Today we’re featuring personal style blogger Jewel from Minneapolis, Minnesota:

She writes, “I’m excited and somewhat apprehensive about submitting for Fashion Bombshell but I figure why not? Just do it, Jewel.. So here I am.. “

“My personal style is ever evolving.”

” I’m intrigued by different pieces for different reasons…”

“…and definitely depends on my mood.”

“…I started my blog mspchic.blogspot.com as a means to document my outfits and share my personal style with other style lovers.

I’m pretty limited with what I wear at my 9-5 job, so dressing for comfort is vital as well as wearing something I can transition into an after work meeting without having to go home and change.”

” Having a style blog allows me to think outside the box…”

“…and be more creative!”

Thanks for your submission! I like your black dress and your patterned top and jeans combo.
What do you think?

  1. Some cute individual pieces, but just seems like something is throwing off each outfit…she’s pretty, but I’m not really feeling the style.

  2. She has definitely got some style! I love the outfits from the third and fourth photos.

Kay– The hostility really needs to end! Not everyone has the same style, I see that you have no link connected to your name? In other words, you’re NO fashion guru yourself and your insignificant opinion isn’t needed.

  3. I see the potential. She has a great body most women want. She’s creative but the execution is off. Some outfits look borderline tacky. I bet as she matures, and her resources grow, her style will become more cohesive and elegant.

  4. I will say, she is one of the few “Bombshells” whose description of herself actually fits what we see. Not too boastful, open to interpretation, humble description.

  5. What’s happening fashionbombdaily? You guys haven’t been posting any inspiring bloggers lately………

  6. @ kiss my FASHION. Although I don’t agree with Kays statement…this is a forum for opinions so cutting her down and saying her’s doesn’t matter…..is sorta harsh. Girl, don’t stoop eye to eye with that…just saying. The FB is a cute girl! Noticing that ladies with these purses love to take pics with them often even if they don’t match…..anywho gotta get ya dollar’s worth! she’s cute.

  7. Everything doesn’t have to “match”, but everything does have to “go.” Alot of her stuff didn’t “go” together at all.

  8. She’s a very pretty girl. Some hits and misses but she has potential to be a fashion bomb. Keep working it Jewel!

  9. Nice shoe collection, but not crazy about the outfits.
@Karen I do see potential too, but I voted hits and misses.
Im hopefully that next week we will be seeing some real bombshells.

  10. Cute stuff. Nothing spectacular, but very easy. Not everyone has to dress crazy to be cute, but I don’t think this is worthy of a FB feature

  11. It seems like her outfits are not completely cohesive. There’s something a little bit wrong with most of the looks.

  12. She is a very cute girl. I can tell she’s younger and although I don’t like her looks as a whole put together, I can tell she just hasn’t refined her look yet, meaning she still doesn’t understand picking quality pieces to add to your wardrobe over pieces that just complete the look she was going for..but just my opinion. But do you girl!!

Side Note- I hope this doesn’t come off like I’m throwing shade..but if you need any help I live in the twins area as well, we could def go pick out a few new quality pieces within budget…

  13. I need to split the screen to analyze this…invest more in jeans those should be quality because they’re a staple.

I can’t even invest my time into this bombshell submission. It’s awful. The blue maxi made of granny’s curtain. The coach bag that’s falling apart. The oversized red clown shoes. The huge brown Birkin bag with the homecoming dress.

AHHHHHHHHHH I just want to scream its sooooo bad. Yesterday was better honestly.

Did you all hear me? Yesterday was better!!!

  14. Welllll, I agree with a few others. Almost every look and pieces that I liked indiviually but I would not have wore them combined in any of this ways.

  15. She’s just doing a bit much is all…nothing a little constructive criticism and editing can’t fix, I hope. I’m no expert but it seems everything, clothes and accessories are competing with one another. For instance the snake print skirt is the show stopper, lose the cardi, handbag and pink earrings you have a nice shape why not show off the skirt with a jewel tone blouse (the shoes are not my cup of tea but they could work with the skirt). Then there’s the one shoulder dress, I would have politely told you to sling that handbag in the grass get it out of the pic, you don’t need it. The value of that outfit increased when I just focused on the dress and shoes. She’s a pretty girl and the beauty of it is she’s still young so there’s time to evolve. I’m sure we could all check out a few photos from our past when we thought we were sharp as a tack and I’m sure “WTF was going on here??” would cross your mind…lol In conclusion, Jewel work on editing. You’ll be aight;)

  16. I like the necklaces she’s wearing and her peeptoes with studs on the back are just gorgeous. Are those from Sam Edelman? I think that here overall looks were ok. But as she said in her description; here style is ever evolving and having a style blog makes her think out of the box. Who knows what me see from her in the future..

  17. It looks like shes trying to find her style, which is a good thing, give it couple more years… she has a few cute pieces that I like here and there tho.

  18. the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th [i believe] are nice. she’s a pretty girl! but i agree, those red shoes do look a bit big on her.

  19. Cute girl. Nice shoes.
The “not good but better than yesterday” voting option was a super low blow. :(

  20. You know I have mixed emotions because she is cute but her style is HORRIBLE!! Sheash, the reason I have mixed emotions because I have seen other girls who’s style is not as bad as this young lady but they are not as cute. But the cute girl gets a pass because she’s cute. Which is probably why she thought she was fly enough to send in pictures. When I see people like this it reminds me of the horrible singers who audition for American Idol. I think, didn’t somebody tell this girl that these outfits are not cute??? Sheash. Sis this horrible. You may want rethink your fashion choices.

  21. Not a fan at all – red shoes look extremely big on her feet, not really feeling the hair either. Keep trying missy ;0)

  22. She’s a pretty young lady and I’m glad to see someone from Minnesota. It’s great to see that she overcame her fears and posted pictures. But, I feel as though there wasn’t a lot of thought put into how the pieces actually worked together. Some of the pieces were beautiful and could really change her styling if there was a different approach. For instance, the snakeskin printed pencil skirt is gorg..The cardigan sweater is too casual. I would have loved to see some color-blocking with just a simple fitted tee with a blazer for work and then adding some bold jewels afterwards when she’s hanging out in the evening.

  23. I actually like it. I’m not completely over the moon and skies about it but I like it. So .. almost bombshell x

  24. Cute girl…more attracted to pieces vs the full look. Although I do like the multi-coloured shirt (orange) and shoes look…also like the printed maxi skirt and the necklace, but not with that purse.

  25. pretty girl but her style is definately hits and lots of misses.. firstly th black dress looks very lovely -but with different shoes not those ones, also the statement necklace should be worn higher not with th chain all the way down, the jeans and printed top looks stunning, her bags are definately a no no the red top and tourqiouse maxi skirt and bla bag ..no..no..no , but nice try tho

  26. lol What was up with that soggy coach purse that didnt match n e thing she had on?!?! I feel every outfit does not need to include a purse. But I love her long sleeve power shoulder blouse and maxi skirt outfit

  27. I agree with a few of the other posters: (a) she is a very pretty girl, but (b) some of the stuff seems forced together, nonetheless (c) I see potential. My vote is hits and misses.

My favorites are her most simple ensembles–the pink hued one shoulder with jeans and spiked back heels and the black dress with the turquoise necklace.

  28. uhhhh…maybe they have a small selection of clothing options in Minnesota…tomorrow will be better *crosses fingers*

  29. You look good! Love your happy attitude. Reread the negative comments and use that to distance yourself from bitter black chicks. They are full of hate.

  30. Prom dress with a brown basic bag tho?? I hope she wasnt going anywhere nice with that on. Cute pieces, but not together. UGH Bombshell of the Day should be taken away. The recent selections have not been anything close to great!

  31. I know her personally and she dresses better than this. She is beautiful in and out. She must have been overwhelmed with the task of selecting the pictures to post on FB, so she decided to play it safe. There is nothing not to love about this young lady.
