise waist, box pleat detailing, and an A-line silhouette.
Her black pebbled leather booties feature 4″ stacked heels with the British fashion house’s logo plate, an open-toe silhouette, covered vamps, adjustable ankle-wrap straps, and light golden hardware.
Such a great look for Fall!

If the Fall 2015 RTW Collection ushered in an era of uncertainty and excitement with the rise of Alessandro Michele (newest Creative Director behind Gucci), this Spring 2016 RTW Collection took us firmly in the land of his rejuvenated Gucci woman, back from her respite. There was literally land and sea printed on a bohemian-style dress with terms like Obedience, Generosity, and Sincerity. If those words were any indication of where the brand is going, I’m willing to go along for the ride.
The school girl ensembles originally shown in Fall 2015 made quite a few repeat appearances — berets, flowers askew, signature Gucci red-and-green striping, oversized reading glasses, and pleated skirts were in heavy rotation. It was a remarkable thing the first time, but in a second take, it makes me wonder whether I should come to expect this in every collection. Some things didn’t strike a chord for me, including a pineapple tie paired with a white suit with a snake wrapped on the pant leg and a striped shirt with flowers over the chest.
The journey was a bit disjointed for me. Sheer pastel dresses were mixed with chinoiserie-style sportswear, fur-trimmed coats, and seventies jewel-tone suiting. Who exactly is his Gucci woman and where is she going? But with some looks, I didn’t even care — my favorite piece was a peacock floor-length gown with gold metallic gloves. I could lowkey see Rita Ora wearing this for a formal fashion-y event. Another favorite was a red button-down dress with contrasting scribble print worn by model Nicole Atieno.
Overall, I came away feeling mixed thoughts, but it may just be that I had too high expectations following the success of Fall 2015. Here’s to hoping for more clarity on his Gucci woman in the next collection.
