Another weekend, another awards show! The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards went down tonight with our favorite stylish actresses in attendance.

Let’s see what they wore!

Priyanka Chopra called forth Spring in a strapless floral embroidered Monique Lhuillier gown. In a word: stunning.

Laverne Cox was the lady in red, slipping on a burgundy draped, one-shoulder dress with cutout detailing and thigh-high slit from Prabal Gurung. Easily one of the night’s best dressed!

No awards show is complete without a Michael Costello appearance, thus Queen Latifah chose a long-sleeve embellished gown from the designer. She also won the Best Female Actor In a TV movie award for her role in Bessie. Such a great night for black actresses already!

Viola Davis brought the drama and the glamour in an artful Zac Posen design.

Eva Longoria sizzled in a long-sleeve embellished Julien Macdonald gown with a plunging neckline. She’s never looked better.

Sofia Vergara showcased her figure in a strapless hot pink Vera Wang number. Hot!

Uzo Aduba certainly made a few women green with envy in a Zac Posen dress in the bold hue. She walked away with the award for Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series. Congrats Uzo!

Dascha Polanco served up retro-inspired glamour in a white fringe Nurit Hen Couture gown.

Liz Hernandez was white hot in a long-sleeve Leah Da Gloria stunner. I live for her style.

Vicky Jeudy and Diane Guerrero certainly turned some heads in a black and white jumpsuit and strapless pink gown, respectively. They’re both such beauties!

Samira Wiley and writer Lauren Morelli were on hand at the awards show. Samira’s white gown was everything.

Sola Bamis was a ray of sunshine in a yellow Lola Wusu gown. I’ve got my eye on her and this designer!

Brie Larson skewed sultry in a baby blue Versace number with a cleverly-placed cutout and thigh-high slit. Hot!

A custom jacquard Christian Siriano piece was on the agenda for Christina Hendricks. She’s a total babe.

Another Christina—Ricci that is—slipped on a lavender Christopher Kane dress for the evening. Hot!

Ariel Winter was a brunette bombshell in a strapless Romona Keveza gown. Pretty no?

Sarah Hyland showed just how chic navy and black can be in a strapless lace-accented J.Mendel number.

A colorful sequin patchwork gown from Louis Vuitton was on the menu for Alicia Vikander. So different: I loved this!

Rachel McAdams is always one of my red carpet faves and she did not disappoint in a black floral beaded, swiss dot illusion gown from Elie Saab. Gorgeous.

Helen Mirren continued to be #lifegoals in a curve-hugging Jenny Packham gown. She’s always hot!

Claire Danes was simple and chic in a blue two-tone Stella McCartney gown.

Kate Winslet flaunted her curves in a forest green Armani gown. This was fab.

Emilia Clarke was pretty in pink in a Dior confection.

Nicole Kidman couldn’t help but smirk on the red carpet, knowing her Gucci gown was so fly!

Who had your favorite look of the evening?

Kerry Washington headed to Harvard University where she accepted the 2016 Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year Award. For the occasion, she donned a $238 Self Portrait Black Balloon Sleeve Dot Mesh Bib Lace Top and $360 Sea Black Buttoned A-Line Leather Skirt:

She went for a wavy tousled long bob with natural looking makeup. Stunning!

This balloon sleeve top has a dot mesh bib with lace up detail and an organza bib frill.

The neckline is finished with the same organza frill and a delicate picot edge. It is fastened at the back with an exposed zip.

I’m back with another installment of our Look of the Week feature and the competition is vicious! We’ve got it all – from a shimmery lux short set to a sultry high-slit number – the celebs definitely showed up and showed out.

1) Kourtney Kardashian in Lanvin

Kourtney Kardashian made a quick appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show as she donned a gold silk blend short set by Lanvin. The $3,060 ensemble boasts classic lapels, concealed fastening and front pockets. The hot mom also uplifted a pair of simple black sandals and enviable hair. Hot!

2) Selena Gomez in Phillip Plein

Actress/singer Selena Gomez oozed all kinds of sex appeal while performing on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The starlet slayed in a black Spring 2016 Phillip Plein plunging side slit gown which also features a fair share of leg. She looks great, no?

3) Rita Ora in Ralph & Russo

I’m convinced. Red is officially Rita Ora’s go-to color! We’ve highlighted this fashionista in the hue multiple times and she just never ceases to amaze. In this instance, the singer chose a Ralph & Russo Fall 2015 Couture high neck cape gown – with a blonde wavy ‘do, platform pumps and a bold lip – she was the epitome of chic.

4) Teyonah Parris in John Paul Atakar

The lovely Teyonah Parris was on hand for the 47th NAACP Image Awards Nominees Luncheon and she looked every bit of gorgeous. The actress slipped into a tuxedo-inspired jumpsuit by John Paul Atakar and accented her look with metallic sandals. Side note: I’m a huge fan of Teyonah’s natural hair styles, am I the only one?!

5) Draya Michele in Kyna Collection

Mommy-to-be Draya Michele graced the cameras as she attended the LA premiere of the new comedy 50 Shades of Black. The reality star uplifted her growing baby bump in a Kyna Collection one-shoulder jumpsuit. This sleek ‘fit also boasts a tie at the neck and an asymmetric effect. Cute!

6) Olivia Culpo in Givenchy

Last up, we have Olivia Culpo! The style maven sizzled and popped in a black and white frock by Givenchy. Staying true to the theme of the Minnie Mouse Rocks the Dots Art & Fashion Show, the beauty’s outfit showcased polka dots galore and Olgana Paris T-Strap bow pumps. I adored this take on a more playful approach to style!

The anticipation was palpable at this season’s couture show for Dior, due in large part to Raf Simons’ abrupt resignation as creative director. With uncertainty looming in the air, there were obvious questions surrounding who would be at the helm of the house’s atelier and what direction the aesthetic would lean toward now.

Those that bore witness to Simons’ inaugural collection for Dior during 2012’s spring couture season (or tuned in to the documentary Dior & I, which chronicled the events leading up to the afore-mentioned) can agree that all the painstaking attention he paid to every stitch and every nuance translated from his imagination and inspiration to the runway exceeded his expectations and those of onlookers.  His interpretation of the Dior woman during his reign was the perfect marriage of ultra feminine elements, vibrant prints and colors, modernity, and exquisite tailoring.  And he did all of this while remaining true to the essence of all things Dior.

But the Simons’ era has come to pass as he now focuses on his eponymous line, leaving everything in the hands of new designers for the house, Lucie Meier and Serge Ruffieux.  This season, the silhouette was deliberately relaxed.  Typically constricted dresses draped in yards of silk, satin, and tulle, and peplum jackets cinched at the waist gave way to a much softer approach.  Barely there sheer dresses in lilac and baby blue and outerwear pieces void of over-structured elements seemed to, ironically, be the backbone of this season’s assortment.  There were darling skirts bedecked with sparkly adornments.  The preponderance of prints and mix of textures didn’t overwhelm the collection, surprisingly.  But admittedly, the mood felt slightly mundane.

The palette of navies, blacks, and brooding reds turned spring on its head, with limited offerings of pastels.  And there weren’t as many gowns this season as previous ones, though the ones presented, along with some slip dresses and overcoats, provided an interesting asymmetry about the shoulders.  The collection, though beautiful, personally lacked the essence of the pomp and fanfare that revolves around haute couture.  Erring on the side of ready-to-wear, a number of skirts will undoubtedly make their way on the bodies of Hollywood’s elite.  Jennifer Lawrence and Zoe Kravitz just to name a few.  But a heart-stopping, tear-jerking moment?  The one gown that could bring a crowd to its feet in rousing applause and adoration for its creator?  That effect was missing.

Nonetheless, the result wasn’t a complete miss.  Maybe the intent of Meier and Ruffieux was to evoke a sense of comfort by peeling back the layers of all the rigidity and structure deeply rooted in haute couture.  As onlookers, we have to account for variable change, especially in the world of fashion.  While this season may be deemed by some as Meier’s and Ruffieux’s tepid entry into such a prestigious design house, it may have many enthusiastic about what the duo has in store for ready-to-wear month given the expert tailoring of skirts, tops, and trousers.  Nonetheless, the designers definitely have to up the ante as far as couture is concerned – especially given this recent revolving door of creative heads quickly being hired and fired after only a few seasons – by effectively intertwining imagination, innovation, vision, and consumer desires.  Hopefully, Meier and Ruffieux will have many more seasons to do just that.

Kylie Jenner was spotted in Los Angeles in the same Dior Black Pointed Toe Lace Ankle Booties Rihanna originally wore back in November 2015:

Kylie paired the stunners with a black coat and loose fitting jumpsuit. Rihanna chose distressed denim and a tan colored Chanel shearling belted long coat.

The sold out stompers are crafted from lace and feature a pointed toe.

Although I love the look on both ladies, Rihanna gets my vote for the win.
