It’s time for another #BombBlogger! And today’s highlight features the lovely Cortnie Elizabeth of Style Lust Pages!
I’ve been a fan of Cortnie for a while! I’ve followed her blog religiously and I’ve even watched her grow into a successful entrepreneur. Her handbag collection, coined asLove Cortnie, is a mixture of playful designs that help catapult any outfit to bombshell status. In addition, her personal style evolution has also been a joy to witness.
Cortnie manages to effortlessly slay while keeping her ensembles clean and simple. This fashionista is drawn to waist-cinching midi skirts, maxi dresses, tailored denim and (of course) bomb clutches! She’s also a fan of rocking bold accessories and her signature sunnies. And, I’m here for it all!
Slay on, hun!

The November 1973 fashion show that took place at the Palace of Versailles is etched in fashion history—a moment that showcased the talents of designers of color including Stephen Burrows and the late Oscar de la Renta and also showcased the talents of black supermodels and icons Pat Cleveland, Bethann Hardison, Billie Blair, Jennifer Brice, Alva Chinn, and others. Robin Givhan wrote about the momentous event in detail in her 2015 book, The Battle Of Versailles: The Night American Fashion Stumbled Into The Spotlight And Made History. That book is now at the foundation of an upcoming HBO film by the same name, directed by none other than Ava Duvernay.
Details are still sparse right now, but anything that Duvernay has a part in is always fantastic! And the casting for this leaves so much opportunity for black models and actresses.
