Fashion for a cause is always on our radar, so when we heard about the Pocket Square Project, we knew we had to report on it!

Co founded by Attorney Dominique Price and Indiana University doctor Dr. Rachel Vreeman, the Pocket Square Project combines fashion and philanthropy, selling Kenyan made pocket squares with proceeds going towards clinics that lend support to children affected by HIV and AIDS.

Each pocket square is $20; clinics allow children to receive counseling, education services, and even fill their medicine. Eventually the program hopes to provide job training, primary care, and health services for other chronic diseases.

In addition to pocket squares, the website also sells bowties, and will potentially offer headbands for women in the near future.

The lovely Kerry Washington attended Baselworld rocking a Black and White dress from Giambattista Valli’s Resort 2016 collection:

The dress features a slight plunging neckline, and black floral pedals stitched throughout a sheer white panel skirt.

Kerry opted to ditch the pants that were shown with the collection and paired with black pumps.She looks hot! I always love her outfits.

It’s time for another #BombBlogger! And today’s highlight features the lovely Cortnie Elizabeth of Style Lust Pages!

I’ve been a fan of Cortnie for a while! I’ve followed her blog religiously and I’ve even watched her grow into a successful entrepreneur. Her handbag collection, coined as Love Cortnie, is a mixture of playful designs that help catapult any outfit to bombshell status. In addition, her personal style evolution has also been a joy to witness.

Cortnie manages to effortlessly slay while keeping her ensembles clean and simple. This fashionista is drawn to waist-cinching midi skirts, maxi dresses, tailored denim and (of course) bomb clutches! She’s also a fan of rocking bold accessories and her signature sunnies. And, I’m here for it all!

Khloe Kardashian sizzled on IG to show off her latest look for Kocktails with Khloe, rocking Christian Louboutin pumps with a $1,310 Mugler Cut-out asymmetric-hem crepe dress:The dress features cut-away shoulders, contouring seams and a slash at the waist that contains a 3D metal sphere. The November 1973 fashion show that took place at the Palace of Versailles is etched in fashion history—a moment that showcased the talents of designers of color including Stephen Burrows and the late Oscar de la Renta and also showcased the talents of black supermodels and icons Pat Cleveland, Bethann Hardison, Billie Blair, Jennifer Brice, Alva Chinn, and others. Robin Givhan wrote about the momentous event in detail in her 2015 book, The Battle Of Versailles: The Night American Fashion Stumbled Into The Spotlight And Made History. That book is now at the foundation of an upcoming HBO film by the same name, directed by none other than Ava Duvernay.

Details are still sparse right now, but anything that Duvernay has a part in is always fantastic! And the casting for this leaves so much opportunity for black models and actresses.
