Actress Paula Patton beamed on the red carpet during the London premiere of her latest film, Warcraft: The Beginning. A far cry from the green-skinned, battle clad Garona, the warrior heroine she plays in the movie, she showed off her newly toned physique in a $2,781 Maria Lucia Hohan Peach ‘Aveny’ Dress:
Paula’s silk tulle midi dress features intricate embroidery applied to the corset structured bodice. Spaghetti straps support the bust and skin tone tulle inserts enhance the waist. Not only does the color compliment Paula’s gorgeous skin tone, the dress shows off her sculpted frame and toned biceps. Talk about gun show! While she looks stunning, do you think her dress is worth the splurge? Well, if you do, you can head over to Maria Lucia Hohan’s site and shop here. A side part, loose-shoulder length hair and soft makeup complete her look. What say you? Is her frock worth the splurge?
With the finale show of Britain’s Got Talent right around the corner, co-judge Alesha Dixon has been pulling out all the stops lately with her wardrobe. From Fausto Puglisi and Mugler to Sergio Hudson, she’s had an impressive season as far as looks go. For this week’s taping, she donned a $1,070 Dsquared2 Striped Elastic Bodycon Dress and a $1,039 pair of Pierre Hardy ‘Kaliste’ Sandals.
This Dsquared2 number features a racer front with multi straps crisscrossing at both the front and back. The full length two way front contrasting zip closure offers ease of entry and an additional pop of color. Front and back cutouts up the ante in terms of sexiness. If co-judge David Walliams is ogling her Pierre Hardy sandals, we can see why. Pierre Hardy’s ‘Kaliste’ sandals are made from black suede with bold yellow, pink and lilac leather straps, and are elevated with a 4.5 inch slick stiletto heel.
Many may deem the look too distracting given the onslaught of colors. Alesha has a complexion that compliments just about any color well, even if there’s an abundance of hues in one look. Bandage dress were big in their heyday circa 2007-2009. But Alesha’s take on an almost decade old trend is a bold one. Too many colors for my taste, this seems like more of a party look and not a semi-final look for one of the biggest shows on television. But, I’m here for her gold geometric earrings, bright red lip and cornrows.
What do you think? Is Alesha’s look hot or hmm… too distracting?

Usually a sought after muse to the world’s most notable designers like Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and Christian Siriano, it’s no surprise that Zendaya may have her fair share of haters. Her style is often lauded, yet sometimes criticized. Red-carpet hair debacles aside, it seems as though the starlet may be at the center of a new controversy.
Selected as one of Wonderland Magazine‘s cover stars for their summer issue, the singer and actress, shot by Petra Collins, wore a $1,315 Simone Rocha Printed Silk Mini Dress for the shoot. While her dress was the perfect choice given the natural lighting, soft makeup and flowing hair, quite a few onlookers think this shot was a bit suggestive. Seated in a chair with her head tilted back, some viewers commented the photo suggests the star is touching herself with one hand on her chest and the other holding her dress in place between her legs.
Well, Zendaya had a few choice words for her critics, and took to Instagram to share them.In a cheeky statement, Zendaya noted, “...I see what y’all saying by the hand placement lmao but that was not intentional you little pervs…” (Instagram)
Ha! We couldn’t agree more, Zendaya. The nineteen year old simply showed her humorous side making light of the situation, yet she doesn’t let negativity get the better of her. All in all, she looked stunning. Fifth Harmony was also on tap for Wonderland’s summer issue, hot off their amazing Billboard Awards performance as well as Top Model alum Winnie Harlow.
Gorgeous, ladies! What do you think? Is Zendaya’s cover shot too suggestive or do you think the issue is being blown out of proportion?
It was just yesterday that we were announcing Rihanna’s latest collaboration, a sunglass tie-in with the tony house of Dior. But the question on most of our minds is how? How does she stay so inventive, dropping products left and right? How does she do it all? Well now we have an answer.
Always only a social media post away, Rih Rih got the question of all questions from one of her fans that slid into her DMs. “Bruh how did you Come up with this idea?” the unnamed fan asked after sending a photo of the star’s Manolo Blahnik collaboration. It took 12 hours (almost to the minute) to get an answer, but one did eventually come.
According to a screenshot posted to Complex, the Bajan prince replied: “Whatchu mean hoe? A b*tch is creative.” And indeed she is. Boasting positions as the creative director of both Puma and Stance Socks as well as a collaborative ambassador role with Dior — not to mention her penchant to turn out whatever red carpet (or sidewalk) she happens to be on — the Anti star is the definition of creative.
But possibly more important than her creativity, in this exchange and in many others, Ms. Fenty displays one attribute that keeps us all coming back for more. Her realness.
What do you think? Is the good girl gone bad truly creative or is everyone crazy over the hype.
There’s no doubt that Prince had a huge impact on fashion. He was meticulous about his image, but whenever he was snapped throughout his almost forty year-long career, he was wearing something incredibly stylish and unique. Has any artist ever owned an entire color the way he has? Or made custom-designs as cool?
Well, if you’ve ever dreamed of owning something from Prince’s extensive and magical wardrobe, then here’s your chance. Select items that he’s worn and owned will go up for auction next month through Profiles in History. The motorcycle jacket he sported in Purple Rain, a pair of over-the-knee boots from his Love Sexy Tour, a white ruffled shirt from his Purple Rain tour, the pearl necklace from his Diamonds and Pearls video, and his Graffiti and Bridge cufflinks are all up for grabs. This is iconic stuff people!
The boots’ starting bid will begin at no less than $10K, but can undoubtedly go for much more than that. Consignment curator Raymond Janis spoke to Accessories Magazine about the specialness of the event: “It’s very rare to have Prince items come to auction. He was always very private and guarded of his image, and these are items that are coming to the forefront from charities or through people who were close to him. It’s very exciting.”
If you’ve never heard of Profiles in History before, they’re the leading dealer in authentic documents, historical autographs, letters, manuscripts, and vintage signed photographs. The company’s auctions have reached record-setting prices and they are also the largest auctioneer of original Hollywood memorabilia on the globe. The auction for Prince’s items will take place on July 1st.
Looking to place a bid? There are four ways: live at the auction house in Calabasas, California (we wonder if the Kardashians will make a bid), by phone, absentee bidding, and online through Invaluable.com which will also broadcast live video feed during the event.
If I only had the coins…
Thoughts on the news? If you could own one item from Prince’s closet, what would it be?
