Take a gander at today’s Bombshell, Taviana from Detroit, Michigan:

She says, “I’ve been going back and forth with submitting my photos, because I was nervous about it.

” I’m a student at Wayne State University studying Fashion Design and Merchandising.”

” I’m working towards be coming a personal stylist, my look is very unique, simple, sexy but fun and affordable.”

” [Simplicity] is sometimes bliss.”

“… to see some of my other looks you can me follow on twitter @tayglamourgirl….kisses ;)”

You have quite the Louis Vuitton bag collection! Love that pink shirt, and think most of your looks are adorable (though the long pant outfit would’ve been more flattering with a different shoe).
What do you think?

  1. Yeah cute girl, but I don’t see the unique look she speaks of. Its very common as a matter of fact and plain.

  2. These looks are dreadful. The shoes look cheap on film and an expensice handbag an outfit does not make. I don’t see anything unique and nothing that would make me remotely consider hiring her. No shade, but please don’t quit your day job. You have a great figure, perhaps you could look into something fitness related, perhaps even fitness modeling.

  3. What I can say is whats bomb is her body in the coral/orange tank n skirt…..and bright color look really good on her! shes a cute girl…oh, I kinda like the jean shorts and blazer look.

  4. Very basic style not the worst I’ve seen on FBD. Jasmine before going in on someone make sure to proof read. Thats all!

  5. Her face is beautiful and her body is on point..BUT some of the outfits scream cheap(just because its cheap dosent mean it has to look that way)…I do like the forever 21 skirt I have the same one and the way she styled that particular outfit that allowed her killer shape to shine. The candy striped top outfit was cute as well

  6. The denim blazer and shorts duo look is SUPER cute! The other looks aren’t as polished. But nice try!

  7. Not the worst, not the best. The short looks were basic, everyday girl in the neighborhood. The pants were too baggy down by the shoes. Tailoring would have solved that. I won’t say she needs to give up on her dream (cause that’s horrible) but she needs to develop her eye and play out of her comfort zone [i.e. (Overly) Sexy].

  8. I only liked one of her looks – the bodycon skirt with the tank top, and let’s be honest everyone wears/has worn this look – it’s a cute choice but very basic…nothing “fashion bomb” about it, nothing groundbreaking or unique about it.
The outfit I disliked the most was the one with the jeans and that pink shirt (that shirt was awful and ill-fitting).

I found that a lot of her clothes/shoes looked cheap…. there is nothing wrong with shopping at department stores/forever 21/h&m (hell even rainbow -_-) but there is a way to do it and wear it without it reflecting in your style….basically, you can wear “cheap” clothes without looking “cheap”.
Sidenote: I find it hard to believe that she has this many real Louis Vuitton bags with her clothes and shoes looking that cheap…

  9. Designer bags do not a Fashionista make. That said @Camilla, LV are on the more affordable side of the luxury spectrum, so my guess is they’re real…but maybe she spent all her coins on those and saved on clothes.

  10. the way some of you guys talk about other peoples style of dress, you would think you were anna wintour herself, sheesh. I would love to see some of yall’s fashions, i really would.

  11. “yawns” Her looks are basic, nothing special here. I dont see where her style is unique, but i do see SIMPLE!

  12. I gave her bombshell status to because her style is inspiring, but because she’s in college doing her thing and making it work on a budget! If that isn’t bombshell worthy I don’t know what is..plus u people can be so damn brutal! Give the poor child a break..lol

    go girl!!!

  13. I’m so tired of people thinking that just because they have a name brand bag they’re some sort of fashionista. Sorry sweetie it takes effort.

  14. Taviana, come back when you’re 300 pounds, draped in a patched quilt with white or blue lipstick… Then you will score 10s all around the board. And if someone gives you other wise, they will be cyber jumped! lol

  15. I think the part that got me is not even the lackluster looks, but the audacity to speak of being a stylist with these submissions. This might work in certain parts of the country but bring this to NYC and LA and one would get a rude awakening. Do I say don’t follow your dreams, NO! But what I will say, is to be a stylist you must be innovative and have a fresh approach, know how to distinguish quality at every budget. I say buy a Vogue or Elle mag and get to studying. Good luck!

  16. Lol @SIncere! very well said. She’s a pretty girl but she is definitely not a bombshell. There is nothing inspiring about any of her looks. And i agree with a lot of the comments that her outfits look cheap.

  17. I don’t think that the bigger chicks get a “pass” on here. If the big girls get a pass than the “Mommy’s” get a pass too.

Let’s be honest, when you are on the bigger side you do have less options available to you (concerning where you can shop and brands that carry your size). As well, when your a Mom you may have limited time, $$ or maybe you need clothes better suited (more comfortable and practical) for the Mommy role.

However, this doesn’t mean that you get a fashion pass – style and good taste should and will reflect through your obstacles (not having many options, being a mom etc) however, I do believe some on this site are more lenient (less harsh) when voting. BUT I do not think anyone is just giving people “bombshell” status just because they are fat. Not to mention if you put the bigger ladies who were voted “bombshell” up against the smaller ladies who were voted “bombshell” I am almost positive these ladies would not pick the bigger candidate.

That being said, when you are smaller (especially with a great figure) not to mention IN SCHOOL FOR FASHION – expectations will be higher and people will want to see this in your reflected in your pictures.

Whether this girl was 300 lbs or not, her fashion sense is lacking and her taste really isn’t that great. No style is no style.

  18. @ Camilla I agree with some of what you say, but come on, some of these comments are extra nasty for no reason. The girl from yesterday looked hella cheap,(I didn’t say anything) but I didn’t see the quality of her clothes mentioned! But yesterday’s BS was all over the place and people where giving her two snaps and a circle, when she looked not so good! I don’t understand! I see this all the time! There are nice clothes for plus size women… But I see the majority of the ones trying to look “trendy” and fail, get all the praise…Trendy is not for everyone, fat or skinny..Maybe because I’m older, but I see the cattiness..

  19. Im from Michigan Detroit to be exact. Most girls from here (excluding myself) dress like this, it’s a lack of individualism. They all do that pose too they call it the “bad bitch hand”, and they all carry Louis V purses too. A lot of people here are more interested in the prices of things than being unique. Basic style. Not a Bombshell.

  20. I’m not sure how weight got into this, but I will say personally that I see many plus sized fashion bloggers, style wise, than put some of the skinny mini’s to shame, lol. I don’t think throwing on a bodycon or an expensive bag, or red bottoms equates style. More times than not, its just carbon copy fashion.

  21. Yikes! I knew after I saw the submission what the comments would be like. I definitely agree with some of the previous statements in that she’s in college and making it work for her. Kudos to you for sure! In the same respect, when you’re on a budget, there are affordable ways to look unique. For example, thrift stores and consignment shops offer affordable pieces that at one time were expensive and still give the expensive feel.

Pretty girl, but I wasn’t inspired by the look. It just didn’t scream unique.

  22. Cute girl. Still very young and trendy .She just has to refine her style a bit more . People can be so harsh. Everyone was young once, we all had to figure it out. No one just hopped out of the womb slaying. And she’s working toward (key word) becoming a stylist. Follow your dreams mama!

  23. She looks good to me. The outfit with the long beige pants was the only one I didn’t like the rest were cute.

  24. Sidenote…I dont know what happened in the last year or so but for some reason the comments have gotten brutally harsh. Its one thing to not like the style, but there are better ways of expressing it. Try offering CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Its not necessary to just say mean spirited things. Sometimes I feel the people that post cruel things personally know the people who submit and do it just to bully. It takes courage to submit your looks to a website that reaches the world. We must do better as women. Just my thoughts.

  25. Indigo, I feel what you are saying and honestly I wasn’t just addressing you. I have seen a lot of “fat girls get a pass” comments on here.

Concerning the bombshell yesterday – I think the cheapness of the clothes was not mentioned as much because everyone was going in on all the crazy patterns.

Also, I hate to say this….but if you read through the comments…..you will notice most of the positive feedback are from her friends…..

I think 90% of the FB readers agreed that she was not a bombshell.

  26. Wait just a minute. Are those moccasins she’s wearing with those black pants? For real? That makes me very sad. I am in love with the pink top in the last picture, though I think different shoes wouldve done the trick. That pink top is cute though!

  27. I think she has potential to kill the game she just need to tweak and create a more original style. Body on point, looks together, and love for fashion is there so boom!

  28. She has a lot to learn about fashion, starting with that pose, but a lot of potential.

  29. Also, I can almost guarantee that people who submit their photos on here have read these comments on other submissions and know how it gets on here.

I do think that some people are overly harsh – I don’t think a persons looks should ever be address or torn down on a fashion bomb submission – WE ARE HERE TO DISCUSS FASHION LADIES!!!

BUT – if the candidate has no style, clothes look cheap, bad taste, etc -welll….. these are all things I feel are free game to speak on. Ugly shoes are ugly shoes.

As nice as constructive criticism would be or “giving” out tips….that’s not really the readers job – we are here to vote and voice our opinion on the submission…. that’s it.

  30. LOL, this is just awful. I see no fashion present and there is certainly no style either, smdh…

  31. I think that her looks are effortless and look very basic with no thought and no style. I also think that all submissions are sent in with fair warning about ppl and their comments. In the fashion world there are no gentle or soft answers. In this world you must have thick skin, the comments left on this website should be inspirations and should prepare all candidates for the real fashion world. Nothing in this world is handed to you, there is always a learning process and and in order to become something great you have to endure some things. So by no means am I saying give up on your dreams, but you will have to work harder and make better purchases if you want to receive any type of recognition in this game.

  32. Her style is not the best but it’s not the worse.. no she’s not a bombshell..

  33. @May2012, “excluding you” please don’t pigeon hole us all into groups of women with CityTrends fashion cents. We all (WOMEN from Detroit) don’t dress like that or carry fake Louis Vuitton. She is young, trendy and fun and figuring out her STYLE. She doesn’t have her boobs or ass out in every picture so if anything I can say its tasteful. Not my cup of tea but I’m not mad at her either.

  34. Cute girl, but her style doesn’t really inspire. She looks cute for a girl in college, but honestly, I expected more from a fashion major. Some items were cute though (like the Jean blazer!)

  35. I definitely commend anyone who puts themselves out there to be critiqued on this site but I have to agree with the general consensus in that she needs to be a little more creative and innovative to be considered stylish or fashionable. If being a stylist is her goal then she needs to educate herself as to how to put together a polished look at all price levels. There’s nothing wrong with including a purse/bag to accent your outfit but the LV bags just don’t add anything here.

    Just my $.02

    PS-

  36. The comments are cracking me up. I do agree she has to polish her look. Also, try a different pose. All of your poses are the same.

  37. @Ashley Moniq if it don’t apply, let it fly. My opinion. I should have used a better choice of words. MANY young women from here embrace this look whether you admit it or not you know it’s true. Those that are not very cultured. But! Many women also embrace their own personal style here also. I would not go as far as calling her Louis V fake and saying she has CityTrends fashion SENSE though.

  38. I just can’t get over the tied blouse look! I wear it with certain shirts, but not every single blouse i put on… Cute nonetheless…..

  39. @Ashley Moniq As my dad always says if it don’t apply let it fly. I should have used a better choice of words. MANY young women who are not cultured dress like that here. That doesn’t have anything to do with the women who do embrace their individualism and personal style. I would not go as far as saying she has CityTrends fashion SENSE or her LV bag is fake though bit harsh.

  40. I like her style in terms of practical everyday looks. The shorts outfits and the printed skirt are things I could definitely see me wearing in my everyday lifestyle. I do think that she could afford to branch out and take more chances especially considering she is looking to make fashion her career.

  41. Eeesh you people are mean and heartless. If you want to criticize, say it in a way that you won’t destroy someone’s feelings. Say it constructively!

  42. It’s amazing what some of you ppl have to say about others. She’s a fashion student still finding her way and sense of style. I think she will make a wonderful personal stylist when her time comes and I think her style is cute and very her. I’d love to see half of you all commenting actually submit your pictures on display. You go girl and much luck to you and your dream keep it up!!!

  43. Expensive pieces do not make an outift. So if she decides to buy from Target, F21 or anywhere else doesnt make or break her outfit. She’s a cute girl still defining her look. Hence why she is still a fashion student.

  44. I love the looks!!I think if u work at it you will grow and learn new things everyday!Keep working hard at what you do! These comments are a bit harsh but u just grow from them!!muah

  45. GREAT body, and kinda boring style. Take these comments and get inspired honey!

  46. I agree with what @Mocha said, however, we’re meant to give our opinion. I do think people can be constructive and not cruel however. With that being said, I don’t think her style is really style yet. It’s definitely trendy, but her shape is beautiful. The coral tank and aztec print skirt is my favorite picture. The striped shirt look is also nice, however I hate the bra underneath. And I do think people think by having a Louis Vuitton purse, it shows your style. Unfortunately, it doesn’t anymore. I think the money used on those purses could have been used on something better. I will agree though, that arm pose is extremely annoying.

  47. I’m not a fan of her style. It really needs to be amped up several notches so it looks more pulled together and thought out. Beautiful girl, amazing body but the outfit execution does not read well.

Please look into more quality clothing items. No, it doesn’t have to be expensive either.. I’m in college too, I know how it is, but there are plenty of things that I bypass on the rack because it’s of poor quality or cheap or just basic looking. A college budget just means that you should think out your purchases more. I like the red striped shirt outfit but wrong bra.

  48. Baby girl I can see why you might have been nervous about submitting your photos, these people (viewers) on here are awful. I’m bet that there is not a single commenter on here who has got their “fashion game” totally together from head to toe every time they step out. There will always be haters/ and those that just don’t have anything else better to say but NEGATIVE words to others. As we all know fashion is something that is classified and looked at differently from every walk of life. So with being said keep doing your thing because your looks are cute whether you shopped at Forever 21 or Neiman Marcus, you do you at your cost!

Oh and since this “Camilla” chick got so much to say I would like to see what her definition of a “fashion bomb” is.

Oh and “friends” aren’t the only people who have nice things to say to others. Keep doing your thing because your going to always have somebody saying something, to me that means you must be doing something right. You only need to worry when you don’t hear anything at all!

  49. cute!..its funny to me how most of you not all but majority of you have some negative to say but yet I haven’t seen none of you guys photos on here lol so with that being said until you have the balls to place your photo on here then get back..but continue to do you taviana and to all you haters become BOOMSHALL

  50. cute!..its funny to me how most of you not all but majority of you have some negative to say but yet I haven’t seen none of you guys photos on here lol so with that being said until you have the balls to place your photo on here then get back..but continue to do you taviana and to all you haters become BOOMSHELL ;-)

  51. Ms. Tiffany say it girl and I totally agree I would looovvveee to see what her definition is a well because she not on here so it’s clearly can’t be hers lol haha

  52. Come on folks! We all know how it goes down in the comments so stop getting your panties in a bunch. Anywho she’s so darn cute, I just wished her looks matched her style. A cami or tank with an exposed -different color bra strap- is a pet peeve of mine. The denim shorts & blazer is confusing. I wonder where that was worn. The stripped chiffon top is cute, but the matching bag and belt killed the look. =(

  53. Well minus all the negativity, I enjoyed her style, its not bold or daring but its simple and cute which can also be stylish & fashionable she knows what works for her & she wears them well, Go ahead Girl Work your Runway!

  54. She seems like she is having fun, so I can appreciate that. She also wears clothes very nicely, however I’m not a fan of the looks and none of the outfits are attractive.

  55. @camillah you are in denial big girls get props here for just submitting their pics here. so lets be real. so i agree with indigo she knows wat she is talking about.

  56. Nothing really unique about it. This word gets tossed around way too much. But you are cute!!

  57. people have gotten ruder on FashionBombDaily because the audience has changed…when you have yard birds (chicken heads) clamoring for outfits that Draya and Emily B are wearing you shouldn’t expect them to be courteous and respectful.

yeah it’s judgemental, but its the truth. you can tell the crowd on the site changed when the mail bombs now feature ‘reality tv’ stars

  58. I’m from Detroit also and she is dressed like most young girls who follow trends and don’t set them…. That pose is not becoming. She’s a cute girl who doesn’t have style. My Opinion, not hate.

  59. Well I consider all the ladies below bombshells – since you want to know what my definition of a bombshell is….

    Delmy of FashionBananas
    Natasha of SnowBlack
    Folake of Style Pantry
    Tosha of BambisArmoire
    Jazzie McG

  60. Ms.TB-I hear you. I don’t think it’s been completely taken over, but there is a FB War going on…and it’s not civil.

  61. Pretty Girl, but she mixes the wrong prints, colors and LV bags (real or fake) do not go with anything. Yes they to can clash if not put together well. She does too much: Pic 1 – A blazer, with tied shirt, and cut offs, Pic 3 – a different top without the bow tie and a different belt would have been nice Pic 4 – Never stripes tied with crocodile and suede shoes NEVER Pic 5 – I think the top is cute but the jeans has too much wash for that top and suede boot maybe a basic black legging with a cute leather black bootie…Taviana is in school so they will teach her all fabrics and materials are for certain seasons and not to be worn all together. Good Luck in school I was a Fashion Merchandising Major as well.

  62. Sheesh…

Some of you people need to get a life. No need to go hard in the paint for a comment.

Everyone has to start somewhere and I think Taviana is starting off at a good level. Cute looks. You develop your style everyday, so go girl :)

  63. @Ms.TB ..preach!!!!!!!!!! but truthbe told, she should sell those LVs and buy better clothes…am still dumbfounded that she’s a stylist or she’s majoring in fashion or anything that has to do with fashion. yeah yeah she’s a college kid, on college budgets but if you look hard enough you can find better places to shop ie topshop, selfridge, zara, bamboo, and online boutiques that offers cute uncheap looking outfits. as for the shoes, if she can afford a 750 bag she can afford a good pair of 100 bucks shoes. has she ever heard of SALES!!!! before. am tired of chicks rocking expensive bags and cheap looking clothes. like someone stated expensive designer bag does not mean FASHIONISTA.

  64. Well first i must say i love the look! and she clearly states ” I’m a student at Wayne State University “STUDYING” Fashion Design and Merchandising. And “I’m working towards be coming a personal stylist, my look is very unique, SIMPLE, sexy but fun and AFFORDABLE.” I didn’t know affordable meant CHEAP. You learn something new everyday. Yes this look is whats trending but not everyone can trend. They don’t have the body or personality to dress in this particular style or they just simply don’t like this style for them selves. These looks fit you. Maybe you should try and dress someone else up and post the pictures. You might get another hit of “FASHION BOMBSHELL OF THE DAY” LOL. Anyhow i would love to see you grow more keep posting Taviana from Detroit!

  65. Girl, you are very cute and your body is very enviable. Very toned!
    That arm pose though…

  66. @Camilla who tends to write novels and has time to comment every five minutes, I would LOVE to see you submit your photos for Fashion Bombshell for people like yourself to rip them apart. Yes we are here to discuss fashion but we are not here to put down black women as you seem to enjoy doing. Your nasty and rude comments show what kind of person you truly are.

  67. Nice looks. Pretty simple and “matchy matchy” But great overal. I didnt notice “the arm” till someone said it. lol

  68. Preach @Can!…I like her style she is learning right now she is only in college people sheesh…as you grow your style grows…

  69. This is off topic but she looks fun as hell to be around. I had a friend that always made those hand movements usually when she during mid joke, or telling some crazy story. haha, but i like her style.

  70. I think the outfit with red striped top is adorable. But overall, its not the best I’ve seen, def not the worst. I think in a few years she will have evolved and will most likely make much better fashion choices. She’s a cute girl, and for what its worth at least she had the courage to submit her pictures. She’s a doll.

  71. I love her pieces. Her looks don’t have to be appealing to everybody, I’m positive that somethings we all wear are not appealing to others but its HER personal style.

  72. Ehhhhhh!! Fashion student?? In what world? Clownism? ……. *crickets*…… O okay!

  73. I’m very excited that I was the thursday featured bombshell of day, I am very appreciative of the positive and negative comments….kisses ;)

  74. Everyone’s fashion a critic but no one has commented on the “fashion” the girl has style. Beside, style doesn’t mean dressing eccentric. She just need to work on accessorizing. She has good choices of color, fit and appropriateness. I would have tailored the pants with the flats and did a pony tail with the pink shirt but all in all its good. THAT BODY IS ONE!

  75. was on bloglovin and stopped because I saw someone from my home state was featured… sigh. I always try to find the positives in all style and I have to say she has a RADIANT smile and seems like such a cool girl. However…. I think it may be best not to have replica purses showcased….. Im not going to knock her shoe choices because she is a student and well I have been tehre and at times still there but I am sure she had better looks to submit. Good luck with your studies and I look forward to seeing you in the fashion industry!

  76. Those bags were distracting. Just because it is designer does not mean it goes with everything.

  77. I think she’s a beautiful girl. She’s still young and should always be studying fashion since that’s her passion and always looking to evolve and grow in her style. Don’t be discouraged if you’ve read through the comments. A dream keeps you alive, let these comments (whether constructive or not) ignite that desire to work harder towards your dreams and don’t be discouraged. Much love.

  78. She has fashion sense but her look is basic. And a little bit of a label whore I could have done without the LV purses in every pic. Oh that blue blouse wit the black slacks look like something she threw on to look half decent for her office job. Still
A cute girl and cute hair

  79. STOP IT WITH THE KNOCK OFF PURSES .THE PURSES DID NOT HELP WITH THE LOOKS – THOSE BAGS ARE FAKE

  80. A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADI !!!! SHE IS DISPLAYING CONFIDENCE WHICH WILL ALWAYS SET HER ASIDE AS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. BUT, MA ENUFF ALREADY WITH THE FAKE LV BAGS .THOSE BAGS THREW UR LOOK OFF TOTALLY. FOR THOSE WHO OBVIOUSLY DONT OWN AN AUTHENIC LV- I UNDERSTAND U WOULD THINK ITS REAL…DONT BELIEVE ME JUST GO TO LV WEBSITE.IF ITS THAT SERIOUS TO YA
