Since his inauguration as creative director for famed French fashion house, Balmain, Olivier Rousteing has proven how much of a mainstay he is in the fashion world. From collection after collection of ornate mini dresses and gowns decorating the bodies of Hollywood’s elite fashionistas, to his successful collaboration with fast-fashion retailer H&M, time would only tell where Rousteing’s fervor for design would lean toward for his next passion project.
Well, all sports enthusiasts on the hunt for new work out essentials, or those trying to look as kool as a Kardashian-Jenner on a day off, needn’t look further than NikeLab’s upcoming collaboration with Rousteing: Football Nouveau collection. With current fashion trends skewing more athletic, summer European football championships on the line, and Rousteing’s genuine love of football, this marriage of creativity and innovation of Nike’s Summer of Sport series couldn’t have happened at a better time.
“Fashion is usually about the catwalk and the glamour, but with Nike it was about performance and the athletes,” Rousteing notes. “What I love about this collection is that we are integrating the iconic style of football into sport style.” Affirming that statement, a campaign for this collection was shot by renowned photographer Nick Knight and features European soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
In true Rousteing fashion, the collection delineates an air of luxury as black athletic jackets, tee shirts, shorts, and cool sneakers are peppered with subtle gold stripes, piping, and embellishments, perfectly meshing function and style.
While no word on the cost of the collection has been released, it’s set to launch on June 2nd on nike.com/NikeLab and select NikeLab stores. But until then, you can check out a few pieces of the collection below.

What can we say? Celebrities love matching print suits!
Whether donning a pantsuit with a crop top for summer vacation or getting your ‘Gucci’ swag on, we’ve seen the trend elevated and expanded over the past couple of years both on and off the runway.
The coolest thing about this trend is it can be as big and bold as you’d like. For the timid and shy at heart, you can pop on a neutral printed suit or a white suit with some floral detailing. For the wild and free, pop on those bright shades and tantalizing prints to make a statement!
Time after time we’ve seen designers tackle the trend on the runway, but now we get to see how any and everyone can rock it in their own, unique way.
So what do you think? Can you rock this trend this Spring? Check out our gallery where we’ve curated 25 times celebrities popped out in prints!
