Hey Bombers and Bombshells! Just getting back in from our first show this morning for New York Fashion Week, and I can’t wait to keep you posted! Today for our Fashion Bombshell, we have Bria from Dallas:“My name is Bria Whitaker but I go by “Bria Charlise.” I am a born and raised Dallas, Texas native.”
“I am currently a senior studying Merchandising at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. From a curious kid to now an ambitious and intelligent young woman, I have enjoyed reading books, magazines or online articles about what were “trending,” designers, artists, and the overall history of fashion.”
“My dress behavior reflects my feminine, eclectic and timeless style. My justification for that is I am my own person and I am comfortable in the beautiful, brown skin that I am in.”
“I believe in following and keeping up with trends but then again I am a rebel because I like to set my own rules and standards. The talented, masterminds, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen inspire me.”
“In the next five to ten years, I plan to obtain two degrees and I will become an Image Consultant or a Creative Director in the editorial field. I will inspire and teach other women to “BE-YOU-TIFUL” in the skin that they’re in and with God on their side anything is POSSIBLE!”
You go girl! We certainly believe in all your aspirations to inspire other women their beautiful! I loved your studded heels, brown poncho and black/white stripped dress. Cute! You guys can check Bria out on IG: @IamBriaCharlise. So tell us, what did you think of her style?

Supermodels and stylish celebrities were out in full force at the 2016 amfAR New York Gala, celebrating the organization’s amazing work and the start of NYFW. Strapless gowns, thigh-high slits, sheer fabrics, and prints were all on the menu.
Let’s see what they wore!
Cindy Bruna donned a strapless floral jacquard gown. So elegant.
Rose Bertram served up a vintage vixen in a strapless sheer lace Mety Choa Couture gown.
Anais Mali was gilded in a gold sequin halter gown. Ravishing!
Jasmine Tookes was white hot in an elegant one-shoulder gown. Simply stunning.
Padma Lakshmi was pretty in pink in a classic, curve-hugging halter Theia gown. She’s never looked better!
Chanel Iman brought some drama to the night in a strapless lace bustier and high-waist trousers with a voluminous train. Another flawless look for the model!

A Pre-Fall red strapless gown with half-sequin cups, a bow back, and thigh-high slit with lace trim from Marchesa was Adriana Lima’s choice for the evening. Hot!
Giovanna Battaglia’s style is impeccable, thus it was no surprise that I was wowed by her Carolina Herrera stunner.
Black feathers gave some punch to Rachel Zoe’s one-shoulder gown.
Kelly Gale flaunted her mile-long stems in a silver embellished dress with a thigh-high slit. Isn’t she gorgeous?
Heidy de la Rosa showed just how powerful simplicity can be in a strapless black number with a sultry slit.
Heidi Klum tried on the cape trend for size in an embellished Zuhair Murad piece. This was fab.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were easily the night’s best looking couple, with the lady in Chanel.
Marianna Hewitt was clad in a Reformation cape gown for the evening. Charming no?
Soo Joo Park went bold in an asymmetric shoulder printed Moschino dress.
Bryan Boy kept warm in a striped fur, layered over his printed sport jacket.
Diane Kruger was draped in an icy blue Prada confection with wispy black feather trim. I live for her style!
Micaela Erlanger showed that stylists have the best style in a cold-shoulder gown with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit. Hot!
Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week is in full swing! Whether you’re set to see the industry’s top models slay the runway or plan to stroll the streets for a little style inspiration and celebrity spotting, I’ve got you covered with today’s style suggestions.
For a city chic look, pair wide-leg ivory pants with a navy wrap top.
Give the look a fashionable twist with a pleated trench coat, leopard print pump, and structured leather satchel with dangling tassel detail.
Create an edgy street style ensemble with a faux fur collar vest, leather midi skirt, and grey ribbed sweater.
Silver fishnet embellished pumps, a geometric leather shoulder bag, and fashionable tech accessories add a stylish flare.
Opt for a lady-like silhouette in a pleated hem tunic shift dress and salt and pepper tweed jacket.
Incorporate statement making pieces like a suede and fox fur knee-high boot, Fendi Peekaboo satchel, and oversized square frame sunglasses.
Dress up flared denim jeans with a draped knit jumper and beige fox fur stole.
A fringe fold-over fringe clutch, nude leather pumps, and a Cleopatra gold cuff add a noticeable touch.
What do you fashion slayers think of today’s looks? Are they front row and front page worthy? Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend and as always, be sure to follow me on Instagram @StyleIsMyObsession for more style inspiration.

Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School are no strangers to debuting limited and coveted collaborations on their catwalks. They first showed their kicks in partnership with Jordan on the runway and this season, they will be giving us a glimpse of their joint effort with Fitbit:
The fitness brand revealed its new Alta monitoring device not long ago: coming in at $130 and featuring a slim cuff and interchangeable bands that not only display texts, but also track sleep and activity.
The design duo will be putting their own spin on the Alta. Fashionista reports that their iteration will have “custom hardware, fine metals, and inspirational and bold graphic phrases…true to the Public School color palette and brand mantras.” Sounds pretty cool no?
The pieces won’t be available until later this year and the prices are still being determined, so stay tuned!
Thoughts on the Public School x Fitbit collaboration? Do you already own the device?
