According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rihanna has partnered with talent manager Benoit Demouy to launch Fr8me, an agency that represents makeup artists, stylists, and hairstylists.
The LA based company will assist in booking their clients for red carpets, campaigns, commercials, and editorials.
Rihanna told THR, “Hair, makeup and styling play an important role in creativity. I am very involved with that part of my process, so this agency was an organic thing for me to do. We are lucky enough to have some of the best artists at Fr8me but I also have a soft spot for finding new talent with extraordinary skills.” Stylist Jason Bolden is already on her roster, as is Rihanna’s longtime makeup artist Mylah Morales, and hairstylist Marcia Hamilton.
Oh, and she’s not done! She also started a photo agency called A Dog Ate My Homework, which represents photographers Deborah Anderson and Erik Asla.
Yassss, Rih Rih! Stay making those business moves. BBHMM indeed.

It’s National Healthy Skin Month, which means it’s time to focus on taking care of, moisturizing and protecting our skin from dryness, especially as the weather transitions. Thus, I’ve partnered with Dove to take care of the skin I’m in, starting with today’s Bomb Product: Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash with NutriumMoisture.
The Body Wash is gentle but effective, and provides softer, smoother skin after just one shower (and it just won an Allure Best of Beauty Award for “Best Moisturizing Body Wash!”). It provides the rich lather I love and the mildness skin needs with even more of the brand’s gentlest cleansers.
I use it when I shower because it lathers up nicely, doesn’t make my skin feel stripped, and smells fabulous! Dove Body Washes both repair and maintain healthy looking skin, and Dove is actually the #1 recommended brand by dermatologists and pediatricians.
Mexican actress Cecilia Suarez shimmered and sparkled at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2015 in Mexico City in the same Balmain x H&M Green Plunging Sequin Mini Dress Kat Graham originally sported not even a week ago:
The only difference between the two ensembles was the footwear: Julissa went bold with a showstopping cage pair, while Adrienne opted for simple ankle-strap sandals.
The stretch leatherette LBD features lace trim, thin adjustable straps, a deep plunge bralet-style neckline, and figure-skimming silhouette.
I wasn’t too keen on the nude ankle-strap sandals, but I liked them better than Julissa’s statement-making pair. Adrienne won this round for me.
Did you all tune into the season premiere of Real Housewives of Atlanta this past Sunday? As you can imagine, the drama was on high…and so was the fashion! Marlo Hampton isn’t an official cast member, but whenever she’s on screen, she makes an impact: flawless hair and makeup, a bubbly personality, a healthy helping of shade, and a look that has usually traipsed down a runway. Given the latter, it only made sense that she would embark on a sartorial endeavor. When FBD friend Jessica at Glamazons Blog tipped us off to her new and fashionable web series, we knew we just had to take a peek.
The webisodes will be set in her incredible closet, which we already know is brimming with Chanel bags, Christian Louboutin shoes, and a load of other high-fashion accoutrements. “What better way to keep up with me then weekly chronicles from my closet with me and my girls and some of my favorite people in the style and glam industry”, says Hampton.
For the first installment, Hampton chats with two of her girlfriends, as well as her hair stylist. Given her relationship with the RHOA ladies, it would definitely be fun to see Cynthia Bailey discuss her modeling career, Sheree Whitfield talk about what happened to her brand She by Sheree, and to perhaps have some notable designers and other celebrities on the series.
Each webisode will be released after RHOA on Sunday night: just the thing to get you ready for the week ahead.
The power, funds, and prestige it takes to put on a fashion show outside of the industry’s sartorial capitals is no longer reserved for the likes of Louis Vuitton and Chanel, as eight-year-old brand Public School just showed their latest collection in Dubai. New York-based designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne have been increasingly garnering buzz over the last couple of years, as the new Creative Directors for DKNY, as well as gaining the sponsorship of American auto giant Cadillac. The brand took Public School to Dubai for their first-ever Pre-Fall 2016 runway show.
For the actual designs, Chow and Osborne stuck to their quintessential downtown cool and laid-back pieces: which surprisingly works well for the modest dress code in Dubai. Clean slip-on sneakers, mesh striped panels, half-zip roomy jackets, and printed bombers injected the brand’s signature athletic-inspired vibe, as did the models’ slicked-back and sleek hair.
Public School’s New York City sensibility came through in the collection’s somber color palette: Pre-Fall represents the transition between Summer and Fall and can still be punctuated with a bright hue or print after all. Hemlines were reserved and long for both women and men including knee-grazing shorts, lengthy anoraks, spacious trousers, and airy tunics—another element the Dubai set will be sure to enjoy.
What Chow and Osborne made sure not to do was give their take on Middle Eastern fashion. What they did instead was celebrate and demonstrate the way different trends and aesthetics are shaped globally. They pulled inspiration from Dubai’s duality: cloud-grazing skyscrapers and a seemingly boundless desert all rolled into one.
They sought to create the kind of assortment that could work year-round, no matter the wearer’s locale. Cozy knit frocks for Fall’s chilly temperatures, kimono-inspired jackets for those cool days in Spring, transparent tops for a bit of warm weather layering: the Public School customers are traveling (perhaps to Dubai or just crosstown in the Big Apple) and now they have a few more effortless and relaxed pieces to offset their fast-paced lifestyles.
So we have lots of great vendors who will be selling their wares at Cocktails with Claire D.C.!
In case you don’t live in DC or won’t be able to make it, I thought I’d shine a light on some of the designers who will be selling their wares to fashion obsessed Bombshells this coming Saturday at Mal Maison!
Today’s Bomb Product comes courtesy of Ankara Streets, a contemporary line which uses ankara fabric on flirty separates. I’m a fan of their $80 Sasha Bomber:
Pair with matching shorts, as modeled, or with a white tee and jeans.
I have a few vacations planned and would love to wear this there.
If you love it, too, purchase here.
Be sure to show some love to this DC designer!

Selena Gomez appeared at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after party in the same Mugler Spring 2016 dress sported by Naomie Harris at the Spectre London Premiere after party .
While Naomie added pizzazz with Zanotti sandals, Selena opted for black platforms.
They both look great, but Naomie wins this for me! The silver shoe is scintillating, and picks up perfectly on the frock’s embellishments.
