Danai Gurira attended ONE and (RED)’s ‘It Always Seems Impossible Until It Is Done’ Concert in New York City last night in a $305 Ashby Cut Out Maxi Dress by Staud:
Muted makeup and orange sandals allowed the dress to pop.
Her dress has a rectangular open back and an abdominal cut out.

Hot! or Hmm…?
In today’s feature, I wanted to showcase a blog that caters to both mommies and daughters. Scout the Cityis a lifestyle site that highlights recipes, parent advice and the sartorial musings of fashionable mom Sai De Silva and her chic daughter London Scout.
First off, how cute is London Scout?! After sifting through a large majority of the blog, it’s evident that this mini-style maven stays camera ready! Her style is a jambalaya of eccentricities that include statement making boots, quirky head gear and fun prints.
And, let’s not forget about London’s equally stylish mom! Sai’s style channels this laid-back and effortless vibe. She has a knack for amping up basic pieces while maintaining a subtle sophistication. This blogger beauty even shares tips with other mothers on how to step up their wardrobe game!
As the old saying goes, “the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree”! Slay on!
Want to know more about Sai and London Scout? Well, check out the duo’s blog here or feel free to follow them via Instagram @scoutfashion.
Teyonah Parris attended the Chiraq New York Premiere in a crystal and threadwork embroidered ombre t-length cocktail with draped fringe cape from Marchesa’s Fall 2015 collection:
She accessorized with Marchesa black patent shoes, as was modeled on the runway.
This isn’t my favorite Teyonah red carpet moment, but she looks gorgeous nonetheless.

In the spirit of our continuing support of minority designers and e-store owners, I bring you Habitually Fly!
The brand stocks loads of Afro-centric tees and sweats. One of my favorites is their $30 Barack & Michelle Taught Me Tee:
It comes in gray, white, red, and black, and shows love for one of the flyest couples to ever bless the White House.
Habitually Fly carries loads of pride-inspiring ware. Check out a short selection below:
That Nef crewneck is calling my name!

Happy Tuesday!
So last night, I was pleased to attend an event by sportswear brand Bandier, co-hosted by fitness juggernauts Reebok, Strut-This, and Ultracor.
Reebok, Strut-This, Ultracor, and Bandier have joined forces with artists Upendo, Christopher Lee Sauvé, and Malarko Hernandez to create athletic wear inspired by their unique artwork. Upendo, Sauvé, and Hernandez displayed their artwork at the Hole Gallery, while guests sipped cocktails and listened to sets by DJ Chelsea Leyland and Black Milk.
Pierre and I were in the building and snapped pictures of the event’s stylish attendees.
Take a look:
@FerminCreeps gave all black a kick with purple hair and green eyebrows.
Her friend went for understated in a pencil skirt and knit turtleneck.
This former Fashion Bomber embraced textures, prints, and distressed details.
This downtown fashionista rocked black pants with a Reebok x Upendo jacket that I must have.
Jeans and a vest were given some punch with a printed hoodie and a signature stance.
Lastly, yoga instructor extraordinaire and Reebok ambassador Tara Stiles threw up the deuces in a Reebox x Upendo cropped tee. Yes, abs!
As for me, I opted for a J Bailey high low cardigan with gray jeans, and add some punch with Reebok Ventilator kicks in rose gold.
It was a fun night, and I’m excited about all the fab and fashionable things Reebok has on the horizon!
**Upendo’s collaboration with Reebok is bomb!
Stay tuned to this space for updates on when you can nab a piece from the collection for yourself.

*Bombshell Jame Jackson wrote a great recap/testimonial regarding Cocktails with Claire, D.C. for her site, The Blonde Misfit:
She wrote, “When you first arrived, a lovely foreground stood outside for you to get your ‘celebrity’ spotlight on. Once you walked in, you were greeted by lovely staff members, who helped with check-in, transitioning into the main rooms, and servers who strutted around with delicious hors d’oeuvres all evening for the festivities.”
“Anyone who reads Fashion Bomb Daily will know of Claire’s “Cool Online Finds” section, where she highlights and spotlights Black-owned businesses in an effort to contribute to and build our #BuyingBlack ongoing push into the community. For the first time, this year’s Cocktails With Claire featured lovely vendors who traveled far and near to sample their clothes and wears. Handmade fabrics, sewn and stitched purses, and sequin blazers immediately caught my eye, but the diversity continued to trend as wave after wave of vendor and stylist showed up and showed out with their sales.”

Her pink suede and leather ‘Rolling High’ thigh length boots have a round toe, a side zip fastening, and a chunky high heel.
My absolute favorite winter combo is a sweater dress and thigh high boots. She looks hot!
