When describing his style, he said, “Anything inspired by a men’s uniform (from car mechanics shirts to business suits to some edgy urban looks).Tempered by bright colors are some of the looks I go for.
Check out more photos below:
Yaaasss Darvell! I loved all your looks, especially the tailored suits (because, who doesn’t love a man in a tailored suit?) You guys can stay up on his style at IG:@only1venom. What do you guys think of Darvell from the Bronx?

Rio Uribe is not here for your tried and true practices or codes when it comes to fashion. And after his major 2015 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund win, we’d pretty much say that the power players in the industry agree with him. Though unisex fashion has always leaned a bit more on the side of women (“menswear-inspired” and “borrowed from the boys” are much more common), he’s showing that absolutely should not be the case with his brand Gypsy Sport.
With Fall 2016, he continued to do what he does best: defying and veritably eradicating what the industry would classify as “masculine” design. A zip-front cropped white track jacket and matching turtleneck felt equally Prince in the 80’s and b-boy, while a pair of patchwork flares were decidedly Seventies.
What will be interesting to see is how Uribe reworks these exact same pieces when he shows during NYFW’s womenswear shows. This definitely makes the case for swapping clothes with your brother, boyfriend, BFF, and all the other fashionable guys you hold dear.
The diverse cast was also another standout element of the collection and one that seems incredibly important to highlight for men of color. Jaden Smith and Young Thug have caught quite a bit of flack for dressing in a manner that many would describe as “feminine”, but Uribe disputes that entire idea here. If limiting people by gender is restricting, then doing the same with their fashion choices is equally as harmful.
With a powerful message and functional design on his side, we don’t have any doubt that Uribe’s career in fashion will be long. Gypsy Sport has been around since 2012, but this was clearly the beginning of the brand’s foray into the mainstream. It’s definitely a label to watch.
Fashion sweetheart and concrete catwalk pro Olivia Palermo recently announced that she will be launching a collection of work wear staples with Nordstrom.
Palermo joined forces with Chelsea 28 to help produce a spring collection featuring a few of her wardrobe favorite culottes, denim midi skirts and impeccably cut blazers.
In an interview with Vogue, she expresses the versatility of her showcased pieces:
“I really like the military vest and the sleeveless suede trench from the collection because they are perfect layering pieces, you can wear each one as a vest or as a dress, mixing them with other pieces in your wardrobe to create looks you can wear throughout the year. A statement coat or vest is always a focus for my personal look because I think a vest or jacket adds dimension and completely elevates an outfit.“
Prices are pretty reasonable with designs starting at $68. Her collection hits Nordstrom stores on February 8th.
I’m pretty excited about this one. Olivia’s always been one of my go-to fashionistas!
Laura Govan has had a serious beauty and fashion transition over the years.
Largely after her significant weight-loss journey, Laura has gone from reality star and simple Basketball-star wife to an all out fashionista, known for daring looks with a sexy twist.
While she was finding her footing at first a few years back, Laura either straddled the fence of ill-fitting clothes that didn’t show off her forming shape, or wearing completely inappropriate getups that just were not complimentary… to anything.
Now after losing the weight and losing her long hair, Govan is leading the way to looking sultry on Instagram (where she posts many of her photos), as well as appearances on the red carpet where she, no doubt, shows off her toned features and smoking physique. With the creative direction of her stylist Daniel Hawkins aka @1800DHawk, Govan has now adopted a look of sexy sophistication, rocking classic silhouettes but putting her own spin on it, whether through color, texture or cut. Perhaps one of the greatest things about her to a lot of people is she isn’t a label fanatic; at times, she’ll wear nothing designer and at other times, head to toe. Nowadays you’ll find her working on her latest projects, including her new TV show, The Next: 15, which follows the lives of six reality stars in their new entrepreneurial pursuits. Govan is working on authoring children’s books, so we can’t wait to see what she brings! Keep a look-out for it on TV One. Check out her video for the show:
Michael Costello, Band of Outsiders, House of CB, Opening Ceremony, Duckie Confetti, Christian Louboutins, and more grace her closet. Of course, her shoe game is impeccable; so much so, we had to cover it here on FashionBombDaily.
Let’s let the photos speak for themselves. Check out our gallery where we show her fashion transformation over the past few years! What do you think of Laura Govan’s style evolution?
Throughout the interview, Rihanna discussed her relationship with Drake, her dressing room essentials and (of course) her upcoming Anti World Tour…
… But, it’s the fashionista’s ‘fit that has social media buzzing!
Her pricey Alexandre Vauthier Patent Green Mini Skirt was quite the eye-catcher! The edgy (yet sultry) piece boasts a zipped feature and a high-waisted fit.
Although I was unable to find Rihanna’s EXACT color, there was silver metallic option available here – but, it’s sold out as well.
The stunners house a serious heel and ooze sheer chicness.
I’m here for it all!Go RiRi!
**BONUS: Check out a brief snippet of Rihanna on the Ellen DeGeneres Show featuring George Clooney and a hilarious game of “Never Have I Ever”, lol. Watch it now below!**
Last night in Los Angeles, Hip Hop Weekly and Armadale Vodka hosted a red carpet premiere for TV One’s new shows “Here We Go Again” and “The Next :15” and the season 2 return of “Born Again Virgin.” Eva Marcille of “Born Again Virgin;” Wendy Raquel Robinson, Kyndall Ferguson, and Monique Coleman of “Here We Go Again;” and Claudia Jordan, Laura Govan, Benzino, and Jennifer Williams of “The Next :15” all convened for the event.
Take a look:
Eva Marcille rocked white jeans and a cut out top.
Stylist EJ King showed off his pectoral muscles in a plaid button down.
Tara Reid has been out of the spotlight for a minute! She looked easy and breezy in a green and black printed dress.
Benzino looked dapper in a green bomber jacket and jeans.
Jennifer Williams sizzled in a shimmery slightly sheer gown.
Claudia Jordan looked lovely in a powder blue jumpsuit, though the feather duster wasn’t necessary.
Nicole Murphy went for casual in a gray jumpsuit fashioned out of jersey.
Wendy Raquel Robinson showed off some leg in a golden high slit cocktail.
Inside…
Kenya Moore skewed demure in a purple maxi.
And the attendees posed for a group shot. Laura Govan beamed in a bold blue Diane von Furstenberg suit.
Looks like fun times!
Will you be tuning into TV One for these shows?

We don’t do enough for the fellas, do we?
Well, in the spirit of New York Fashion Week: Men’s, I figured I’d show some love to the guys with Maniceto PPF’s Western Biker Denim Shirt:
The $140 piece gives a classic a twist with a traditional collar, uplifted gold front snaps, star details, and an embossed leather patch on the back.
