While recharging this weekend, I caught word about a bomb collection! Former Bombshells of the Day Danielle and Chantelle Dwomoh-Piper (also known as DPiper Twins) released their anxiously awaited Autumn/Winter lookbook and it’s evident that these fashionstas did not disappoint.

It also seems that the Twins also enlisted more fashionable talent for their seasonal campaign. With America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22 participant Ashley Molina modeling these fun and flirty pieces, Andrew Fennell brought the magic behind the lens.

This collection is print-tastic! DPiper Twins successfully incorporate an African influence coupled with asymmetric hems, mutli-colored palettes, loads of stripes, phenomenal plaid and even dark florals.

If I had to describe the ensembles in three words, I’d sum it up with the 3 F’s – Fresh. Fabulous. Funky.

In addition its uniqueness, this collection also uplifts a few street style trends. I spied a couple “ties around the waist”, timeless fringe and endless crop tops. DPiper Twins master an art of mixing and meshing different prints that prove to amp up the sartorial arsenal.

I’m here for it all! But, that floral maxi with the thigh-high slit is definitely calling my name!

Signing Out — Esmesha

I’m always in the market for a good, sturdy necklace to compliment all my outfits. She kept her look winter-ready as she also donned an enviable fur, a black crop top and chic black pants.

Her gold silk blend metallic blazer boasts classic lapels, long sleeves, a concealed fastening, and two front pockets.

Her matching gold silk and cotton blend metallic shorts feature a mid rise, concealed fastening, two inset pockets at the sides, and rear welt pockets.

Versace has solidified its place in history for praising and exalting the female form: its every arch, curvation, and bend. Donatella Versace has been at the helm of the brand for almost two decades now and has definitely made the iconic Italian fashion house synonymous with power, sensuality, and strength: yes, the kinds of pieces you would wear for a night out but for the love of your own body and not that of the male gaze. D-ring accented straps, bomber jackets, functional knits, and contrast stripes kicked off the sporty chic vibe that pervaded over its latest Couture assortment.

But let’s not fool ourselves: Versace was not straying from its signature aesthetic. Expertly-tailored power suits, deep-cut necklines, sultry slits, and flashes of flesh were on parade. Midriff-baring bandeaus, pencil skirts accented by thigh-high cuts, sheer sleeves, and poignant perfection were on the agenda out of the gate.

Couture calls for technicality and that was on high by way of colorful woven straps, sexy open knits, smoldering slits beset with sequin embellishment, and flesh-tone under layers giving the impression of almost complete nudity.

And with awards season underway, one always has to wonder which pieces from the Couture shows will appear on red carpets over the next month. A black strappy design looks like it was made for the Oscars afterparty circuit, while a white embellished number with a plunging neckline accented by a simple yellow t-strap could actually be a contender for Best Dressed on one of Tinseltown’s most stylish.

Versace does high-octane glamour better than anyone and though those moments did not break the mold here, they were just what the fashion doctor ordered.

The stars were out at The 2016 Trumpet Awards. Reality TV stars, actors from our favorite TV shows, songstresses and more hit the red carpet in lesser-known brands that definitely brought the drama and glamour.

Joseline Hernandez is no wallflower, thus she layered a fur over an illusion neckline jumpsuit. I would’ve preferred black patent pointed-toe pumps as anchors here, but I did love the piece and that hair!

Bryshere Gray was dapper in a black and white dizzying sportscoat and embroidered loafers. He always looks great.

Kelly Price brought the drama in a black cape gown by stylist and designer Grover DuBose II. She’s never looked better!

A gold embellished Vintage Hazel gown was on the menu for Demetria McKinney. This was fab.

Actress Jasmine Burke gave a flash of thigh in a draped gown with a thigh-high slit.

Joe donned a three-piece tux for the night.

Primadonna accented her Pressed ATL long-sleeve gold gown with a black and gold belt and Valentino rockstud pumps.

A cozy long fur, graphic knit and t-shirt, destructed denim, and Yeezy kicks were Raheem Devaughn’s choices. A bit too much going on here for my taste…

Terrence J kept it classic in an expertly-tailored black tux. Isn’t he handsome?

Tweet slipped on a black peplum gown with long sheer sleeves. I wish she was out and about more often!

Last, but certainly not least was Vivian Greene in a long-sleeve feather accented Lillie gown. Such a beauty.

Who had your favorite look at the awards show?

America Ferrera injected some retro-inspired flair to the 27th Annual Producers Guild Of America Awards red carpet in a $395 Alexia Maria Silk Faille Strapless Cocktail Dress:

Her black and white silk faille dress features allover polka dots, a straight strapless neckline, fitted bodice with boning, seaming at the natural waist, a full skirt with pleat detailing, and side slit pockets.

This was literally perfect.
