Hey hey now!
Picking a winner for our ShopKlassiq.com Ekineyo dress giveaway is taking forever, so I’m bringing you our Bombshell, Damaris from Delaware, a little early:

She says, “I would describe my style as organized chaos because my style is really all over the place.”

” I could go very Rachel Zoe-esque with a flared leg, wedge and a fur vest, to very Rihanna with leather jackets, shorts and combat boots.”

” I don’t follow the trends I just do what works for me.”

“I love mix-matching prints and combining delicate/feminine pieces with rough boyish pieces.”

“My style changes everyday, but I never make apologies for what I wear.”

What do you guys think of Mademoiselle Damaris?

  1. Not god awful but she needs some improvement. The pic with the leopard cardigan shouldnt have even been included. Looks sloppy or just a mess.

Im looking hard but I dont really get a sense of her style from these pics. I just dont see much. Maybe more looks should have been included.

  2. let me just tell you them jeans shorts? they don’t work for you.

love the curls and the face your giving -snapsnap-

  3. I don’t see anything new or fresh based on these pics….I’m also confused b/c she says she doesn’t follow trends but the Lady Gaga shades and the nerd frames both scream trendy to me.

  4. -____- Im from Delaware. Im disappointed. Cute girl. Cute style. Needs more photos. Just nothing new and ‘ooooo, aahhhh’…its more like … ‘boooo; oooohhh o_O’

  5. I want to have half of your closet and about half of your looks are great, you are beautiful! Even though it’s not very original (yes, we’ve “seen this before”), yet I don’t think all these ladies talking on about this every time, acting all fashionqueen alike (“this doesn’t workf for you, it’s a crime wearing lady gaga shades”) are so damn original! I love the outfits you’ve put together. We should stop having such a pressure in fashion, fashion must stay fun!

  6. Hey Ladies,
It’s Damaris. Thanks Claire for the spotlight! Thank you guys for all of the responses (the good the bad and the ugly) lol. I noticed a lot of “need more looks” comments so I added some more looks on my blog (http://thestylecloset.net), feel free to check them out. In response to the “gaga glasses” comment I never wore those outside I was on set doing a magazine cover shoot and I just tried those on (it was supposed to be funny) after all, Fashion is fun!

  7. Boring..Cute girl but I need to see more. The blue pumps are cute. The loo kwith the “high waisted” shorts and cardigan, why was that pic even sent? Not flattering at all! The other looks are pretty plain Jane/mediocre. I can not get a sense of her style based on these pics.

  8. Cute! I really like the blazer with those hawt blue suede heels and the tie-dye-ish jeans. I know people are probably seeing that outfit as having been done, but I think it’s a classic, effortless look that you executed so well!

  9. The first two looks are cute for that on the go everyday type of thing I’m just not sure if I’d submit them myself as something that showcases style.

  10. She is a good shopper, I’d say, because I do like most of her items. I don’t really like how she puts them together though.

  11. Yeah…her outfits are cute…not haute or fashion forward but…cute. I think her style is no better or worse than any other trendy girl that shops at H&M & Forever 21. What threw me off was her saying she doesn’t follow trends when clearly, she does(maybe that’s what threw the other gals off too?). It’s tough to have people criticize you, so Damaris I think you handled the feedback like a lady :-) Cute girl too!

  12. Gorgeous girl– great hair, pretty smile, nice skin, great figure. However, those are some hideous clothes.

  13. She’s very pretty. I don’t like those blue jeans against those blue pumps. Overall, cool. I think her looks could benefit from warmer colors and patterns…not so much black, blue and grey.

  14. Sheesh! Tough crowd, I see some valid points & other comments I think were just abusing the anonymous setting. For the average girl, Damaris’ style is nice. I don’t think a vet in the fashion industry would label her a “fashionista” but she’s not too far left. Damaris, I understand you make no apologies about your style & you shouldn’t. But it would be wise to accept a few pointers…the black & white fit in the last photo is not the most flattering – it looks frumpy :-( I also have to agree w/ the other ladies about the outfit w/ the denim shorts(sorry). If you’re not atleast 5 ft 7 inches, 120 lbs – give them to someone who is. That cut is hard for MOST body types to fit. Out of all your pics here, the blazer & blue pumps get my vote bc it looks the most effortless. I see that you have a blog as well, so you may want to freshen up on your fashion vocabulary bc I can spot every trend from atleast 4 seasons ago in your pics. Please don’t be offended as i just wanted to leave constructive criticism as opposed to just being negative. Wish you luck in your endeavors. “Just keep swimming” :-)

  15. As a lover of fashion and design since the age of 6 and a graduate of Parson’s, her style is certainly all over the place. I can tell she reads the magazines and pulls inspirations from there, this would make her a trendy girl. As someone who lives for fashion, I feel like “I don’t follow trends” is a new catchphrase and half of the ppl saying this actually do. There is nothing wrong with being trendy, embrace it. If you’re going for a certain look, it must be executed well. She does have good pieces but wrong execution. I know ppl who’s style isn’t mainstream at all but is executed to a tee. I looked at her extra pics on her blog and she definitely chose the wrong pics to submit however, her style is quite simple & safe. My advice would be to embrace that and build from there, don’t try so hard to be ‘edgy’.

  16. She says she doesn’t follow trends but everything she has on is a “trend.” From the combat boots down to the cobalt blue pumps and jean vest. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of new trends but she’s definitely not a trend setter.

  17. Also, I agree with Regina. Her looks are all over the place. It seems as though she just likes to try different looks she sees on other people. Get one style and stick with it.

  18. Damaris, you’re gorgeous. My only question is: why do you ever straighten your hair? Haha jay-kay, its beautiful either way. :D

  19. I agree with Regina’s comment also. She is all over the place. Plus she is ALL over the place with business matters also, just to add my personal 2cent ;)
