From taking over Men’s Paris fashion week to winning BET’s ‘Best Video Director of the year,’ Teyana Taylor is on fire and she’s letting us know that she didn’t come to play.
The “A Thousand and One” star shut down AMIRI’s Spring ’24 Paris runway show in cream double breasted AMIRI suit that was layered with a nude trench coat and paired with all white sneakers.
She captioned her Instagram post, “Pearls and Cream” which was quite fitting considering her pearl accent $715 Simone Rocha egg bag that had a pearl crossbody strap .

Taylor posed with the Designer himself, Mike Amiri and based on everyone who attended, Teyana clearly stood out from the crowd.
In addition to Teyana Taylor, Jordyn Woods was spotted in Paris wearing a $750 Brielle lace jumpsuit that was layered with a navy satin mini skirt. The best part of her look were her $972 Rene Caovilla metallic leather sandals that wrapped around her ankles.
We found an alternative style from Bloomingdales Aqua department that only retails for $118.00 and can give any look you opt for a similar aesthetic.

Another celebrity who turned heads, was Rapper Kashdoll who performed at a pre #BETawards event over the weekend wearing a coffee brown $1,395 LaQuan Smith Catsuit.

It’s no surprise that the Houston native continues to age like fine wine, and based on her and Jay-Z’s body language while on a lunch date in Nice, France last week, we can definitely see that the chemistry they share is far from Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ era.

The Queen B who has completely taken over Europe and the UK with her infamous Renaissance Tour, was spotted enjoying fun in the sun with her Hip-Hop bae of over 20+ years.
Of course she brought all the sass and took a chance on designer LaPointe in a white sheer body-con dress that had feather sleeves and made her look like a modern day roaring 20’s Mama Pajama.
Her partner-in-crime, Jay-Z looked like a walking Picasso in his $1,080 Jil Sander shirt that had the perfect makings for a day in France. He opted for cargo pants and white sneakers and kept his accessories to a minimum with a gold watch and gold frames.

In another shot, Beyoncé was captured taking a moment to smell red flowers and we’re happy to see her enjoying her leisure time when she’s not performing on stage.
Symbolically, as one of the hardest working women in the industry, Beyoncé deserves all her flowers as she relentlessly puts in that work, and is always looking to push the needle for the culture.

It was culture’s biggest night, and Boosie Badazz kept the drip cool and comfy in an Amiri look. Wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and shoes by the brand, the Youngest of da Camp rapper chose a bright red and white color palette to give this lowkey look a little more impact.
Wearing the $490 Amiri logo tee, Boosie nearly matched the red carpet. His red Amiri shorts picked up on the logo print on the white tee, and both colors were present in the red and white MA-1 sneakers he wore to finish the look.
Later in the audience, Boosie turned up atop seats to his iconic hit Wipe Me Down. So perhaps comfortable was the best choice for the night.
The king and queen of couple style, Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir, have blessed the Gram with yet another look at their symbiotic style.
On a night out, the flashy couple coordinated in yellow latex meets leather. Keyshia led her summer-forward look in a sultry direction, wearing the plunging Paris cup mini dress by Atsuko Kudo Couture Latex Design. She swept her black hair into two twisted buns, which she neatly styled with the yellow large beret, also by Atsuko Kudo Couture Latex Design. The businesswoman, mother, and model finished the look with the Versace Medusa Aevitas platform sandals and an equally bright Birkin bag.
Who knew that all you needed was cake mix and Pepsi to make the perfect full coverage foundation.
It is no secret that TikTok is the go-to source for trending makeup hacks and the latest trend is simply wild and out of this world. Apparently, people are making full coverage foundation from a variety of items that they can find in heir kitchen, and are labeling it, “jail makeup.”
Earlier this week, TikTok influencer, @Taylorbnice, took to the app to film a makeup tutorial of a routine that she claimed she used during her 17 years of prison. She then followed up with a caption that stated “#jk prison is not for me,” which was little conflicting.
In her TikTok tutorial, @Taylorbnice starts by using a container of flour as the base for the foundation and suggests that viewers can use cake mix, powdered sugar or any finely grounded white powder as an alternative.
To add color, she pours a cap full of Pepsi but advises to start with a small amount as too much can ruin the outcome. Throughout the clips, she continues to add more Pepsi to the mix.Once Taylor got the mixing consistency right, she added cocoa powder to give it a bit of a warm undertone.
She put her creation to the test by holding up her arm with her visible tattoo, and did a foundation swatch to show the full coverage and color match. Surprisingly the foundation matched her tone perfectly in one batch. Talk about amazing!
Taylor’s “jail makeup foundation” is just a fraction of the talent that women in prison possess. There are so many beauty hacks and trends that no one should never underestimate what they can learn from a woman in prison as they understand the innovative ways to feel and look their very best self.
Fashion Designer Cierra Boyd has created her own lane in the fashion industry with her brand, ‘FriskMeGood.’
Born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, Boyd always had a passion for fashion. With the support of her family, Boyd’s career took off in 2016 when her father gifted her a sewing machine. Since her first sale on the online site Depop, the self taught designer has been creating a new wave within the fashion industry by using upcycled fabric and vintage pieces to design unique pieces.
“I use to sew as a child, but growing up there wasn’t youtube to guide me so I gave up on it,” expressed Boyd. “Years later I picked it back up and that’s when I knew that fashion was my passion,” said Boyd in an interview with Fashion Bomb Daily.
Boyd’s first design helped her establish the motto ‘never give away your work for free.’ She explained, “I have never given away anything for free because as a designer, I know my worth.” With her first design, she used an old sewing pattern and although she didn’t know what she was doing, she saw the vision and has been attached to her sewing machine ever since.
“I sold my first design and was shocked it sold because it wasn’t the best,” said Boyd. “I realize that the people who see the same vision that you see with your designs, are your people and audience.”
Designing unique pieces for artist such as Keyshia Cole, Doja cat, and Ciara, Boyd realizes that her designs are important and can have an positive impact on the industry, “I started a sustainable brand unknowingly by using materials that I had around my house due to me not being able to afford fabric,” explained Boyd.
Despite starting with sustainable reworked designs, Boyd soon realized that her overall brand should be based on sustainability as she fell in love with reworking clothing. “As I started to grow, I was eventually able to afford the fabrics that I wanted, but in 2020 I made the decision to no longer buy fabric anymore,” Boyd further elaborated.
Known for her infamous sneaker corset design that has been spotted on celebrities like Cardi B and Dreezy, Boyd started designing her famous corsets in 2019. The idea actually originated from a design competition in Cleveland called, “Fashion Mania.”
As a contestant, was assigned a task to create something without using thread, and that’s when the famous sneaker corset was born. Boyd’s sneaker corsets have became an instant success and she’s been able to partner up with her favorite brand, Nike.
Although the Cleveland native has seen a lot of success over the years with her appearance on ‘The Hype’ on HBO Max, Boyd’s dream is to work with celebrity artist, Rihanna.
In fact, her design name ‘Frisk Me Good’ was inspired by one of Rihanna’s songs. In the future, she see’s Frisk Me Good becoming a million dollar company and a leading sustainable streetwear brand.
“My brand will not only be seen on Rihanna, but my brand will be worth millions,” stated Boyd. She also expressed how she wants to take her craft and expand it in the costume design field. “I would love to take on other projects outside of Frisk Me Good and I wouldn’t mind signing a contract as a costume designer on a television series,” she added.
As a self-taught black woman designer, Boyd has been through a lot within the fashion industry that has taught her many lesson, however among them all, one lesson that will stick with her forever is that “you never have to give your designs away for free and should always invest in getting your design in a showroom.”
At first sight would you splurge on a FriskMeGood custom piece?
As social media continues to push Barbie content ahead of Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated film dropping next month, Nicki Minaj is reminding us all who the OG Barbie girl is with the release of Barbie World, a collaborative bop made for the Barbie soundtrack featuring Ice Spice and Barbie Girl singer Aqua.
In the pink-filled visuals, Nicki Minaj and Spice are spitting bars in and outside of Barbie’s Malibu dream house, as seen throughout the many film trailers, in pink wigs, and of course, in true Barbie fashion, pink looks.
In one of the first scenes of the video, Nicki and Spice are riding through pink clouds on jet skis, their long tresses –in Nicki’s case, an extra long pink mullet, done by Arrogant Tae, of course, while Spice kept her signature ginger tone in long body waves– blowing behind them. Spice wore two pink-tone monokini and chunky pink platform sandals while Nicki zipped through the sky in an Emilio Pucci halter one-piece, Balenciaga shades, and a small Chanel vanity case.
Later on in the video, Minaj sports a pink knit two-piece by Paco Rabanne (Barbie fans know the iconic doll favours a little two piece) and Loewe D-frame sunglasses.
