So I decided to kick off this week in earnest with a fun Shoe Closet feature! It was hard coming up with an idea of who to feature next. We’ve spotlighted many of the greatest in the shoe game, from Marjorie Harvey and Solange Knowles to Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez!
Ciara’s been working her endorsement deals for Topshop and Ralph Lauren, and looking wonderful doing so. So I thought: she’s got next!
Perhaps Ciara has flown under our radar up until this point because her shoe err on the side of simplicity. Not one for flash, you’ll catch her in Stuart Weitzman Nudists, Casadei Blade Pumps, or thigh high boots from Topshop to Givenchy to Christian Louboutin.
When she does add flare, it’s with fringe and feathers. Her most noteworthy heels this season include the Alexandre Vauthier heels she wore to the MTV Video Music Awards and her fringed Polo Ralph Lauren boots.
Ciara is a Tomboy at heart, so you’ll certainly see her in utilitarian boots or sneakers for casual excursions.

Being Mary Jane is back on TV next week! That means Gabrielle Union is making a ton of stylish appearances this week. In her latest look at SiriusXM Studios, she slipped on a Baja East Resort 2016 Printed Sleeveless Vest, Fall 2015 Sweater Tunic, and $595 Alexandre Birman Clarita Tie Sandals:
Her vest was paired with ankle-tie espadrilles in the Resort 2016 collection.
The brand prides itself on unisex design and a similar tunic to Gabrielle’s was shown on a male model on the runway.
Her sandals feature elegant tie straps, slender 4″ stiletto heels, and adjustable ankle straps.

The heels feature an open toe, a lace-up front fastening, metallic hardware, a back zip fastening, and a branded insole.
Wear them with a white top and jeans or with a tonal look to make them pop.
Splurge a little more on the $1,855 fox fur version if you want to wear them into the colder month.

Apparently the social media derision was so heated, that it caused Stephen to make his page private (at least temporarily). After her reopened, he posted a picture with the boots on, writing, “I’ve seen some funny stuff today about the kicks but I love em! The BFFL @_raiiney with @byslr Hooked me up for the Obama x Kanye event yesterday.”
I don’t think they’re bad, but do think he styled them better the second time around. For the first go, a pair of sneakers would’ve been better.
