After conquering the fashion world with their H&M collection, Balmain has turned to a new area of fashion: children’s clothing. On Monday, the brand tweeted they will be releasing a children’s line in June starting at Balmain stores and on their website.
The collection will include 55 different pieces for boys and girls, inspired by designs seen on the runway and in past collections in the past 5 years. Creative Director Olivier Rousteing will be producing the clothing in house instead of contracting it out to a childrenswear company.
“These are the same looks that, over the years, moms and dads have repeatedly pleaded with me to produce for their kids,” said Rousteing to WWD.
After watching North West all over LA dressed in mini Balmain, it isn’t hard to imagine how successful the children’s line would be. However, despite the clothes being miniaturized, the prices aren’t any smaller. Prices will range from $205 for a sleeveless patterned T-shirt to $5,950, for an embroidered black dress.
Do you think the clothes will be worth the price point? Or will Nori be the only one rocking baby Balmain?
While recharging this weekend, I caught word about a bomb collection! Former Bombshells of the Day Danielle and Chantelle Dwomoh-Piper (also known as DPiper Twins) released their anxiously awaited Autumn/Winter lookbook and it’s evident that these fashionstas did not disappoint.
It also seems that the Twins also enlisted more fashionable talent for their seasonal campaign. With America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22 participant Ashley Molina modeling these fun and flirty pieces, Andrew Fennell brought the magic behind the lens.
This collection is print-tastic! DPiper Twins successfully incorporate an African influence coupled with asymmetric hems, mutli-colored palettes, loads of stripes, phenomenal plaid and even dark florals.
If I had to describe the ensembles in three words, I’d sum it up with the 3 F’s – Fresh. Fabulous. Funky.
In addition its uniqueness, this collection also uplifts a few street style trends. I spied a couple “ties around the waist”, timeless fringe and endless crop tops. DPiper Twins master an art of mixing and meshing different prints that prove to amp up the sartorial arsenal.
I’m here for it all! But, that floral maxi with the thigh-high slit is definitely calling my name!

I’m always in the market for a good, sturdy necklace to compliment all my outfits. Therefore, I am so excited to share with you my bomb product of the day: Essence Murjani ‘BlackGirlMagic’ necklace. Black girls are simply magical, so why not have a necklace that embraces that? This necklace is beautiful in person (of course I had to snag one) and comes in a variety of lengths: 16, 18, and 20 inches. All necklaces are made with 14k gold filling and are each handstamped individually. So no stock necklaces, each order is customized just for you.
My favorite thing about each of these necklaces is how they are so individual. Although mine boasts ‘BlackGirlMagic’, you can have yours say a variety of things, including ‘melanin’, ‘brown suga’, and ‘my black is…’
These are easy conversation starters (I’ve already received a ton of compliments on mine!) as well as a great gift to give to anyone rocking the #MyBlackIsBeautiful movement.Currently this necklace retails for $67, but I like to remember it’s handmade (which takes a lot of proficiency and time!) as well as 14k gold (which means with good care, it’ll last forever). The other necklaces are various price points, but this one is indeed my favorite.
You can check out this stunning necklace and more on EssenceMurjani. Will you be grabbing one?
Happy Monday everyone! After surviving the crazy blizzard here in D.C., I need some warmth in my life. Let’s visit Keia from California:
She says, “My name is Keia Mae from California. I have roots in both LA and Sacramento.”
“I would describe my style as a tomboy with a rock and roll edge and hip hop flare. ““I take a lot of influence from men’s wear with a feminine touch. ““Style is a lifestyle for me not just a trend or phase, I think music sets my mood for what I will wear for the day.” “But being as cool as the fellas is always a must. ““I’m a peacock even dressed down I still have my on twist.” “I am only on Instagram, but will soon launch my official blog in March.”
Check out more photos below:
Cool! You have a cool variety in your wardrobe that I am digging! Check her out on IG: @keia.mae. What do you guys think of Keia from Cali?

Model and Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner was papped while leaving Troubadour in West Hollywood last night rocking a pair of $1,195 Sergio Rossi Black Suede Puzzle Basic Sandals. She kept her look winter-ready as she also donned an enviable fur, a black crop top and chic black pants.
Her sultry heels feature a 4.25 inch heel, a leather sole and slim straps with geometric shapes.
Naturally, the black option seems to be sold out. But, there are gold alternatives currently available for purchase.
I absolutely love these!
