Actress Emeraude Toubia took to the Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens Los Angeles Premiere in the same $500 Laquan Smith V Wrap Wool Skirt Kendall Jenner originally sported back in August:
Emeraude paired the piece with a metallic collar, white sleeveless crop top and illusion pumps, while Kendall chose a statement-making necklace, white bandeau, and silver strappy sandals.
The boiled wool skirt features neon trim and a thigh-baring slit.
Celebs were out in droves at The Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens Los Angeles Premiere. Our favorite actresses, musicians, style mavens, and TV personalities were in attendance.
Let’s see what they wore!
Janelle Monae looked like a futuristic goddess with a waist-long braid, metal-embroidered Erevos Aether LBD, and gold strappy sandals. One of her best looks ever.
Zendaya Coleman was Winter-perfect in a cozy Michael Kors turtleneck and rhinestone-embellished sheer-hem mini skirt. Isn’t she gorgeous?
Sofia Vergara and hubby Joe Manganiello were the best dressed couple on the red carpet. Sofia pulled her hair back and gave her LBD a pop of color with red lips. Hot!
A crinkled suit and Princess Leia-inspired buns were on the menu for Karrueche Tran.
Gina Rodriguez sported the classic combo of black and white in a two-tone gown. She’s never looked better!
Liz Hernandez slipped on a lace-up LBD with a thigh-high slit.
Becky G served up Grecian goddess in a beige draped-number with a plunging neckline and thigh-hight slit. Hot!
John Boyega went bold in a purple three-piece Versace tux. Definitely not for the faint of heart and thus, I loved this.
George Lucas, kept it casual, while wife Mellody Hobson shimmered in a sequin LBD. I live for her style!
Isaiah Mustafa was dapper in all-black.
Can you tell little black dresses were the trend for the night? Maria Menounos wore one with black suede thigh-high boots. She always looks cute!
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was handsome in a navy blue suit with contrast lapels.
Is it just me or did the holiday season sneak up on us just a little too quickly? Although, this is my absolute favorite time of the year, I feel totally unprepared. From the holiday parties to the Christmas shopping, I’ve yet to get into the swing of things. Luckily putting these looks together for today’s what to wear request has me excited for the tinsel and merriment.
Shayna writes, “Any suggestions for what to wear to bae’s work holiday party set at a casual bar? Any help is appreciated for the curvy chicks.”
These looks may be a bit on the dressy side for a holiday party at your local bar, but I think this time of the year calls for a little glitz and glamour. But if it’s just a little too much glam for the occasion, dress any of these looks down with a dark skinny jean and a sparkly flat.
Because everyone knows it’s all about the sequins during the holidays, sparkle in a pale gold sequin pencil skirt and a black cape blazer. An embellished satin box clutch, suede ankle strap pumps, and a stunning crystal statement necklace bring the look together.
Pop in a festive sequin blouse and dressy wide-leg trousers offset by a shaggy faux fur coat.
Gold glitter pumps, rose gold earrings, and a nude box clutch add a fun and flirty feel.
Jumpsuits are such a chic alternative to a holiday dress. Opt for a tapered option with a slight metallic shimmer.
Dress it up with a plush velvet blazer and a pair of jeweled pumps. A glittery box clutch and crystal drop earrings add that extra sparkle.
This may not be an office party look, but if your plans call for cocktails with friends, get into the holiday spirit in gold sequined trousers and a collarless red blazer.
Spiked gold heels, a metallic red clutch, and celestial drop earrings give this holiday look a little edge.
And for a winter-esque look, shimmer in a silver sequin top and a pair of winter-white wide leg trousers.
Add a touch of glam with a glitter knot pump, feather-embellished box clutch, and a pair of dazzling statement earrings.
And that’s it. I hope you have a wonderful time at the party. Which festive look fits your holiday style?
We love rumors simply because for a second we like to think they could be true.
Here’s one we’re hoping will be: word on the street is that Beyoncé is set to star in a new movie by Bradley Cooper, possibly a (fourth) remake of A Star Is Born, according to a source who confirmed the joint project with Page 6.
Since her film debut as the lead in Carmen: A Hip Hopera in 2001, Ms. Knowles has added many leads under her belt, including Austin Powers in Goldmember, The Fighting Temptations, Dreamgirls, and of course every sassy woman’s favorite, Obsessed.
An article from Us Weekly added fuel to the rumor fire, intimating that Bey has been “taking classes in New York and L.A. for the past year [to] land leading roles in movies.” Sorry ladies, not another Dreamgirls-type movie, either. “Bey’s looking for an iconic dramatic role…a film that’s socially relevant to African-American rights,” added an insider, who also notified sources that Beyonce had, in fact, turned down a role in NBC’s The Wiz Live! (that we so fabulously covered). Hmm…what role do you think she would have played?
Cooper has told E! News that the sources and joint-project are just rumors, although he’d love to work with Queen Bey. Is it really a rumor or simply on the hush-hush until things become solidified?
In the meantime, we can sit back and patiently wait to see how those acting lessons pay off for Mrs. Carter and the roles to surely come.
Lupita Nyong’o shimmered and sparkled at the Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens Los Angeles Premiere in an Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2015 Couture Sequin Cutout Gown:
Lupita added red lips and a Princess Leia-inspired bun to the runway’s simple styling.
Lupita slayed this entire week. We can all go to sleep now and wake up on Sunday.
Her Fall ’15 runway frock is crafted from tiers of pleated tulle and point d’esprit, intermixed with delicate lace panels. It features a lined body and sheer yoke.
Not a fan of the shoe choice here, but I love everything from the knee up!
Rita’s boots aren’t up for grabs, but you can get her dress for a splurge here.

Happy Monday, folks!
If you follow me on the ‘Gram, you’d know that I was invited by the Curaçao Travel Board to experience the best of the island!
We flew to the colorful get away on Jetblue, which has direct flights from JFK twice a week. Our days were filled from top to bottom with delectable dishes and fun sights. Read on for a rundown:
1. Where to Stay
We were graciously accommodated at the Curaçao Marriott, which features comfortable rooms and high speed Wifi. And get into this view!
Rooms range in price from $129-$199. Our package included a breakfast buffet. I loved it!
2. Where to Eat
I think I probably gained about 10 pounds in Curaçao: the food was BOMB! The best place to eat in downtown is Plasa Bieu, an unassuming stop in Willemstad that serves local delicacies.
When you go, I recommend getting the stewed goat (javetta stoba), stewed chicken (galinja stoba), brown rice (aros moro), and pumpkin pancakes (arepa di pampuma).
We also ate at a few other fantastic restaurants, including Fort Nassau, Komedor Krioyo, and Restaurant de Gouverneur. The fish is fantastic, and you should get the local dish called keshi yena, which is cheese stuffed with meat and vegetables.
Yum!
3. What to Do
I’ll admit that I am extremely lazy on vacations. I am fine sitting by the pool or ocean, reading a book, and getting my bronze on! You can do that at your hotel or at Papagayo Beach Club, which has loads of restaurants, bars, and lounge chairs by the beach.
If you want to get up and explore the island, take a tour of downtown, and stop by the Synagogue and the Governor’s Palace.
One of the most exciting things I did was visit the Ostrich Farm, where we perused peacocks, learned more about ostriches and even fed them (I was terrified!).
Aside from the Ostrich Farm, you should check out the beautiful beaches and dozens of natural attractions like Boca Tabla and Jan Thiel Beach.
It was a fun, relaxing time, and I’ll be sure to visit again!
*Thank you to our tour guide, Rignald Tokaay, who showed us around. If you visit the Curacao Tourism Board, ask for him!
