Australian Fashion Week is underway and Emma Mulholland’s Resort 2017 collection was truly out of this world. It was all about intergalactic motifs and alien-laden designs—fun and playful pieces that were definitely made with street style snaps and Instagram posts in mind.

The assortment was brimming with glitter and sequins and gave an undeniable nod to Star Trek, as well as the late David Bowie’s iconic alter ego Ziggy Stardust. A model in a club-perfect, pink and silver embellished jumpsuit with a face adorned with glitter gave the Vulcan salute at the end of the catwalk—a topical choice given the fact that the saga’s next film hits theaters in July.

Accessories were just as funky and standout as the clothing: metallic, platform boots, alien antennae-inspired headbands, retro-inspired shades, and colorblock shoulder bags. Wigs were aplenty and overflowed with color.

This is fashion for the daredevil who likes to have fun with her style: the only thing the Emma Mulholland girl takes seriously is enjoying herself and her clothing. Fresh, eccentric, unique—we definitely have our eyes on the brand. And three years after its Australian Fashion Week debut, we think Mulholland’s star is poised to shine even brighter in the seasons to come.

Hey everyone! We’ve hit midweek and the Bombshells have been serving up! Let’s check out today’s Bombshell, Saniia from Philadelphia:
She said, ” Hi, my name is Saniia Lynch.”
“I am 21, from Philadelphia, PA and I now live in Atlanta GA studying fashion and merchandising at Clark Atlanta University.”
“My style is however I feel that day: I can feel like wearing patterns and colors one day and all black the next.”
“I like to be unpredictable and spontaneous.”
“My favorite fashionistas are Rihanna and Gwen Stefani.”
Okay Saniia! You’re definitely a pretty girl who likes to wear things to show off the silhouette! Unfortunately, her IG is under construction after someone hacked her account. Poo. Nonetheless, what do you think of Sannia’s style?

This summertime white bandage dress features a sleeveless cutaway design with side slits and matching shorties.

Summer is on it’s way which means it’s time to pull out the muscle tee’s and tank tops. Make a loud statement with today’s Bomb Product of the Day, Chokolat Creme’s $23 Free Mind Muscle Tee:

The casual, black, sleeveless shirt is made of 95% Rayon and 5% spandex. Because the tee fits loosely, it would look perfect with a pair of boyfriend jeans and single sole sandals.

Definitely a shirt for the thinkers and dreamers. Love it!
You can purchase the Free Mind tee here . What do you think? How would you rock it?

One of my favorite mediums for finding new content is Youtube! But, as an avid Youtube AND beauty junkie, I constantly find myself dismayed by the constant lack of brown girls in beauty circles on Youtube. A few years back, I stumbled on one Youtuber, however, who has since blossomed in more ways than one: Jackie Aina.
Jackie Aina is not only a beautiful woman of color on the outside, but she radiates warmth and personality in every video she makes. Not only does she make you feel at home, but she uses her expertise to teach you about skincare, current products that are worth the splurge, proper makeup applications and everyday makeup hacks to look flawless every time!
A Youtuber with over 700k subscribers (I was following Jackie back when she had only 35k), Jackie is now a woman who can be seen working with big brands like Loreal, spotted on the video channels of Refinery29, be a Youtube Change Ambassador (working for women’s and minority rights) and just constantly being a fresh face in the world of beauty.
She can show you how to make your makeup work for you, that brown girls don’t have to shy away from bright colors, and how to FIX YOUR LIFE while offering insight form the things she’s learned. I have definitely learned a thing or two from Jackie, even if it’s just to be relentlessly fearless in my goals and aspirations as a woman of color in this industry.
Some of my favorite videos of Jackie have included her How To guide for color correcting (which can definitely get tricky when you’re browner hued):
Her video on beauty trends we NEEDED to ditch in 2015 (and I promise you, I literally laughed till I cried first time I saw this):
And even just her everyday makeup tutorials, where she shows you how to replicate celebrity looks. Here, she recreated Rihanna’s flawless makeup look from Black Girls Rock 2016:
Perhaps you’ll join her Youtube sisterhood and get on board the Jackie Aina train! Check out her Youtube channel: JackieAina. So that’s why this beauty is our Beauty Crush Wednesday. Is she yours?

Priyanka Chopra promoted hit TV show Quantico at the 2016 ABC Upfront in a Dion Lee Tan Braided Suede Dress:

Priyanka swapped in silver pointed-toe pumps for the runway’s strappy gold sandals.

This $142 House of CB Alanis Copper Vegan Suede Sleeveless Dress is a similar style in a deeper brown.

And this $68 Peace + Love Faux Suede Zip Detail Pencil Dress is also a great option.

Not too keen on the shoe choice here, but the dress is fab. And that face? Priyanka is stunning!

Cuba is literally about to be the place to go for Summer 2016 (hey, a girl can dream, right?).
Although we saw sneak peeks of celebrity privilege long before the recent border openings, we’ve definitely seen an influx in Cuban love from celebrities looking to get over into the festive streets and bask in the ambiance of Cuban culture.

Needless to say, Cuba has become a huge destination for everyone looking to get a little sun, have a lot of fun, and immerse in another culture that, for so long, was removed from American politics and opportunity.
Stars, like Carmelo Anthony, Rihanna, Usher, Marjorie Harvey, Ludacris, and even the First Family have taken advantage of the vast riches of Cuban life and culture.

But let’s see whose been to Cuba and exactly what they wore (maybe you’ll grab some style inspiration for your upcoming trip).
Have you been to Cuba? We want to see! Send your flicks in to submissions@fashionbombdaily.com for a chance to be featured in our Cuba special-edition feature this week!
Paz y bendiciones (Peace and Blessings)!
Sultry songstress Jazmine Sullivan performed at Bally’s Rodeo Drive in the brand’s $950 Parvia Leather Sandals and a $450 DKNY Gold Pleated Skirt:

The gold, polyester, pleated skirt has an elastic band at the waist and a concealed zipper in the back.

The metallic silver leather sandals have a contrasting gold heel and crystal embellishment on the toe strap. The heel gives an illusion of a stiletto from the side, yet has the stability of a chunky heel.

She completed her ensemble with a white DKNY button down shirt, a Bally belt and clutch.

Werk Jazmine!
If you’re prepared to splurge, you can purchase the DKNY skirt here for $450 and the Bally sandals here for $950.
What do you think? Would you splurge on this look?

Angela Simmons donned the classic color combo of black and white for her latest snap on Instagram. The beauty was outfitted in white distressed jeans, black patent leather pumps and a $398 DKNY Fall 2016 ‘Dazed Kids New York’ Oversized Scuba Sweatshirt:
