The jacket was designed in collaboration with Future, exclusively for his Purple reign tour. It features a Microsuede outer shell, and 2×2 Rib Knit cuffs, collar and waistband.
The color is already a hit amongst beauty influencers, and looks good on practically any skin tone. See proof below:
My friends and I tried it on, and it worked for all our skin tones (please excuse our non makeup wearing selves, we were just having fun! But it upgraded our looks immediately!).
I LOVE it, but it’s kinda messy…got all over my hands and keyboard. I need to figure out how to make it stop bleeding all over everything!
At any rate, if you’d like to try, get yours for $17 here.
Rita Ora took a quick trip to Londontown to celebrate with other UK superstars at the Prince’s Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards. Rita, who typically stuns on any red-carpet, stayed true to form wearing a curve-hugging, yet demure look by Vionnet.
The capelet features a single button enclosure and offers comfort and coverage with airtex fabric. The ribbed top and pleated pencil skirt flow perfectly with each other by subtly playing on different textures so closely together.
Rita exchanged the white platforms worn on the model for silver ones and decided on a green belt to excite her look a bit. Her 1950’s waves and light makeup beautifully offset such a trendy look. And the color complimented her skin tone perfectly. I, for one, thought she nailed it. Hot!
The look isn’t available for sale online (le sigh), but you can look at the collection here.
Happy Monday everyone! It was a VERY busy weekend for me, so I definitely need a boost to get this weekend started off! I think that boost can happen with Dorian, who hails from Harlem:
She says, “My name is Dorian Grace and I was born in Philly, but now reside in Harlem, NY.”
“I am the owner of DLUX, a Chicago contemporary boutique and an industry fashion branding sales maven.”
“I’ve worked for several celebrity brands from Sean John to House of Dereon to Fetish…”
“Aand now have my sites set on the luxury market.”
“I would describe my style as a tomboy chic look; urban edge with a sophisticated twist.”
Cute Dorian! I love your looks, especially that thigh-high slit dress and that white/green number! Work it girl! Ya’ll, stay up to date with her on IG: @iamdgracestyle. Let me know, what do you think of her style?

Leave it to Marjorie Harvey to consistently snatch our edges during Fashion Week. For the Dolce & Gabbana after-party, she donned a sheer black dress with floral detailing from the iconic fashion powerhouse’s Spring 2016 show collection.
heir Spring 2016 collection definitely showed off florals paired with sheer overlays. Marjorie paired hers with some yellow heels and a black and white polka dot blazer.
I think she looks stunning, as per usual. What do you think of her look?!
As much as we have to see which celebrities are on the scene at designer presentations for Fashion Week, we have to see who is rocking what for street style!
Photographer David Nynazi was in Paris to capture just a tidbit of all the style that abounded during the final fashion week, one that’s definitely high-strung with designer threads, avant-garde dressing and sheer fabulousness.
Paris Fashion Week brought out a slew of Bombers and Bombshells who took full advantage of the weather to show off how THEY rock style.
Let’s indulge in some fabulous street style from Paris Fashion Week above in our gallery. Click through and tell us: which look was your favorite?
The stars were out for the Eclipsed Broadway Opening Night After Party! Lace, bold lips, vibrant hues, and plunging necklines were just some of the highlights complementing the natural beauty of the stunning black women in attendance.
Let’s see what they wore!
Lupita Nyong’o accented a teal lace Balmain gown with blue eye shadow and red lips. Hot!
A draped Maria Lucia Hohan dress was LaLa Anthony’s choice for the evening. Stunning, no?
Danai Gurira went bold in a turquoise Schiaparelli Couture gown with a pink sash. Pretty!
Naturi Naughton slipped on a zipper-accented long-sleeve number for the occasion.
A gold and black embellished Tracy Reese column gown and rhinestone-accented choker were on the menu for Pascale Armand.
Saycon Sengbloh tried on the cape trend for size. So many beautiful ladies!
Zainab Jah shimmered and sparkled in a silver embellished number.
Who had your favorite look at the celebration? Can’t wait to see this play!
Riccardo’s Tisci’s Egypitian-drenched influence was quite evident throughout the presentation of Givenchy’s Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear collection. Each model looked as if they were (literally) gliding down the catwalk as consistent strings of boisterous prints, majestic detailing and signature black monochromatic ‘fits proved that these pieces were a distinct evolution from the fashion house’s feminine romanticism from Spring 2016.
Of course, the seasonality behind Fall calls for darker hues and heavier textures; however, Tisci’s take on this transition was extremely refreshing – rich gold-tinged silks housed the design of the Eye of Horus while other pieces boasted loads of mini-ruffles, sheer layering and beige snakeskin effects.
Although there was a bit of a sultry appeal (i.e.- high slits, bare midriff and a playful white lace tiered mini dress), a military-inspired conservatism worked as a slight contrast. With the introduction of high-collars, intricate button detailing and chic epaulettes, the edginess of these accentuations are perfect for our statement-making fashionistas (take note!)
Yet, the factor I loved most was the versatility of the brand. An impressive majority of the pieces can be paired with a few wardrobe staples including a bomb pair of skinny jeans, leather moto trousers, pleated midi skirts and a sleek LBD. When collections possess a certain level of relatability, I believe that helps to garner more inspiration to the masses. And, what Givenchy presentation would be complete without one (or two) fur-trimmed wonders?!
In my opinion, the show was a success! With a superstar following including the sartorial support of Kanye West, Beyonce and the entire Kardashian/Jenner clan, Givenchy is a force to be reckoned with. The Fall collection showcases that women can be sexy in even the most masculine pieces and, with the right styling and unexpected quirks, a mind-blowing look can be taken to unparalleled levels. In addition, I’m a huge fan of Tisci’s unpredictability – it’s a strong precursor that, I feel, gives him that unwavering longevity.
Kelly Rowland has been all over Paris Fashion Week! She sat front row at the John Galliano Fall 2016 show in a Plaid Blazer, White Sheer Lace and Ruffle Dress, and Black Swiss Dot Tights from the brand’s Spring 2016 collection:
Her look was paired with classic black brogues on the runway.
