Today’s Bombshell is Harvard medical school student Laura from Boston:

She says, “I’m studying to be a doctor, so a lot of my time is spent in class and in the hospital.”

“… When I’m in class I can wear styles that are a little bit more fun and casual – my go-to is skinny jeans or leggings and a comfy top.”

” Now that the weather is getting cooler my favorite accessory is a simple scarf. “

“When I see patients at the hospital or have meetings, my professional style is casual chic – I love a good pair of trousers and a great top.”

” I’m almost always wearing neutrals (it’s an addiction), but every now and then I will try to have fun with color!”

Will do! Smart and stylish, what a great combo:)

  1. Okay, I’m kind of obsessed with the first look. I had to comment twice. Love the black and the tweed jacket with the statement necklace. And the #5 and #6 look. I had to comment twice.

  2. I like it, simple and approachable. This is exactly what I imagine a doctor dresses like on her day off :)

  3. Very cute! She looks like she enjoys what she wears and isnt trying to be “IT/TREND” girl

  4. Very cute, simple, and classy. I just read her blog and the tweed jacket was $3.99 and thrifted!

  5. I love it her style is sophisticated, chic, and laid-back. It seems to total fit her personality and life style. Sometime style does not have to hit you over the head to be hot.

  6. Chic to the nth factor. People may call it basic but not everybody need to look a clown or wear everything that is in vogue and pile on tons of makeup to look like a bombshell especially not if you are a med student. I love the fact that she looks smart as we all know students who turn up to class in dirty pajamas.

  7. Oh and can we give endless finger snaps to all the bombshells out there working for their money, nothing more fashionable than an educated woman doing it for herself or a woman getting herself an education.

  8. Cute girl and style!! She dresses how I dress…very nice! Love the simplicity with an edge….you go girl!

  9. ok…I may be a little obsessed with her blog now…it’s so refreshing to see an intelligent and stylish young lady…

  10. She is G O R G! Her style is simple, refreshing and very much appreciated! Kudos to you doll and good luck with your career #bombshelloftheweek

  11. I LOVE her style. Fashion is not necessarily loud and flashy. When you have a more professional job this is how you have to dress. Chic and classic. And KUDOS to the fashionable Harvard Med Student!

  12. Where are her earrings? My mother would snatch her up for that..lol she looks great though, effortless…

  13. Great sense of simple style, like myself. She’s not over the top or looking like she’s trying to hard to exhibit “fashion.” I love her style!!

  14. Love her style, it’s simple and chic at the same time. She’ s beautiful, classy and she’s not triying to show something that it’s not true, she’s so cute…i like it!

  15. love it! its effortless and you can totally tell its her own style it works for her! simple yet chic.

  16. Love her! Smart and pretty… Her looks are perfect for med school and Boston. Congrats to you! I hope you’re becoming an OBGYN..we need more of those.

  17. Love it! Fashionable, cute, sweet….I feel like it matches her personality and represents who she is. Well done!

  18. Major kudos on being in med. school, she gets a nod just for that alone. Add to it the fact that she’s adorable and her style is cute, chic and completely approachable and I give her a 10. Love to see my educated sisters!

@ zimbabwechic- your first comment literally made me LOL, you are SO VERY RIGHT. Being a bombshell DOES NOT mean throwing on every damn thing in your closet at one time and calling it “trendy”, lol.

  19. best bombshell i’ve seen in quite some time. her look is classy and chic like others have said. i can relate to her addiction to neutrals, especially now that it is fall i have been living in beiges, greys, camels, etc.

  20. She’s adorable and chic. I love thie simplicity of her style and she definitely aware of what’s trendy without trying too hard. And the fact that she’s studying to be a doctor and she’s beautiful….YAY!!!!!

  21. Biggups to a fellow medical student! I love how polished her looks are. And, they all pass what we call, “The White Coat Litmus Test” ;-)

  22. I love the simplicity of each look! The past few bombshells were trying to hard, IMO. But less is more and easy does it= Effortless!

  23. A bit too simple for my liking. Very black and white…cute young lady, and she’s going to school to become a doc! That makes her a “bombshell” in itself!

  24. Very simple and sophisticated. I’ve been waiting for such a bombshell. I haven’t seen one in a while such eloquence. Kudos to Laura!

  25. Simple is always good. This is probably the most sophisticated “bomb” i’ve seen. Kind of surprising actually. Great pick Claire.

  26. I feel like it was all casual, I want to see more of how she dresses at the hospital. Other than that, its nice. Simple, but still makes a statement

  27. The style seems to be great for her. It’s simple and cute. I wouldn’t give her fashion bomb, but sh eis one of teh best i have seen in a few days. She plays it safe, but she does know how to throw in a nice pair of pance, a cute burberry print jacket, or a cute bomber jacket to make it more urban. Not crazy about her style, but it’s nice for her and it doesnt seem like she is trying to be trendy. i like that.

  28. So beautiful! Every look is so well put together. What an excellent array of trousers, too. That gold tribal-inspired necklace is perfection.

  29. LOVE! Definitely right up my alley with the classic, chic looks…less is more style! Best wishes in getting that medical degree, doll!

  30. Cute, simple and classic sometimes less is more besides your very pretty and your style is true to you. And you kind of look like Rachel Bilson…don’t know if anyone has ever told you that…lol but congrats on medical school

  31. I love the simplicity of her looks! although since she did a naked ear a simple necklace would’ve been nice.

  32. So, I’m going to add my voice to the chorus of positivity and say that I LOVE this girl! Ok, so I have spent the last hour, before writing this comment, overdosing on her blog, so maybe I’m a little biased now, but whatever.
Not only is she beautiful (yeah, I know it’s fashion blog, but come on now, she’s a stunner!) but she’s smart too! I feel the begining of a full blown girl crush commencing shortly.

  33. ADORE her. Her style is classic, simple, chic and nothing trendy but she works it. You can tell this is HER by the comfort.

  34. Go ahead girl and run the world! …A natural woman – chic, effortless… Her looks are applicable to ladies who might not have a lot of spare time to put too much thought into getting chic.

  35. I really like how she took a few simple pieces and mixed and matched them. She’s very clean and concise with her looks. Whoever said it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed lied.

  36. I REALLY like her look, but I would have loved it if she had incorporated a bit of edginess into her looks. I’m in med school as well, and I love it when I see people in the medical field step out with something unexpected. It’s SUCH a conservative field. It doesn’t have to be yellow lipstick or anything, maybe if she would play around with her jewelry a bit.
