The Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards went down last night with our favorite stylish actresses in attendance. High-fashion frocks, prints, bold colors, and lots of leg were on display.

Who had your favorite look at the awards show?
Major networks, NBC and ABC, come under fire for refusing to air Lane Bryant’s ‘This Body’ ad on television. The ad features plus size models Tara Lynn, Denise Bidot, Georgia Pratt, Precious Lee and Ashley Graham, the recent cover girl for the Sports Illustrated Swim 2016 issue.
Lane Bryant has made it their mission to empower plus size women. The commercial features women who confidently affirm what their bodies are made for. This body is made for: “turning heads,” “proving them wrong,” “love,” “rocking denim,” “style,” “living,” “getting it on,” “breaking the mold,” “starting a revolution.“
A spokesperson for Lane Bryant states that both networks, “rejected the spot as is.” NBC said it would need minor edits to meet “broadcast indecency guidelines. ” While Lane Bryant did not disclose what the edits were, they confirmed that there are no plans to edit and resubmit to the networks. The commercial will be promoted on their social media outlets and on channels that feel the ad does not violate their indecency guidelines.
ABC had no comment on the controversy but NBC denies the claims. “As part of the normal advertising standards process, we reviewed a rough cut of the ad and asked for minor edits to comply with broadcast indecency guidelines. The ad was not rejected and we welcome the updated creative.”
Lane Bryant is commendable for taking a stand for the everyday woman. The plus size community has been under represented until recent years. Campaigns like ‘I’m no Angel,’ and ‘This Body,’ promote a positive body image and gives a realistic view of what today’s woman looks like. What do you think? If Kanye West has an announcement to make these days he avoids the traditional path of press releases and interviews. The rapper turns straight to the masses in 140-character quips and unleashes his thoughts, welcome or not, on Twitter.
For the past week, Ye has been talking about fashion and his fashion week experience. In addition to addressing how his friends have been treated (he says the industry turned on Carine Roitfeld when she was fired from Vogue Paris; until now many believed the former editor-in-chief had resigned) he tweeted his own opinions of what constitutes modern style. A piece of your wardrobe that he isn’t a big fan of: your blazers.
Guessing we now know a piece that we will no longer see Mrs. West in anymore.

Sounds pretty appropriate for the times; in the past two years, leggings and yoga pants have really become a stand in for actual trousers though most of the fashion elite protest the trend.
But, the Atlanta-born lyricist just wasn’t talking personal style, he also shed some light on his own fashion trajectory. Amongst other tidbits, he revealed that Olivier Rousteing the designer of Kardashian-favorite brand Balmain, designed for the Yeezy line.
And it wasn’t only Rousteing lending his fashion cred to Yeezy according to the creative. Apparently Demna Gvasalia also played a part. Gvasalia shot to the forefront of the industry due to his work with Vetements but also just debuted his first line for Balenciaga. That runway show drew criticism due to its lack of diversity.
Today, the designer kept the tweets up revealing that there’s much more Yeezy in store. According to Ye’s Twitter account, we can expect a whopping six collections a year in addition to three albums.
Is the world ready for all of this Kanye West?! Guess we will have to wait to see.
A state dinner was held last night to officially welcome Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, his wife, and members of Canadian parliament to the White House. But of course, amidst all the light-hearted political banter and fine china, fashion didn’t seem to take a backseat at this auspicious affair.
Actress Blake Lively, accompanied by hubby, Deadpool star, and Canadian, Ryan Reynolds, wore a lovely Ralph & Russo spring 2016 couture silver wrap dress.
This satin dress emphasized the formal aesthetic, given the shawl lapel. But it still managed to ooze subtle sex appeal with cut-outs at the shoulder and a hint of leg. A matching sash accentuated the waist, giving Blake an enviable shape.
Choosing to forgo a neckalce, as pictured on the model, Blake opted for statement earrings, an embellished box clutch and nude Christian Louboutin sandals. Ryan Reynolds definitely kept up with his wife, looking incredibly dapper in a well-tailored navy Burberry tuxedo.
Just like Blake and Ryan, we’re all smiles for both their looks. Hot! The sheen, color, and fit of Blake’s dress compliment her frame so well. And the soft hair and makeup let her dress shine.

1) Cassie in Stello
The Perfect Match hits theaters today! And, honestly, I’m excited to see it! Earlier this week, the film premiered in Hollywood and leading lady Cassie was on hand in a shimmery gold number by Stello. Her dress features a plunging neckline, geometric detailing and a low-cut back. Hot!
2) FLOTUS Michelle Obama in Jason Wu
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama attended the State Dinner last night (honoring Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau) looking flawless! While the Commander-in-Chief rocked a sleek (and expertly-tailored) tux, the FLOTUS turned heads in a custom Jason Wu strapless floral gown inspired by prints from the designer’s Fall 2016 collection. She also uplifted soft curls metallic heels. I loved this!
3) Zendaya in Christian Siriano
Fashion favorite Zendaya Coleman slayed for the cameras as she rocked a Christian Siriano Fall 2016 chunky gray knit sweater and wide-leg pants. She also donned Karen Walker sunglasses and a playful, multicolored handbag. Sidenote: And, did you guys spot her stylist in the background slaying in Chanel?! Hey, Law Roach!
4) Ciara in Givenchy
Ciara and her boo Russell Wilson matched it up for Paris Fashion Week’s Givenchy Fall 2016 presentation! The cute couple wore all-black ensembles and looked absolutely amazing! But, CiCi was in a league all her own – the singer slipped into a sheer lace bodysuit, silk wide-leg pants and a matching tux-inspired duster coat. Werk!
5) Marjorie Harvey in Dolce & Gabbana
Street style pro Marjorie Harvey also made her rounds during Paris Fashion Week! The style enthusiast consistently served pure slayage with each one of her looks but this Spring 2016 Dolce & Gabbana frock was one of our faves. With a colorful floral detailing and tons of sheer goodness, Mrs. Harvey was an absolute vision. She accessorized with a pair of Christian Louboutin ankle strap pumps and a white polka dot blazer. She looks great, no?
6) Jennifer Lopez in Fausto Puglisi
Jennifer Lopez showed us how to work bubble gum pink as she tended to her weekly American Idol duties. The singer/actress dished up loads of glam in a Fausto Puglisi cutout dress which boasts a sleek silhouette and ample leg. Jenny topped off her look with shimmery pumps, a little blingage and flawless hair. This woman right here… lawwddd!
7) Selena Gomez in Ronald van der Kemp
And, last up, we have the lovely Selena Gomez! The starlet was spotted out and about while showcasing her enviable gams in a Roland van der Kemp Spring 2016 Couture black coat dress. The look feature a sultry thigh-high slit, a plunging neckline and a fitted waist. Chic sunglasses, black pumps and a a Louis Vuitton handbag completed her luxurious ‘fit. I’m here for it!

Signing Out — Esmesha
Puma has been focusing on the ladies for 2016, first by roping Rihanna in for a deal that’s seen her release her massively successful Creeper and a follow-up Trainer as well as design a full ready to wear collection. But now, the brand is readying to release it’s second huge female-oriented collaboration with none other than Kylie Jenner.
Today on Snapchat, the brand filmed backstage at what is presumed to be Kylie’s first shoot for them. The teen appears wearing a ton of body oil as well as sports bras, leggings and a pair of cute floral printed gym shorts. Nothing ground breaking but cute all the same.

For those who paid attention though, the brand hid their big news behind emojis and scribbles. In each shot, Kylie’s shoes were obscured from view but she was presumably wearing her collaboration with the sneaker company. To provide a teaser, the last Snap proclaimed “Coming 4.1.2016” with sneaker emojis beneath.
Guess we’ll have to wait until then to see whether all of this hype is just for a campaign or if Jenner’s first sneaker collaboration is on its way.
