The beautiful continent of Africa has been subjected to many stereotypes for centuries. Fortunately there are people dedicated to changing the narrative by providing informational resources for those looking to travel to the motherland. Jet Black is a budding travel company that focuses on tourism to countries that are often overlooked.
Jet Black wants the idea of traveling to Africa to expand beyond missionary and volunteer work. The goal is for the continent to become a primary vacation destination so that money can be put back into the economy. Their travel resources allow you to experience the beaches, nightlife, culture, history, food, spas and so much more. Consultations for groups, government officials, and individuals are also available.
The company was founded by Jessica Nambowa, a wanderlust who has visited 6 of the 7 continents. With over 60 countries under her belt, the travel noire decided to document her adventures on her blog The Catch Me if You Can.
We are definitely pushing Africa as a new vacation destination. What do you think? Will you be exploring Jet Black’s services?
Happy Friday everyone! I happily welcome this weekend with open arms! Also with open arms, I’m welcoming our Bomber of the Day, David from Boston:
He says, “My name is David Lowe and I am a senior at Boston University. I am from Georgia but currently attend school at Boston University.”
“I enjoy playing around with color, various style and proportions regarding menswear.” “I don’t have a signature style as I love to jump anywhere from sartorial tailoring, to street wear all the way to collegiate style with preppy tendencies.”
“With fashion. I think it is great to evolve and constantly try new things as fashion is fun and a wonderful form of expression. “
“I was fortunate enough to be featured in the past. Hopefully these new pictures show another angle of my style.”
“Thank you for your blog and giving me the fashion news that I love.”
Cool style! I like your versatility, and you definitely have some cool outerwear going on (which is a necessity for Boston). Check David out on IG @doublelowe7. What do you think of his style?

Olivia Palermo was snapped at the New York premiere of new film Miles Ahead. The stylish socialite opted for a casual look, despite some priceless date night accessories: her Birkin and her hubby Johannes Huebl. Somewhat on the lower end of the retail spectrum: Olivia wore this $120 Topshop Embroidered Reversible Bomber Jacket.
Topshop took cues from the Louis Vuitton and Gucci runways and concocted this trendy, Asian influenced piece. This reversible satin bomber features a black side and a blue side, each showcasing a bird and tiger embroidered on either side on the jacket, and a stunning display at the back. She continued the embroidered motif by siding into an $802 pair of Alexander McQueen Embroidered Flower Loafers.
Throwing subtleties to the wayside, this opulent loafer has floral embroidery covering goatskin leather: all in a smoking slipper silhouette. Olivia has definitely mastered the art of dressing up and dressing down. From gorgeous gowns to jeans and a jacket, she proves that glamming up isn’t only exclusive to wearing designer dresses. Hot! The colors and striking designs add some flair, and made what could have been a humdrum look, exciting.
What say you? Are you feeling Olivia’s look?

Over the past few months in particular, she has been rocking the hottest designer threads, tailored to perfection, as she has made huge appearances for Fashion Week, in other countries and of course, the announcement of her huge engagement to Russell Wilson.
The goodies singer has come a long way from her earlier days on the scene:
It felt like for a lot of her younger days, we’d either get Tomboy Ciara, or then the remixed girlish version that featured a LOT of bodycon dresses with sweetheart plunging cuts….Sigh. Well, the style began to include a few more figuring flattering looks, and so began the evolution into what we see today.
We’ve seen her take on a whole new level to her looks lately, encompassing motherhood, rocking her beachy blonde waves and showing off her enviable shape in designers such as Givenchy, Emilio Pucci, Lanvin, Alexandre Vauthier, Versace and oh so much more! Check out our curated gallery, where we walk you through Ciara’s style evolution over the past few years and let us know what you think!
Her coveted shades boast a bold browline, retro-inspired styling, and a full-coverage silhouette.
Khloe’s piece looks like a slight riff on the Spring 2016 design, as seen in the small difference in collar.
Her mini-crossbody stingray bag features the iconic French fashion house’s metal logo lettering at the flap front, a zip pocket at the gusseted front, polished hardware, an adjustable flat leather strap, and a push-lock closure. Here’s the classic leather version.
Hot!
Khloe’s jacket isn’t up for grabs, but you can get her shades here and her bag here.
Her dress is inspired by those classic Star Trek numbers and 60’s Mod style. It features a print influenced by the skin of a Honduran milk snake, long sleeves, a crew neck, A-line silhouette, and mini length.
