Happy Wednesday! I’m bringing you dolls a little Spring style inspiration to add some flavor to your summer shoe game with a few ideas on how to slay an embellished heel.

Work a pair of white distressed skinny jeans with a simple black jersey tank top.

Brighten things up with a blue double-breasted blazer, sassy multi-color lace-up sandals, and a vibrant wide-brim fedora.

Opt for an off-the-shoulder poplin top and a pair of cuffed denim shorts.

Get fancy in a pair of mink-trimmed sandals, a monogram Gucci shoulder bag, and cat-eye tortoiseshell shades.

Dress up a black and white look with an ‘Underwater’ lace-up sandal adorned with floral and coral appliques.

A neon bag gives the look that extra pop of color while square-framed sunglasses and a bold leather cuff adds a chic twist.

Top a pair of heavily distressed denim shorts with a blush pink ribbed jersey tank and white longline blazer.

Rock the look with a tassel and fringe embellished suede heel, leather handbag, floppy brim fedora hat, and gold jewelry.

Let your shoes do all the talking and dress up in a white tank midi dress uplifted by a pair of multi-color neon strap and seashell embellished heels.

Complete the look with a neon orange clutch, over-sized sunglasses, and simple jewelry.

Ciara was easily one of the best dressed at the 2016 CFDA Awards! Her blush pink Roberto Cavalli dress was so chic—stylist to the stars Cesar Ramirez used its bohemian-inspired vibe as the starting point for her free-flowing waves.

“I was really inspired by the bohemian feel of Ciara’s Cavalli dress,” said Ramirez. “I also wanted the hair to match the bohemian look, so I kept it soft and just added a different texture then our usual styles.” Here are the steps to recreate her look:

1. Cesar started on dry hair and parted it in four sections. He then lightly sprayed $17 MIZANI HRM Humidity Resistant Mist on each section.

2. Next, he braided each section and flat ironed the braid. This created texture and a slight wave.

3. Once Cesar had the texture he wanted, he then tucked and pinned each side behind each ear—leaving a small section of hair in front of each ear.

4. To set the look, he added more HRM spray for a light hold.

Mel B. showed off her gorgeous figure as she headed to the Jimmy Fallon Show wearing a Laquan Smith Fall 2016 blue and silver midi dress:

The long sleeve, sheer, navy midi dress features a light pattern with a silver undertone.

Mel went for a nude bodysuit, nude heels and tight ponytail.

Another night, another awards show! As the fashion industry came down from its CFDA Awards high, Glamour took the reins across the pond for its 2016 Women of the Year Awards.

Let’s see what the ladies (and one gent) wore, shall we?

Kourtney Kardashian smoldered in a red embellished Julien Macdonald dress with a plunging neckline and sheer panels. She’s never looked better!

Rochelle Humes tried on the slip dress trend for size, clad in an olive style with black lace trim. She’s always stunning.

An electric yellow mini dress with black croc trim and cutout detailing was on the menu for Naomie Harris. Hot!

Alesha Dixon sported a $138 Mini A-Line LBD from her very own Little Black Dress collection. What’s not to like?

Fleur East cinched her blue, ruffle-accented dress at the waist—anchoring the look with white pumps. On the fence about this one…

Neelam Gill looked every bit the model in a tangerine-hued gown. Pretty!

The CFDA Awards are known to most as the Oscars of the fashion industry. And though they are in for a bit of competition with the impending revamp of the British Fashion Awards, for now, they are arguably the most important fashion awards on the calendar.

This year’s event, hosted by Joel McHale, had not only a dinner but Jennifer Hudson as a special performance. Oh, and less we forget, there was the surprise appearance by Beyonce who picked up the Fashion Icon Award, a mere two years after Rihanna snatched the same honor.

Bey’s speech was heartening with the star tracing her connection to fashion back to her grandmother who became a seamstress to put Momma Tina through Catholic school. The most interesting thing? Beyonce did take the moment to check the industry saying, “When we were starting out in Destiny’s Child, high-end labels didn’t really want to dress four black, country, curvy girls.” She went on to encourage the industry to remember diversity. “I encourage you to not forget this power that we have or take it lightly. We have the opportunity to contribute to a society where any girl can look at a billboard or a magazine cover and see her own reflection.”

So, true story: I go downstairs to take off and run the streets for a little bit, and (to my surprise) I’m greeted by a flat tire on my car. Uggghhh! So, after mumbling under my breath for a little bit, I finally called Roadside Assistance and proceeded to move on with my day. That’s life for ya, right?! Gotta keep moving!

But, despite the unexpected circumstances, I’m absolutely thrilled to bring you guys another installment of our Bomb Blogger feature. So, join me as we indulge in the flawless musings of Kayla Stamboul of Kaylista!
