This year’s fine contenders are equipped to battle with embellished dresses, fitted jumpsuits, tailored suits and chic casual wares. In no particular order, here are our fashionable nominees…
With a marriage that spans 18 years and counting, coupled with a #relationshipgoals worthy sizzling chemistry, this stylish duo succeeds when it comes to keeping it all the way fresh.
Though we’re not bombarded with daily images of the thespian pair, they have definitely piqued our interest whenever they make an appearance on any red carpet.
Opting for ensembles of lighter hues or those adorned with statement sparkle details, Jada consistently smolders in the spotlight draped in brands such as Azzaro, Zuhair Murad, Balmain et al.
Mr. Smith continues to support his beautiful wife decked in sophisticated and uber dapper ensembles from Tom Ford, DSquared2 and Givenchy just to name a few. They are perfect, no?
2. Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West
The Wests are in the building! With and unwavering love for luxe and fashion, Kim and Kanye are seemingly a match made in heaven.
The dashing duo remained steadfast in their collective love of monochrome, rocking gems from some of their favorite fashion houses namely Balmain, Givenchy, Valentino, Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.
From curve-hugging dresses with clean lines and sheer embellished frocks, Kim has never been afraid to accentuate her bodacious bod. In most cases, Mr. West seems to prefer his wife to shine just a tad more than he does. We can surmise that he relishes in her grandeur and the attention she is bestowed. Maybe that’s the key to their domination! Who knows?
With a combined Twitter footprint of 55 million followers, there’s no denying the influence of the fashion focused pair. Kim’s recent release of her downloadable emoji app saw a reported 9,000 downloads per millisecond and Kanye just being declared by GQ Magazine as the Most Stylish Man of 2015, the new year is already looking quite remarkable.
3. Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade
Dwyane and Gabrielle were arm in arm at almost every red carpet, keeping us delighted in an array of lovely looks.
They have made stunning statements in both matching and contrasting high style ensembles. D. Wade’s love for fashion evident in his varied and eclectic personal style.
Gabby’s style flourished in embellished gowns, a mix of playful dresses, and chic textured shorts. This lovely pair is definitely a power couple with a predisposition to be ultimate style stars!
4. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Chrissy Teigen are an undeniably stunning couple.
Even on their down time while in attendance at Wimbledon, the pair continued to keep all eyes on them with Chrissy in a Magda Butrym fringe minidress paired with Stuart Weitzman heels and John in a sophisticated blue suit.
The soon-to-be parents are still blessing the scene with their presence. Chrissy’s pregnancy style has included leg baring dresses as well as curve accenting maxi frocks. Mr. Legend, of course continues to match his wife’s fly!

Fashionista of the Year is what you’ve all been waiting for right? It’s always our fave!
This year, there were a big helping of fashionable stars who smoldered on the red carpet in statement-making patterns, gowns that literally stopped traffic, athleisure, and curve-hugging designs. From the reigning champ with her out of this world ‘fro and love for mixed prints to a new mother whose stylish husband took her fashion cred to a whole new level, let’s see who is nominated for 2015.
1. Solange Knowles
Solange is back to hold down her crown! She truly does get better with every year: representing brands of color, indie designers, and showing us all how it’s done. She’s one of fashion’s biggest influencers and sets trends with little to no effort.
This year, she took NYFW by storm, hit the stage at FYF Fest, released more collections with Puma, and even landed on our Outfit of the Year list with a stunning Stephane Rolland jumpsuit worn at Versailles.
Whether in a cutout one-piece from Cushnie et Ochs or a ruffle-accented Milly dress, she always stood out: one of our favorite style chameleons in the game.
She twirled outside of 3.1 Phillip Lim in a frothy number that made everyone want to grab their best retro-inspired dress and hit the streets.
Her bold use of color inspired us all to commit to head-turning hues for every possible occasion.
We have no idea what Solange is going to do just yet in 2016, but we know it will be very very good and very stylish!

2. Kim Kardashian
The new mother spent most of her time this year pregnant with her son, Saint, but she didn’t hold back in the fashion department for one second!
She donned lots of black, with Kardashian-Jenner fashion house favorites Balmain and Givenchy leading the pack that is her stylish wardrobe. Kim slipped on Wolford spandex separates for the ultimate in comfort—and the better to flaunt her baby bump in of course.
She went blonde again because she knows the power of beauty…and loves to keep us guessing!
No matter what she wears, Kim works it. And we all know she’s no wallflower: latex, mesh, and sheer dresses were all on the agenda for her in 2015.
With her new app of Kimojis to her own book, she’s an unstoppable force in media and pop culture.
From Variety to ELLE, she also dominated in the editorial realm.
It’s very obvious that Kim is comfortable in her own skin, though we know she’s currently on a quest to lose all of her baby weight and then some. We know Kim is going to storm Fashion Month starting in February: we’re excited for her looks, aren’t you?
Mrs. Kardashian-West loves taking risks, so we’re expecting every scantily clad Balmain number from the latest collection and a whole lot of Yeezy x Adidas Originals.

3. Rihanna
We didn’t get a new album from Rihanna this year (perhaps in the next two days?), but we surely did get a slew of stylish sightings of the Bajan beauty! She spent a lot of time stomping the pavement and eating dinner at favorite eatery Giorgio Baldi, as well as documenting so many of her comings and goings for Instagram and Snapchat.
From stunning Dior Couture looks to accoutrements which showed that her accessories game is definitely on point, Rih sauntered in gowns from the biggest fashion houses in the world to her very own Puma creepers with ease.
When it comes to swag, confidence, and bravado, few have more than the inimitable Ms. Fenty.
We’re only talking fashion here, but her flawless face makes even the most casual athleisure getup look like gold. Rih also has a ton of fun on both the red carpet and off, which makes it a joy to see what she wears each and every single time.
I mean who could forget her pink number at the Dior show or her Guo Pei Couture gown at the Met Gala? Both are looks etched in fashion history.
And you know the glossy covers and editorial spreads were plentiful because she’s one of the most photogenic women on the planet.
We never know what Rihanna will give us next, but we do hope her new album is coming very soon! We expect a lot more Dior numbers in the future, more pieces from her Puma line, and even a star-studded NYFW show.

4. Jennifer Lopez
J.Lo proved that she could literally do everything in 2015: in sky-high pumps and a curve-hugging dress no less.
She stepped out daily for her judging duties on American Idol, though she also hosted the American Music Awards, and hit almost every red carpet anyone cared about this year: we only say that because there seemed to be a red carpet event every night!
Few do it better or sexier than Jenny. She opted for favorite designers like Zuhair Murad and Mugler, but also added David Koma, August Getty, Balmain, Nicolas Jebran and more into the style mix. You all sounded off on her looks without hesitation and Jennifer was hands down one of the most talked about celebs across all of our social media and on the site.
J.Lo isn’t new to this, but true to this! Each year, she gets even bolder and definitely leaves it all on the line with every single look. She was also snapped for Interview’s September 2015 social-centric issue, covered Marie Claire, and posed with Olivier Rousteing for Paper’s September issue.
Some of the superstar’s looks were a bit too risqué for our taste (sheer gowns should be worn in small doses in our minds), but we were never ever bored with her ensembles. She often had boyfriend Casper Smart by her side and with all the good fortune and power moves made on her end in 2015, we’d say she had a pretty amazing year.
And who could forget the Bao Tranchi LBD on her birthday? It landed her on our Outfit of the Year list!
With almost 34 million Instagram followers and a little over that on Twitter, all eyes will be watching. We know Jennifer will not disappoint, whether in a casual hoodie and sweats or her most glamorous attire.

5. Zendaya Coleman
Zendaya had one heck of a year! She literally grew up before our very own eyes and did it in style, every step of the way. With stylist Law Roach by her side, they literally made magic each and every time the KC Undercover star and co-producer hit the red carpet.
Whether she’s in an on-trend and fun Rosie Assoulin crop top or chic Ports 1961 trousers, she always looks absolutely flawless—and looks like she’s having the best time might we add.
Zendaya was honored as one of Ebony’s Power 100 this year, as well as getting her very own Barbie doll—fashioned after her head-turning Oscars look.
She released her own shoe line with Roach: aptly named Daya. She also hit the Met Gala with Fausto Puglisi: a designer she wore in 2015 again and again…slaying each and every time in his designs.
She also covered numerous glossies and was featured in a slew of editorial spreads.
There are more KC Undercover episodes in the works for next year and we know she and Roach are cooking up even more showstopping looks for awards season and Fashion Month in February.

6. Lupita Nyong’o
The Oscar award-winning actress landed a coveted role in the new Star Wars flick: catapulting her straight out of the stratosphere. Naturally, she did it all fashionably: working with stylist Micaela Erlanger on looks that dropped jaws at every turn.
Lupita sauntered down the red carpet in embellishment, futuristic accents, stripes, and bold hues. Her hair choices were just as varied—showcasing the versatility of natural hair and epic skills of Ted Gibson.
Her off-duty style—while heading into her Eclipsed performances at The Public Theater—lit the Internet on fire. Few looked as effortlessly fashionable.
Lupita’s face was all over high-fashion magazines this year, including VOGUE, ELLE, and Bazaar UK.
With The Jungle Book and Queen of Katwe in post-production, we already know that 2016 will be another huge year for Lupita.

Over here at Fashion Bomb Daily, we make sure we show love to all of our Bombshells and Bombers, both women and men. Although we always check out the womenswear selections and topics, we have to show our fashionable men love too!
So without further ado, we present to you our nominations for the Most Fashionable Man.
1.David Oyelowo
David Oyelowo is the epitome of dapper-chic. The English actor (most notably known for his roles in The Butler and Selma) has trailed as a definite contender for our Most Fashionable Male award.
One thing we can not get over is this man’s ability to wear a suit. Although it seems he tends to stick to classic colors and almost monochromatic looks, he has impressed us with his ability to showcase the various ways a suit can be worn; effortlessly and with an eclectic palette. 
A severe lover of Dolce & Gabbanna, this constant heart-throbber on the Red carpet doesn’t disappoint us with what a ‘Classic Man’ looks like. *cues song*
2 Jay Ellis
If there was a male’s version to the “Girl Next Door” vibe, I think Jay Ellis would be it. His infectious smile is only coupled with some very nice appearances he’s made this year; of course tailored with a great three-piece tuxedo to go along with it.
The handsome actor and ‘The Game’ star is taking Hollywood by storm, starring in the new HBO Pilot “Insecure” and producing two films as well as continuing his non-profit work. So pretty much, he’s perfect.
His style is always groomed, clean and just as effortlessly cool as he. Impeccable taste with a true gentleman feel, you can definitely see why Jay Ellis made our list! 
3.Kanye West
As always, Mr. West made our list this year for Most Fashionable Male, well, because he really just is that fashionable. Recently he was declared the “Most Stylish Man of 2015” by GQ, and of course he always tops the male fashion lists of major magazines and fashion publications, including us!
Whether you like Mr. West’s laid-back fashion choices or not, you can not deny they’ve always been influential. Plus, fashionable doesn’t always mean going with the trend; but instead cultivating a look all one’s own. We can definitely say Kanye dresses for nobody but Kanye!
He wears so much designer, it might be hard to even recount them all; however, he’s always stepped out fashionably and with style. Best yet, he’s been unapologetic in how the world views his stylings, and gives the designer brand an ‘every day’ look with his casual-approach to clothing. Wonder what 2016 will bring for him and his collaborative brands?
4. Russell Westbrook 
Although not perhaps your first choice when thinking ‘Most Fashionable’, one can not deny the influence Russell Westbrook has had on men’s fashion in just the last year. 
Although he used to get picked on for his out there clothing, Westbrook is now designing clothes for Barney’s as well as helping Nike with their marketing tactics for men.
Touring Fashion shows around the world, the once fashion-reject has now become a fashion-must with his partnership with Barneys, upon which he creates slimmer, European cut and fit clothing that maintains its comfortability.
5.Michael B. Jordan
Aside from the fact no girl can deny the mega-crush we all cohesively have on Michael B. Jordan, his effortless, casual-confidence look win us over every time.
He is as quick to throw on a bomber jacket and dark-wash jeans as he is to wear a suit, and that confidence and comfortability he has with fashion is what draws us to him every time we catch him on the Red Carpet or out promoting his lastest venture.
2015 has been an amazing year for the fashionisto, who not only appeared in the Fantastic Four movie, but also the box-office success Creed, where he played the son of fictional boxer Apollo Creed in the Rocky spin-off sequel. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for him in 2016!
6. Idris Elba
Idris Elba may just be like fine wine and get better with age. He had a very busy year in media, where many of us caught him in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Beasts of No Nation, various SKY box-set commercials, or even heard the collaboration with British fashion label Superdry.
Amongst all of his other projects, he’s set to do quite a bit of voice-over work in the coming year, including the tiger in The Jungle Book and an undisclosed character for Finding Dory (the sequel to Finding Nemo). 
He also solidified the title of GQ Magazine’s “50 Best Dressed British Men”, and with good reason! His style is always polished, refined and sharp for a man who prefers dark-toned suits and ties. His clothing line describes his aesthetic perfectly, “durable and functional”.
7. Tinie Tempah
Tinie Tempah has a set of rules I think he creates only for his benefit. His style differentiates in the details of his clothing: One ornate piece, the velour fabric of his suits, a pair of sneakers with an otherwise after 5 get-up. The list goes on and on.
A lover of a good blazer, Tinie Tempah showed us what understated fashion can look like: not loud, but still with a bang! As we wait on his third studio album, we will continue to bask in the goodness of his style choices! Definitely a fashionisto, no?
8. Dwyane Wade
As part of the fashion duo of Hollywood (alongside Gabrielle Union), Dwyane Wade seems to be in a fashion category all his own. An eclectic style that gets spotlighted at just the right times, Dwyane’s spot-on tuxedo fits give us serious #FashionistoFever .As an official ambassador to this past year’s New York Men’s Fashion Week, it was easy to see how his taste in menswear clothing and yet, refreshing spin on traditional classics got his nomination for Most Fashionable Male.
9. David Gandy
As one of last year’s nominees, it should come as no surprised that David Gandy made the list again this year! The London model has definitely set the personal style game extremely high with an impeccable precission to a good suit and great loafers combo.
A lover of a good tailored suit just as much as mix-matching separates, Gandy never looks out-dated or unfashionable, whether he’s found in the covers of GQ or waiting in line at the airport. He literally looks that good at the airport. Sigh.
10. Colin Kaepernick
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback does more than just work on the field; check out his wardrobe game! Aside from his work with GQ and Mr. Porter, Kaepernick has constantly shown us an undefineable, yet quite effective, sense of personal style that makes him totally a fashionisto.
A lover of a good blazer and button-down underneath, his look gives off professionalism mixed with youthfulness. One thing he’s said about his clothing choices? “I do want to be a representative of the African community, and I want to hold myself and dress myself in a way that reflects that. I want black kids to see me and think: ‘OK, he’s carrying himself as a black man, and that’s how a black man should carry himself.” (MrPorter)

What words can describe Ms. Badu? The “First Lady of Neo Soul” is definitely listed in our mental music Hall of Fame, and has long been the source of all things wisdom, good music, humor and consciousness in the 21st century. She’s never fit the mold, and never tried to.
Erica Abi Wright (better known by her stage name of Erykah Badu) was born in Dallas, Texas and raised alongside her brother and sister by a single mother who was in show business. At the age of four, Badu would have her first performance singing and dancing with her mother at the Dallas Theater Center.
Badu went on to study theater at Grambling State University (shoutout to my HBCU’s!), however, she left to pursue her music full-time before she could graduate. Her musical stylings caught the eye of Kedar Massenburg, who aside from pairing Badu to duet with D’Angelo, would also sign her to Universal Records.
Since then, Badu has produced nothing but greatness through the form of albums, artwork and mixtapes, among them: Baduizm, Mama’s Gun, Worldwide Underground, New Amerykah Part One, New Amerykah Part Two, and But You Caint Use My Phone.
Her musical stylings have been compared to Billie Holiday and D’Angelo. However, her magic has come from the deeper, intimate conversations brought on by her music, which is thought-provoking, possesses a level of consciousness, and laced with the remembrance of African roots and African culture.
We all know the Baduizm effect goes so much further than her music. She became the face of Tom Ford White Patchouli fragrance in 2008, the face of Givenchy’s 2014 Spring Collection, and has a list of awards and recognitions for her activism in both Dallas well as in Africa.
Erykah’s personal life is just as thrilling as her professional career, her life and personal choices constantly in the limelight. She’s a huge proponent for the vegetarian and veganism movement (20 years and 8 years, respectively), the mother of Seven Benjamin (with famous rapper Andre 3000 of OutKast), ex-lover of rapper Common, mother of Puma Curry (with West Coast rapper The D.O.C.), and mother of Mars Thedford (with rapper Jay Electronica).
Of course, after all the music, appearances, kids, baby daddies and food wears off, we always remember Badu’s sense of consciousness with political awareness and a true voice for the plight of Black America.
Singer, lyricist, actress, Doula, Midwife, owner of 726 head wraps (yes, we’re serious) with over 7,000 pieces of ankh jewelry (once again, we’re serious) and cultural goddess is everything we could ever imagine and then more. She has said she would run for President, so perhaps we should add fuel to the fire so she can get on board soon?
With a fan base that backs her up no matter the occasion (or daring individual who comes for her on Twitter), Erykah Badu encapsulates everything a living Goddess is and more. The amazing legacy that is Erykah Badu is why she’s our BeautyCrushWednesday. Is she yours?

Watch out Kendall, Joan and Chanel! Supermodels have a surprising new form of competition for designer campaigns: video game characters. Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière, has an interesting new campaign featuring Final Fantasy 4 video game character, Lightning.
The theme of the “Series 4” campaign is the blending of reality and fantasy, just like the futuristic inspiration for the brand’s spring collection and runway show. Expect to see references to anime, space and the digital world. The company partnered with video game designer, artist, and director Tetsuya Normura of Square Enix to create and animate the visuals. The multimedia campaign is new territory for the brand as Ghesquière hasn’t experimented too much with previous ad campaigns.

I don’t really do too much with my nails: I love gel but there’s only so many times in succession you can wear it without doing serious damage. And I use my fingers more than the average person—constantly typing away at the keyboard—so I often find manicures don’t last.
